Assault Weapon Truth & Clarity

The anti-gun left and their allies, the news media, have been brainwashing the American people with a term that they made up - the "assault weapon." They try to say that guns with certain ergonomic features that resemble military weapons should not be owned by civilians, and they try to say that these rifles can shoot in full auto like military machine guns, which is not true. They will even show a video of an M-16 firing in full auto mode as they are reporting about "assault weapons." 

In fact, the guns they are talking about are exactly the same in operation as hunting rifles, but they have cosmetic features such as pistol grips, barrel shrouds, flash suppressors, collapsible shoulder stocks and are often finished in black or camo finish. But, they operate in the same way as all semi-auto rifles and pistols - when you pull the trigger, they fire one bullet.
