As a member of society with free will choice. Barack Obama should UNDERSTAND that I CHOOSE liberty!

GOD PROVIDES all the security I need, PROTECTS my privacy and DOES NOT SHARE my information with anyone...that is the definition of PEACE!

God is so good!

That is a dumb illustration because what Obama said is true. Of course you can't have zero inconvenience and have any amount of security. When the States ratified the Constitution, they literally gave up some liberty for security. The States were independent under the Articles of Confederation and gave up sovereignty in order to gain the security that came with union in a federal system. The "Constitutional Convention" didn't start out as the "Constitutional Convention." It started out as a meeting of delegates to solve problems under the Articles of Confederation, the most pressing was the armed, anti-government uprisings led Daniel Shays. The founders, very alarmed by the uprisings, met because the government was ineffectual at putting down the rebellion. Some wealthy citizens actually had to hire their own mercenaries to put down the rebellion. Notice that one of the goals stated in the preamble was to "insure domestic tranquility." And notice the word "security" in the 2nd Amendment: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state..." The intent was to give states the power to call up their citizens to serve in a militia to do things like put down armed uprisings (So no, the 2nd Amendment was NOT added so that people could overthrow the government). Being called upon to serve in a militia can be rather "incovenient." After the Constitution was ratified, President Washington led federalized miltia to put down the Whiskey rebellion--yet another anti-government uprising. If 9-11 had happned during a democratic administration, you folks would still be blaming "democrats." The fact is, the Bush administration failed to connect the dots. The intell was there, and they didn't put it together. The GOP controlled House and Senate along with President Bush passed the PATRIOT ACT and all these years later, you are now crying fowl. So, yes, as a society, we have to figure out what the balance should be between privacy and security. Clearly, there are tradeoffs. If you want to live truly free, perhaps consider moving to some lawless African country where the government is inept and ineffectual. You can then live in anarchical bliss.
