White House gets ready for shutdown

The White House told federal agencies on Tuesday to prepare for a government shutdown.
President Obama's budget director Sylvia Matthews Burwell in a memo to agencies said they should set their plans in case Congress fails to pass a funding measure by the end of the month. The government would shut down Oct. 1 without action by Congress.
Only activities that are required by law would be allowed to continue to function during a shutdown, the memo states. A similar memo was released twice in 2011 amid potential shutdowns.
Conservative Republicans in the House and Senate are demanding that any government funding bill include language defunding ObamaCare and have said they will oppose a funding measure that doesn't include the ObamaCare defunding language.
Since Senate Democrats and President Obama are not expected to accept such language, the bill would likely lead to a government shutdown Oct. 1.
GOP leaders are expected to discuss various options for moving forward at a conference meeting Wednesday. Leaders appear to be leaning toward bringing a bill to the floor that would include language defunding ObamaCare.
The last government shutdown came in 1996. Washington came close to shutting down several times in 2011 amid budget fights.

Some one should check out to see if the Feds will still get their paychecks if there is a Shutdown, However Social Security Checks, Welfare, Medicare payments, and food stamps will be Halted!
I do find this very suspicious, I mean everything is lining up for them to all run and hide underground by October 1st ! All of the fema supplies, all of the training, all deliveries of the items ordered by fema, the resignations, now a government shut down, how convenient, it is all to occur on or by Oct. 1st. Something big is up ! I am not a fear monger, I love my Saviour LORD JESUS CHRIST ! I trust no man. However something smells in dc...........
They could have anticipated this back while shoving unaffordable health care act down Americans throats. This is apparently how they think ahead.. Just saying..

You're right. They can never pass a budget on time but the guberment still keeps rolling along. Just have the Feds print up some more funny money to cover their asses. Nothing is going to be shut down.

Someone should check to see if other government employees in 1996 were Required to continue to work WITHOUT a paycheck but Congress and the President's staff kept getting theirs even though they WERE NOT WORKING!
Start asking questions with Federal employees and see if they approve of this!

I wish the Fed Govt would shut down PERMANENTLY. The only thing that scares people is that they may not get their govt check. (Half of them don't realize that money comes from the REST of us.) In any case, the checks can be paid through the States. ABOLISH the entire federal CORRUPT, LAWLESS, ANTI-AMERICAN govt -- all 3 branches (courts, administration, congress), keep our tax money within our states, and bring the troops home to the State Natiional Guards. Currently, ALL federal taxes go straight to the PRIVATE Rothschild/Rockefeller zionist Federal Reserve Bank to be distributed among its elite illuminati owners. Our State taxes already pay for road maintenance and most other things. Education worked MUCH better at the State level prior to be "taken over" by the Feds. And everything else did too.
