Actor Richard Kiel Has Died at 74 - Especially Famous for 'Jaws' Role in Bond Films - VIDEO
Famous actor Richard Kiel, who thrilled us with his 'Jaws' role in 007 and other roles, has reportedly died on September 10, 2014 at age 74. Mr. Kiel was a 7 foot 1 & 1/2 inch tall man who stole the show in many of his appearances. His unusual character in 'The Spy Who Loved Me', and 'Moonraker' had steel teeth to add a more menacing appearance to that character.
It seems odd that Mr. Kiel went into the hospital for a broken leg and then died, but one report here indicates he may have been in a wheelchair for a time due to a previous accident.
Mr. Kiel had a good run of films and television, appearing with major stars, and delivered such a wonderful variety of characters. He will be missed by many fans, friends, viewers and admirers. According to the wiki information Mr. Kiel was a born-again Christian which helped him overcome alcoholism. Condolences to family and friends at this time.
