Yeah, this a racist posting. Is the rest of this web site as racist as this post?
What's racist about it? Have you been in Detroit lately?? I live in Michigan and unfortunately have to go to Detroit now and then.. Believe me, nothing racist about it!! It's the truth and a fact!!!
Sometimes you have to see it for yourself to believe it! Any other city I might agree with you, but this is Detroit dude!
Besides, what are you doing? trying to incite race baiting here??
Besides that, for all you know, I may be a white guy or a black guy, One thing is for sure though.. Wees alls got 2 eyes, 2 feet, 2 legs, 2 arms, 2 hands, , red blood, crap, and piss the same way.
Sure as hell don't dress the same way, I know my size for pants and know how to properly use a belt...
And now my thoughts on the current reality....
I never laughed so hard until seeing these photographs.
At first, I didn't know if I should laugh or cry?
I was born in Los Angeles 12-14-53 and rode the busses all over town with my
grandmother. Life was subdued until the Watts riots.
It always struck me odd that very nice black gentlemen sat at the very back
of the bus.
Fearless and friendly as I am, I would stand on the rear back bench seat to
look out the window until the bus started rolling.
I think they knew I had absolutely no animous in me,
just curiosity about their seating arrangement.
Early in life was my exposure to all types of music, including
the explosion from Motown.
'Nowhere to Run' by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas is a favorite
to 'I'll Take You There' by The Staple Singers;
The Supremes, The Temptations, The Four Tops,
all contributors to my love of 'soul music'.
They set a tone for a lot of our music.
Today they 'rap' to convey their messages.
Black people had a lot to be proud of, in many arenas of American life.
What we are witnessing today as seen from these photos, really
doesn't do justice to the truth in the back story
of how it was done, allowed to happen and
systematically perpetrated on them as a race.
It was all carried out covertly by stealth.
No race in their right mind wants to be thought of
as what they have been made to become, at the dark hands
of our 'caring' federal government, and welfare bribes.
I want them to evolve back to a position they deserve,
just like all Americans.
.
From poverty, all other social ills follow.
That road back is going to be a slow, long haul for sure.
But it is not impossible.
As for Detroit, and any other American cities in the same state of disrepair,
I would love to see all manner of property improvements made to
dilapidated real estate, neighborhoods and especially schools,
to help start the comeback.
I hope new money sources of some type, are going to be part of
the 'transition', so those that are able, can teach and do with blacks
and other race pockets, things that need immediate attention in their communities.
The natives may not even be aware of their illiteracy levels.
So that means major revamping of the educational system.
We will all benefit later, when we set 'history' straight, toward the truths.
I will never forgive the CIA / 'criminally insane agency' for unleashing
and 'pushing' drugs in this country, and I don't mean grass.
You can thank THEM for contributing to what you see, get it?
And for one of my last thoughts on how blacks were
disrespected, mistreated and led to their present status,
never forget
that the 'oh so pious'
Pope Pius XII, forbade black US troops
from being housed in or around Rome, Italy
during World War II.
Think about that....
'God on earth'
Disciple of 'Christ'
Spiritual leader of 'good' example
'Moral' authority
'Shepherd' of the global flock.....
MY ASS!!!
Sorry, must give credit where credit is due.
The 'Church' is both directly and indirectly responsible
for some of what we see and know presently,
in Detroit and elsewhere.
May Mystery, Babylon Be Damned!
for her profit and part in all of this.
"Racism" and "racist" have lately ceased to have any meaning. The words are too overused. It's gotten to be like that guy you know who puts the f-word into practically every sentence. You want him to shut up and you want the race-baiters to shut up, too.
Dude - you need to grow up. This kind of nonsensical thinking is what keeps allot of people in the lower level of society that they find themselves in - many for family generations. The idea with Detroit is to overcome this kind of thinking and take responsibility for one's life. Detroit is attempting to do just that. The people there care about their community and are doing what they can - even if little by little - to bring back unity, harmony, cohieveness and community instead of doing nothing but condemning, laziness, breaking into businesses to steal what they can and simply live off others, and labeling efforts to identify the issues and work together to get them successfully resolved as 'racist'. If this is 'racist' - so be it. Become one of the 'doers' of GOOD to restore instead of continuing down a NEGATIVE life path, condemning others who are working to unite, heal and rebuild.
Actually, confusion about this situation stems from a report the Pope received about French Algerian troops. The report said that these troops had raped and pillaged in other areas where they were stationed, and the Pope did not want these specific soldiers stationed in Rome. Pius expressed his concerns about these specific men to British Ambassador Osborne who broadened the statement in his cable back to London, saying that the Pope did not want “colored troops” stationed at the Vatican. Bradley said that Pius was talking about African-American troops, which is clearly not correct.
Thank you David for clearing that up, I have never heard this accusation against the Pope.
