This is a personal inquiry from myself looking for a confirmation of a UFO sighting.
This Friday morning at around 7:20 am EST in Orlando, Florida ------ I SAW A LARGE STATIONARY OBJECT CLOSE TO THE MOON. It had a bright singular light which shadowed a large circular object.
I am looking for a confirmation of anyone else seeing this.

Venus, moon to offer Friday morning treat
Taking a glance at both Venus and the moon in the sky, you may think that Venus is the brighter of the two, but it's actually the moon.

With daylight saving time still in effect across most of the United States and Canada, the sun is now rising at many localities after 7 a.m. local time. That means dawn is coming late, so a lot of people may head out to work or school these days under a fairly dark sky.
On Friday morning (Oct. 12), early risers will be in for a treat as the two brightest objects in the night sky approach each other to make for a lovely celestial scene — something to admire while you're perhaps waiting for the bus or train.
Looking low toward the east-northeast beginning around 4 a.m. local time, you'll see a narrow waning crescent moon, just 12-percent illuminated. Situated about 7 degrees above and to its left will be the brilliant planet Venus. (Your clenched fist extended at arm's length measures roughly 10 degrees across).
By the time sunrise comes about three hours later, this eye-catching pair will appear about one-third of the way up from the southeast horizon to the point directly overhead (the zenith).
John, I did not see this BUT.... Last night (early this morning I did see something disturbing. Are they related??
Here is my post last night on Facebook about what I saw and the link to the comments since...
Was this a meteorite? I have heard nothing in the press about it but it did cross the sky in 3 seconds at 12:18 AMish. I made me stop in my tracks and stand there for some repeat event for over an hour to no avail. But if it was a meteorite; we should locally hear about where it hit as it was not tiny....
Here it is....
At around 12:18 AM Friday morning I was outside (Greater Orlando FL) and saw a very large glowing/flaming object cross the sky in a downward angle crossing the visible sky in 2-3 seconds' so low that the object and long tail was orange (you could perceive the color). It was big enough that it would take my thumb at arms length to cover the object.... So it was not high up or it was very large... Has anyone else out there seen or heard about this??

Yes, I've been watching that object since it first showed up somewhere between May 26th and June 11th. It is VERY visible to the naked eye. Here in the June 27th vid from the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, you can see the object rise from the lower left corner just after the Pleiades system at around the 1:20 mark: http://www.cfht.hawaii.edu/en/gallery/cloudcams/index.php?opts=movies&moviefile=data/movies/Jun27-2012.mp4 . If you sample a few dates in between then and now, you will see that the Pleiades and all other celestial bodies in the solar system follow their usual orbit, but the object in question remains stationary, always rising around the 1:20 mark. On Sept. 26th, CFHT began labeling the stars/planets, and the object was labeled as "Venus" - although that is impossible because Venus orbits and is most definitely not stationary: http://www.cfht.hawaii.edu/en/gallery/cloudcams/index.php?opts=movies&moviefile=data/movies/Sep26-2012.mp4 . Here is today's vid for your convenience: http://www.cfht.hawaii.edu/en/gallery/cloudcams/index.php?opts=movies&moviefile=data/movies/Oct12-2012.mp4
I saw something like this 2 weeks ago or so.
