OBAMA
GOING
AROUND CONGRESS
STRAIGHT TO THE UN
SHOWING HIS OPEN DISDAIN FOR OUR SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT
In many different ways and in open comments, our President has shown he has no respect for our system of government. With his statements about the fundamental mistakes of our founders, to his overreach on executive orders, the President continues to thumb his nose at our the Republic and her laws. But now, on his Iranian deal, he might have gone too far.
Fox reports
just months away, much of the President’s support could evaporate.
Of course Kerry claims there was no disrespect intended. He claims that it is wrong to make the other nations wait on us.

We better speak up before it is too late.

The U.N. Security Council on Monday unanimously endorsed the Iran nuclear deal, though the show of support was interrupted shortly afterward by a war of words between the American and Iranian ambassadors. Now, what we have is a vote by an international organization on our treaty. I realize that other nations are involved, and they should have a vote on this treaty. The problem is that the proper channels were not passed through first. The Congress of the U.S. has yet to review and pass the deal.
Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., on Monday called it an “end-run around Congress.”There is a small chance that the treaty will not pass through both houses. Because there were critics from both parties, the deal is likely to face some opposition. The feelings of the American people also could weigh heavy on this deal and with the campaign season
“I don’t know why they’re going to the United Nations [first],” Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told “Fox News Sunday.”
Cardin and Barrasso were joined by several top-ranking lawmakers on both sides of the aisle in urging a pause at the U.N.

“They have a right to [vote on the deal], honestly. It’s presumptuous of some people to suspect that France, Russia, China, Germany, Britain ought to do what the Congress tells them to do,” Secretary of State John Kerry told ABC’s “This Week.” “They have a right to have a vote. But we prevailed on them to delay the implementation of that vote out of respect for our Congress so we wouldn’t be jamming them.”It almost sounds as if Kerry was pining for their way of doing things. “ They get it done faster. They are ready to go now, but we are waiting on our politicians.” It is as if the Administration was wishing to make the decisions and just inform us of what they were doing.

The vote Monday authorizes a series of measures leading to the end of U.N. sanctions that have hurt Iran’s economy. But the measure also provides a mechanism for U.N. sanctions to “snap back” in place if Iran fails to meet its obligations. No matter how Kerry spins this, the U.N. voted and our ambassador moved forward on the administration’s word and not on Congresses. This is not how things are supposed to be done, but “we the people” nor Congress will do anything. It seems almost as if our Dictator-in-Chief is pushing to see what he can get away with, and it seems that we are not going to say “enough.”
We better speak up before it is too late.
