a couple of months ago during the Pope's visit to South America, but
still relevant today, in light of his upcoming visit to the United
States later this month. The question I have is, which of the 'Gods' of
the Universe is the Pope referring to who instructed him to revise the
Ten Commandments?

GUAYAQUIL, Ec. – Pope Francis kicked off the
start of a three-nation trip across South America today with his first
mass, with over a million Ecuadorians in attendance, in the coastal city
of Guayaquil. Delivering the mass in Spanish, the Pope spoke about the
importance of family in modern
society, saying, “It needs to be helped and strengthened, lest we lose
our proper sense of the services which society as a whole provides.”
During his sermon, Pope Francis announced to Christians around the world that God had called upon him, instructing him “to revise the most sacred of texts, the Ten Commandments.”
Given to the Israelites by God himself at Mount Sinai, the Commandments
include instructions for worship and list several prohibited practices.
Pope Francis said Christians around the world
are “faced with ever-increasing temptations brought on by the evils of
modern society.” The Pope said the updated Commandments reflect the
changing times and include some minor rewording of the existing rules as
well as the addition of two new Commandments.
The Fourth Commandment, which advocates that proper respect be shown towards one’s parents, has been reworded in order to include children raised by same-sex parents. Pope Francis said the Seventh Commandment, prohibiting adultery and, among other things, homosexuality, has been removed entirely, as instructed by God, in order to extend “God’s grace to all His children.”
Addressing the inclusion of the new
Commandments, which bring the total number to eleven, Pope Francis
praised the rapid growth of technology in the digital age but said
“progress comes at a price.” The new Fifth Commandment, which replaces
the prohibition of adultery, forbids all aspects of genetic engineering
and bans the consumption of genetically modified foods.
Lastly, the Eleventh Commandment disallows
personal idolization and the glorification of one’s self over God. Using
the Kardashians, a highly publicized celebrity family, as an example, Pope Francis said, “Selfies are an abomination in the eyes of our Lord.”

There are hundreds of gods. The question I have is which one gave moses the ten commandments in the first place?
If you believe there are many gods then maybe there aren't any at all as God Almighty is a figment of people's imagination as no one has ever seen Him or Moses, so the Holy Bible must be a bunch of lies and therefore Satan is a big lie or else some may see that Lucifer is the true and one god.
So the Good Christian Values should NOT be complied with as telling lies, stealing, and killing are the normal standard of life on Earth.
Huh? Which one gave Moses the ten Commandments? Why don't you read the Bible and find out all about THE ONE who not only gave us the Commandments but life itself? He makes it very clear who He is from the first verse in Genesis all the way to the last verses in the book of Revelation, which also puts a curse on anyone who changes even the dot of an "i".in HIS book! His laws NEVER change. Only man, in his ignorant, evil and arrogant way, will twist the laws to suit himself so he can give himself a "license" to do evil.
Please Note: "Live" spelled backwards is "evil" - perhaps the antithesis of Life?
Is not LOVE the simplified message? Love of The Almighty Source of all Life & BEing Love, feeling same for oneself empowering one to also Love one another, as Yeshua/ Jesus taught & lived?? Can one live and manifest what one has not experienced within?
I cannot disagree with: extending “God’s grace to all His children.”; "forbids all aspects of genetic engineering (tampering w/ Source Design) and bans the consumption of genetically modified foods" (most unhealthy! NOT Life enhancing! perhaps not recognized as "evil" yet by uneducated people)

Whatever........God wrote the ten commandments with his own finger.

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
Also the greatest commandment from Jesus was to love one another, as He felt that if people had the emotion of love in their heart, that they would treat all people right and they would automatically then keep all of the commandments.

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
When asked, Jesus/Yeshua summed up: Love the LORD your God with all your Heart, mind.... and your neighbor as yourself.
To me, the cross symbolizes this: the vertical being one's connection to Almighty Source of Love, empowering one with same KNOWN & felt; the horizontal being one's choice to connect in Love with one's fellow sojourners while here in that same experiential LOVE, in practical matters.
Treat others as one wishes to be treated.
Seems simple. How can one LIVE what one has Not experienced and KNOWN??
Forgiveness: of self and others, by Grace Given as merciful gift, becomes another key component of wholey/ holy Living by Spirit's empowerment within to manifest heaven on earth both within and without, all around one.
Does not each creation bear a spark of Source Creator, thus deserving one's recognition and appreciation as such?
