She's a former (as in, now fired) attorney with The World Bank.

A case that comes to mind is Garcetti v. Ceballos.

The reason this case comes to mind is that lawyer's aren't the best ones to do the whistleblowing. Why not? Ceballos meant well when he testified, but he was, at that (same) time, representing the very party he was testifying against, namely STATE OF CALIFORNIA. That's about as blatant a violation of ethics and privilege as exists.
Hudes means well, and she's a great witness. The information confirms everything that we "know," just knowing who the players are. But, she's also fired, and if she keeps her license, she'll be as blessed as Ceballos, for she, too, was testifying against her client.
That may or may not be a perspective that she's reflected upon.
The confirmation of the money-laundering is fascinating.
