was written by a 21 yr old female who gets it. It's her future she's worried
about and this is how she feels about the social welfare big government state
that she's being forced to live in! These solutions are just common sense in
her opinion.
This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco , TX Nov 18, 2010 Put me in charge . . . Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job. Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job. Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place. In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.." Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules.. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem. If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices. AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job. Now, if you have the guts - PASS IT ON... |

Why all the accolades about what this 21 year old privileged child has written?? This girl is still wet behind her ears and has no real life experience as yet to be making ANY decisions on behalf of others. Some of what she states is on target but there is allot insinuated that speaks of this girl having no life experience such as those who are receiving food, medical and housing assistance, nor does she show compassion for those who are in need. Christ said that 'the poor will always be with you,' He expects us to care for the widows, women and children. i doubt that this little babe would have any concern whatsoever for another - only for herself. Maybe someone can do her a real favor and put her in a situation to have to reach out for help for herself. THEN maybe she will understand and think differently. Her day to experience hunger, living in a tent or cardboard box and suffering toothaches may be soon coming with all that is coming down in this nation. For those who agree with her 'philosophy,' there but for the grace of God may be you my friend.

You have gone toooooo far the other way... cig's are an addiction as alcohol, drugs can be as well... How can you tell someone they can not have the right to smoke a cigarette? Do you want to take coke and pepsi away involunteerly too? Yes, there are abuses, but be reasonable and be realistic, not another Hitler please... Make people responsible, but not under martial law to be what you want them to be. That guy on medicare who happens to smoke a cig. or have a nip every now and then, or whatever, paid the same as you did and deserves the same respect. That smoker was a Free American... You want out other freedoms as well to suit what you want? Ho Ho's are food, maybe not what you want me to eat... but maybe what I want to eat. A steak, well I am a vegetarian and perhaps I should go ballistic on those who eat meat and take that away.... I would not think of doing that to another person... God Gave Us FREE WILL... and you want to take it away.... Frozen Pizza is cheaper than home made pizza... so there... and a staple if you are Greek or Itallian... or even a Vegetarian... Step on your own toes and back off on things that you do not know how to include in that which is for another who perhaps can not work because they are 92 and still like Pizza.... Think before writing...
Teach people not to rely on the government; to supply for themself and help in their community...But don't take away Free Will...
In light of the new era of human compassion, this article offends me. I will howeverask for higher guidance and request that the light shine on you.
You are not better than any other person whether they recieve government aid or not.

Excellent!! Did no one read this first post? The problem starts with the elites and politicians. Cut THEM first...creat jobs...what the 21 year old is telling me that they are coditioning the people for the final controls. Get the people to accept and ask for this slave labor...then finish off the rest of small business and elliminate all jobs. The corporate governments control all the corporations so if all the people are reduced to accepting "corporate government" jobs guess what? They can further eliminate how much they ahve to provide for their subjects. Come on People...wake up!! Use your creative thinking and stop taking this crap at face value but see how it applies to "LIBERTY"...the probelm is there are NO JOBS!! ELIMINATE THE POLITICIANS BENEFITS...THEY HAVE HUGE BANK ACCOUNTS...HOW DID THEY GET THE MONEY BASED SOLELY ON THEIR INCOME?? THEY DO NOT INCLUDE THEMSELVES IN THE REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH...HAVE YOU NOTICED?
Create the problem...then rush in with the solution... that is what they live by..."false flags"... I say eliminate their positions!! People we are only FREE if we live and think as a FREE PEOPLE!! Get them out of the way with all their "regualtions" that killed our industry for job growth, and America will once again prosper...the American people are innovative and ambitious!! This bugs me a lot. I agree the system is abused, but the limitations you have set are just as abusive. I am sure you have not meant it to be that way, but it is. Now, go cut the budgets of those in Gov't and public service. List what they should have, how many, how often, under what specific circumstance and what cost limits are. I would agree to removing the steak from them, for the most part. Ahh, or was this the welfare partakers you were speaking of? I am sure they are using the Medicare, Social Security, Welfare, Disability funds to their ends... makes more sense to me now...
It's comments like these that encourage me. There is a lot of partisan finger-pointing with the articles and it's nice to see people not taking the bait and thinking for themselves/ seeing the big picture. If only people started to realize the same people are in control in most places and many of these international incidents are designed to create the same division/hate/fear.
So basically the gist of this child's ideas are that poor people shouldn't be allowed to eat meat, just beans, rice, powdered milk and blocks of cheese. I don't give a hoot about the ding dongs and twinkies but why should poor people not be allowed to eat a balanced diet? I have a child that can not eat the cheese and milk products so if I were on food stamps she would probably starve according to this wet behind the ears idiot (obviously she wouldn't care). What a serious lack of compassion for your fellow human beings you have child. She also doesn't have a clue that people on food stamps can't buy cigs, alcohol, toilet paper, shampoo etc. with food stamps there are strict state laws in place regarding such things (I've been a cashier/grocery clerk for years). My jobs barely cover my expenses but in no way would I deny some other human being basic human rights. Someone forgot to tell her that their are not that many jobs to be had anywhere. I also agree with Anon 11:02, Anon 1:28 and Anon 2:10 p.m. Only a spoiled rotten, holier than thou, self entitled little pig would spew such ignorant crap out of her mouth. So much for good parenting. IMO her parents should have not been allowed to have a child (obviously not enough brain power in their genetics) that they raised to spew such hatred for her fellow human beings. HEY YOU.. Christ did talk about the poor and how we should help them, and does this mean to continue to offer them everything free. Where exactly is the help in doing that? Giving people free stuff without requiring them to earn by doing something other than sitting on their lazy butts. Your kind of thinking only hinders and harms the poors growth.
That young girl has far more sense than you do, and it is blatantly obvious. She seems to understand the difference in hindering growth of individuals by giving them freebies and actually teaching them to fish... Whoever wrote this got us thinking, didn't they? This is the mixed up non-thought, perspective of a slave master's minion we are dealing with in real time now. If we are not careful, don't disturbe the brainwashing and help recover those already brainwashed, this will be all there is left in the gene pool.
I agree many things need to be corrected. Many of these people on Social Security and Medicare are the very one.s that fought for your freedom so you could run your mouth on how you would change things. So please take the silver spoon out of your mouth and try living on what we paid into the government for our retirement, you or the government are not giving us anything. WE PAID INTO THIS SYSTEM FOR OUR RETIREMENT. Keep the politicans hands out of the cookie jar.
It is the Govt managing ... unduly and many times illegally messing with YOUR money, YOUR Food and YOUR life, for either good, or evil... but their will... not the will of the people. The Govt has overgrown its need and usefulness to those governed. The Govt is taking on a life of its own, no longer a service, but becoming a Frankenstein of sorts that is creating red tape and red herrings to confuse and tangle up what is important to the life, liberty and freedom of the people. The Govt has become an unruly child in need of serious deprogramming and correction. It is no longer serving the people but enslaving us all as we allow this to take place.

Forced labor and punishment is not part of the deal for paying taxes to handle times that are lean. Do you know where those tax dollars have really gone thus far? It has been paid in and not to be touched for other reasons, where is it? Change is needed, but not in the fanatical version written by our youth. Would you rather buy our inhouse government royalty a few more lavish adornments?
