Gays, High Courts Claim Positions Above God - Defense of Marriage Act Overturned

In a land where the IRS demands more (up to half or more) than Almighty God requests (10%), the Babylonian Supreme Court has overturned the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), taking a position of judgment higher than God who created the institution of marriage.
There should never have been any need to create a DOMA legislation in the first place, DOMA defined marriage for federal purposes as the union of one man and one woman, which is what God created. Marriage is the union of a man and a woman. No distortions, twists, re-labeling, or attempts to re-invent can change that.
The high courts, gays and gay movement have reached a plateau of epic proportions - attempting to seat themselves above what God Almighty, himself, created. Was this ruling made to appease King Obombya?
At least this editor doesn't have to live in D.C. the DEN OF CRIMINALS, nor Californica. Maybe the U.S. will go down in world history one day as the queer country that self-destructed.

I don't really see why it should matter. By telling people they can't get married all anyone is doing is trying to control the lives of others. Gods and Mother Goddess can about unconditional love and they will never condemn anyone for living another person. That God said marriage is only between man and woman is a load of crap. Don't anyone spout bible crap at me because at best I feel it is a history book. There is no proof anywhere on Earth that it is actually God's word.
The best thing that can be done is for the government to get out of the marriage business. Marriage should only be recognized by the Church?
God's clearly uncivilized if your God can't give equal rights to all :) Though that's your image of God, I mean nobody heard what God's opinion was he/she/it has never been interviewed. For all you know all religions could have been created or manipulated by a few dark intended individuals. So if it doesn't give equal rights to all, yes including those who aren't straight (Shocker, I know :O) then maybe it doesn't belong in the World.
Yes indeed. Marriage is far older than government. It has no business defining marriage whatsoever. It has to do with property settlement, power of attorney and children in the event of divorce or death of partners. Therefore everyone can register as domestic partners, gay and straight. It is a certainty that the super majority of partners will be straight couples. That is natural. That does not bar gays from marriage however. They can even have their own churches if they wish and churches decide if they will accommodate gays. Not the governments business to dictate to religions. This is freedom. That guarantees there will be expressions you do not like in the world. But if you would have freedom you must defend the freedom of others or no one has freedom. So get over it, move on and enjoy freedom of associations. Be with those you enjoy.

That's exactly correct. Nor is it the governments business what a woman does with her body. Or a man for that matter. Perhaps if it became law that all unwanted children were the result of an ignorant man and his penis should be cut off then we will see some significant changes and lenience in the laws.

Considering that about 50% of marriages in the USA end in divorce, I will say Gay people have little to celebrate. Of the other 50%, 25% cheat on eachother so they can keep the marriage charade going,
15% stay together because of money issues either too much or too little, kids, insurance, etc.,and only 10% stay together because they actually love and respect eachother. It is interesting to watch all the religious people waiving their bibles on the air, and pointing fingers, foaming on the mouth prediting an endless fire will engulf everyone refusing to listen to them telling them how to live their lifes. God should be proud! A MARRIAGE SHOULD BE BETWEEN THE 2 PEOPLE IN IT. No State, No Church, No Other People!!!
People who quote the Bible as justification for their judgments are hypocrites. If so-called religious believers truly took the Bible to heart, they'd be following every "rule" in there. But they don't, therefore their preaching is, no offense, a load of crap.
Organized religion is another mind control mechanism. Believing in God is one thing. Quoting the Bible, which was written by MAN, and using religion to pass judgment on others goes against what the most common sermon is: Love one another.

he did give equal rights to all, but that was before the fallen angels came down and were hell bent on making as many of us do the wrong things as possible (He ((satan)) will take as many with him as he can!), so... don't bring god into this as i'm sure we all know by now that God's stance on this situation couldn't be more plain.
