An interesting look at who the burden of war falls upon the most in modern times.
As the United States military shifted to an all volunteer force over
the years the burden of war has fallen on a smaller percentage of the
population. It’s very easy for politicians to get into wars and send
someone else to fight them. It’s seems much more difficult for
politicians to take care of those who they sent to fight their wars.
