That is true if you hold the 2009 series Zimbabwe Dollar. ....What has been sold to the dinar world in the US is the 2008 Zimbabwe Dollar.
The 2008 Zimbabwe Dollar was re denominated on Feb. 2, 2009. .....The old 2008 notes were re denominated to the tune of loosing 12 zeros. ....Therefore 1oo trillion 2008 Zimbabwe dollars are worth 100 2009 Zimbabwe dollars.
i.e. - That 1,000,000,000 Zim Dollar note you spoke of is worth one tenth of one cent US. ($ 0.001) ,,,,,But the note is still valid!

I don't think that number is correct. The dinar trades at .0086 and sells at about $1,000 per million. A ZWL 100 Trillion note would be worth about $31,000, delete six zeros, I believe. That's probably the first basket rate. - db
