MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on awarding French oil giant Total’s late head Christophe de Margerie with the Order of Honour, the Kremlin press service said on Saturday.
“For major contribution to strengthening economic and cultural ties between Russia and France, Christophe de Margerie - Total’s CEO and Chairman and a French national - shall be awarded with the Order of Honour (posthumously),” says the text of the decree.
Overnight to October 21 the four-seat Dassault Falcon business jet, en route to Paris, collided with a snow plough during takeoff, caught fire and crashed onto the runway at Moscow’s Vnukovo-3 airport.
