GOD IS THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, NOT LIES. FROM ERASMUS OF AMERICA - JULY 19, 2013

"LISTEN TO THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE!" - THE BIBLE

Positions must be taken if we are to approach early Apostolic Christianity. Did first Christianity teach true Apostolic Christianity and if so, for how long? If from the start, the Apostles and their first successors taught error, then Christ failed in His mission on earth and Christianity has yet to be established in earth! I hold to the position that Christ and His Apostles knew what they were doing and so we have a track record of first Christianity preaching Apostolic Christianity as Jesus Christ intended. Next question is how long did they preach true Apostolic Christianity and their recorded public stands show how they stood back then, so how long do we study the early Christian writings before saying we can trust them no more as they are now corrupted in teaching? My own evaluation from studying the early Christian writings is that they held to basically constant positions for at least the first 400 years after the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. That gives us a good measuring stick to see what their constant stands and teachings in Christianity were for this period of constancy.
St. Augustine close to 400 years after Christ said that Christianity was still getting stunning Miracles of God and ordinary Christians needed to help publicize them to others to help win those in the Roman Empire who were not Christians. Our future Bishop John of Constantinople who was the golden orator of the Eastern half of Christianity around 360 - 370 A.D. sprung into action when a delegation from Constantinople said they had examined the Imperial Tax Archive Records in Rome and found the tax census records from Palatine showing that Jesus Christ was born at Bethlehem on December 25. He backed up this announcement about Jesus being listed in the tax census records for Palestine by showing that the Bible backed up this time for the birth of Jesus Christ. He said the New Testament shows when John the Baptist was conceived because his father was a Levite priest and the New Testament told when on the schedule for the Temple priests that he became the father to John the Baptist as soon as he left his scheduled shift amont the priests. Six months after that Mary visits Elizabeth and the unborn baby John the Baptist leaps in the womb of Elizabeth as Mary is now bearing the Messiah in her womb. It is known when John the Baptist is born and add six months to that and you know when Jesus is born. John the brilliant golden orator of the East shows that on the Roman calendar, this apparently makes December 25 the birthday of Jesus Christ according to the time schedule in the New Testament. This may step on the toes of many Protestant scholars who said that Jesus Christ could not have been born on December and that time for the birth of Jesus was invented to replace the pagan holiday celebrated on December 25. Also, some Catholic scholars got suckered into the same trap of scholarship as they had all read in "The Antiquities Of The Jews" by Josephus that Herod the Great died shortly before a lunar eclipse and both Protestant and Catholic scholars knew of a lunar eclipse for 5 B.C. and Jesus had to be born before Herod the Great died they reasoned. It was the Protestant scholar Grant Jeffrey who dug up the overlooked date of a lunar eclipse in 1 B.C. The Protestant scholars and some Catholic scholars thought that the early Christian writers must have been dumb hick scholars because they wrote that Jesus was born in the 42nd year of the reign of Augustus Caesar and 28 years after the death of Cleopatra of Egypt in 30 B.C. Having studied Latin and Roman history in military school, I knew Roman culture and Augustus Caesar wanted to date the beginning of his reign from the reading of the will of Julius Caesar in 44 B.C. to show that he was the named heir of Julius Caesar who he was the stepson of and also entitled because of this to be declared a god by the Roman Senate when Roman Emperor. So these two references show the early Christian writers were showing that Jesus was born in 2 B.C. or else very close to it and the Protestant and Catholic scholars were thinking how naive the early Christian writers were to write such a historical reference about the birth of Jesus Christ. They didn't know about the lunar eclipse of 1 B.C. meaning that Jesus Christ could have been born in 2 B.C. or even 1 B.C. as Herod the Great died just before a lunar eclipse.
And these Protestant and Catholic scholars thinking the Roman Catholic Church invented a fiction date in December for the birth of Jesus Christ did not check the Jewish religious calendar for then when Dec. 25 would have been Hannukah the feast of lights and religious pilgrims would crowd out the inn at Bethlehem on their way to worship at the Temple in Jerusalem. Pharisees then thought the Roman solar calendar more accurate than the Jewish lunar calendar and so at that time according to an astronomical reference I saw on the history for then tried to coordinate their Jewish calendar with the Roman calendar for that period of time. Apparently Jesus Christ was born on December 25 which was the Jewish religious holiday of Hannakah then.
Lactantius who was tutoring the son of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great about Christianity then in one of his writings suggested that Jesus Christ might return to rule over the earth on the date of his birthday which they called in early Christianity "The Feast of the Nativity" what we now call Christmas. Lactantius also wrote around 315 A.D. about the city of the elect of Jesus Christ that would exist on earth shortly before the prophesied world tribulation and this community would be an amazing place of greatness of the Christians and a glory to Jesus Christ once it existed on earth. It would be founded before the Antichrist rules over the earth. Lactantius around 200 A.D. wrote about this amazing city of the Last Days. St. Augustine two centuries later wrote that this would be called the "camp of the saints." The Christian scholars today do not generally know the early roots of Apostolic Christianity is why I wrote the book by this name and use the ancient historical references of first Christianity the Christian scholars of today know little or nothing about today.
Sometime that impressed me was the high quality scholarship I found in much of the early Christian writings which defined what was "Apostolic Christianity" for Christianity in the 1st Century A.D., 2nd Century A.D., 3rd Century A.D., and up to basically the 4th Century A.D. And they had a high dedication to the truth which was impressive in comparison to this age of mass corruption in scholarship, clever cons passed off as academic answers, and too little love of the truth in many scholars of our age.

Early Christianity taught that love of the truth was the mark of a true Christian on earth. And the Christian who studied with diligence and integrity the teachings of Christianity as left us by Christ and the Apostles and their first trained successors and then carried out the teachings of Christianity on earth would enormously please Jesus Christ who would reward them enormously for wanting to practice the Christianity on earth that Jesus Christ had taught them in the New Testament and Church.
We are saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, but we are rewarded for all eternity for the good we do on earth when done in the right spirit and in love for our fellow man on earth.
Early Christianity taught on the 30 fold rewarded Christian, the 60 fold rewarded Christian, and the 100 fold rewarded Christian. As the New Testament states what Jesus wanted His people to be on earth, "A peculiar people zealous of good works."
Yours for God and Country, Erasmus of America (pen name for the one who noticed that Jesus promised the highest rewards to him in Revelation 2 who upholds on earth the works of Jesus Christ which stands for the Apostolic Christianity founded by Jesus Christ.)

True Christianity, as taught by Christ, was very soon involved in varying degrees of corruption. The Apostle Paul knew it was happening, and would accelerate after his death:

"For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also, of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them." --Acts 20:29,30

The Anti-Christ power was already beginning to be formulated...

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

"Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

"And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work. Only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." -2 Thessalonians 2:3-7

John agreed:

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." -1 John 4:3

Deceivers and apostates from true Christian faith and doctrine entered the Apostolic church while the apostles were yet alive--never mind after they were dead.

What to do?

"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." -Isaiah 8:20

One glaring inconsistency this fellow , Lactantius wrote in 315 ad and also 200ad which is a 115 year difference , not including time for childhood which wounld make this fellow at least 130 years old allowing for a 15 year childhood and then going into teaching and writing at the age of 15 . I can't be the only one to have noticed that........
