If you wondered where the automotive jobs went...

They are now doing the robots and the software which runs them and the plant design where the cars are made.

There's one in Germany that's bigger.
It's a sad state of affairs because these cars are still engineered to break themselves within 10 years.

80 percent of GM cars and business is conducted in China. Wasn't it nice of the American taxpayers to bail them out?

Good people. Automotive manufacturing jobs are never comming back - ever! They have gone the way of buggy whips, and flash bulbs, and Polaroid cameras, and button hooks (what?). It's called progress - maybe it is or maybe it isn't. Either way, it's going to happen, so take a couple of Advil and get over it.

Shortly, when you want a new car, you'll print one out in your own garage. A printed car has already been done, and now they are printing out the first house. What does that mean for jobs? Beats me... The one thing we can count on is that nothing will ever be the same. Take a deep breath and hold on, it's gonna be a wild ride.
