Unsealed court-settlement documents reveal banks stole $trillions' worth of houses

Back in 2012, the major US banks settled a federal mortgage-fraud lawsuit for $1B. The suit was filed by Lynn Szymoniak, a white-collar fraud specialist, whose own house had been fraudulently foreclosed-upon. When the feds settled with the banks, the evidence detailing the scope of their fraud was sealed, but as of last week, those docs are unsealed, and Szymoniak is shouting them from the hills. The banks precipitated the subprime crash by "securitizing" mortgages -- turning mortgages into bonds that could be sold to people looking for investment income -- and the securitization process involved transferring title for homes several times over. This title-transfer has a formal legal procedure, and in the absence of that procedure, no sale had taken place. See where this is going? The banks screwed up the title transfers. A lot. They sold bonds backed by houses they didn't own. When it came time to foreclose on those homes, they realized that they didn't actually own them, and so they committed felony after felony, forging the necessary documentation. They stole houses, by the neighborhood-load, and got away with it. The $1B settlement sounded like a big deal, back when the evidence was sealed. Now that Szymoniak's gotten it into the public eye, it's clear that $1B was a tiny slap on the wrist: the banks stole trillions of dollars' worth of houses from you and people like you, paid less than one percent in fines, and got to keep the homes. Now that it’s unsealed, Szymoniak, as the named plaintiff, can go forward and prove the case. Along with her legal team (which includes the law firm of Grant & Eisenhoffer, which has recovered more money under the False Claims Act than any firm in the country), Szymoniak can pursue discovery and go to trial against the rest of the named defendants, including HSBC, the Bank of New York Mellon, Deutsche Bank and US Bank. The expenses of the case, previously borne by the government, now are borne by Szymoniak and her team, but the percentages of recovery funds are also higher. “I’m really glad I was part of collecting this money for the government, and I’m looking forward to going through discovery and collecting the rest of it,” Szymoniak told Salon. It’s good that the case remains active, because the $1 billion settlement was a pittance compared to the enormity of the crime. By the end of 2009, private mortgage-backed securities trusts held one-third of all residential mortgages in the U.S. That means that tens of millions of home mortgages worth trillions of dollars have no legitimate underlying owner that can establish the right to foreclose. This hasn’t stopped banks from foreclosing anyway with false documents, and they are often successful, a testament to the breakdown of law in the judicial system. But to this day, the resulting chaos in disentangling ownership harms homeowners trying to sell these properties, as well as those trying to purchase them. And it renders some properties impossible to sell. To this day, banks foreclose on borrowers using fraudulent mortgage assignments, a legacy of failing to prosecute this conduct and instead letting banks pay a fine to settle it. This disappoints Szymoniak, who told Salon the owner of these loans is now essentially “whoever lies the most convincingly and whoever gets the benefit of doubt from the judge.” Szymoniak used her share of the settlement to start the Housing Justice Foundation, a non-profit that attempts to raise awareness of the continuing corruption of the nation’s courts and land title system.

War On Drugs: Air Force Floods Miami With Cocaine

According to the Costa Rica Star, the United States Air Force transported nearly twenty-four tons of government-seized cocaine from Costa Rica to Miami, Florida, on July 27^th.

Commentary and official press releases from Costa Rica’s Organization of Judicial Investigations explain that the Central American nation had been encountering serious problems with the destruction of cocaine bound for the United States that local authorities had confiscated. With so much cocaine to destroy—and with their lone incinerator broken—, the government of Costa Rica had to resort to using a cement factory to dispose of the contraband. However, their relationship with the factory came to an end when employees and other individuals involved in the risky operation began stealing and stockpiling the drugs on the sly.

According to the Costa Rica Star, Costa Rica’s Organization of Judicial Investigations petitioned the United States’ Drug Enforcement Agency for help, and on July 27^th, an American Air Force C-17 left Costa Rica with nearly twenty-four tons of the schedule II central nervous stimulant. However, few Costa Rican government officials knew about the operation, which has suggested ulterior motives and goals for the transport.
 

Ironically, the plane’s listed destination was Miami, Florida—one of the principal cocaine capitals of the world. Even more ironically, the plane made two stops on its way to Miami: once in Nicaragua and once in Honduras. Moreover, neither the U.S. Air Force nor the Organization of Judicial Investigations has been forthcoming about exactly what happened to the cocaine. Official press releases explain that their ostensible plan was to incinerate the cocaine with the assistance of the Costa Rican consul in Miami.

However, without any media coverage, independent investigation, or reliable sources, it is impossible to know what happened here. No one is following this incident. The military of the world’s leading cocaine market landed without proper permission in a foreign country and obtained nearly twenty-fours tons of a drug so criminalized in America that local governments imprison teenagers caught with just trace amounts of it. And this plane landed in two other leading cocaine trafficking sites. And then this plane landed in Miami. And no one cares.

While other military and government leaders are free to fly around with twenty-four tons of cocaine, local police still arrest and incarcerate petty dealers and users who are perhaps using the same cocaine our government is bringing into the country. It wasn’t that long ago our own CIA smuggled $14 million of cocaine into Los Angeles to assist the Contras in Nicaragua. This next double standard in the War on Drugs does not bode well for our nation.

IS WF and the Gurus Scamming Us?

Dinarians have been purposely led for many months now by the so called 'gurus' on the various blogs that Wells Fargo is THE bank to work with in exchanging our currencies. We are told over and over NOT to call WF, NOT to bother the WF employees, NOT to 'do this' and NOT to 'do that'.

We have read reports on the dinarian blogs of those who supposedly have been stopped by their branch managers and quietly told that the RV is in process and they are welcome to come to their branch and be assisted with their currency exchanges

We have been told by 'intel' that planes have been lined up on Reno airport tarmacs with 'whales' doing their exchanges; then we are told again weeks later - how many times now?  at least 4 different times or more?  about these 'whales' planes lining up on the Reno tarmac while they exchange their dinars? 

YET..........................................

John, absolutely EVERY contact Dale and I both have had in recent months with various WF branches in the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex regarding the pending worldwide revaluation of currencies and the pending currency exchanges has been met with the following:

1.  EVERY employee of WF ABSOLUTELY DENIES that WF will be doing ANY exchanges of IQD and/or VND

2.  EVERY employee does states that they do NOT know that there is a worldwide currency revaluation underway

3.  EVERY so called 'wealth manager' - most likely making an annual salary less than $100K if not less, and these guys are still wearing Pampers diapers - ABSOLUTELY DENY and ridicule the idea of a worldwide currency revaluation, ESPECIALLY THE IQD AND THE VND

4.  EVERY WF employee will NOT even spend time with us if they even suspicion we are coming in to open an account based on the  IQD and/or the VND

4.  EVERY employee REFUSES to work with us in opening trust accounts in which to place the funds received from the exchange process UNLESS we can put $8,000 of our own personal funds in to the trust account - which is a "No No" besides the fact we do not have $100 between us much less $8,000

1.  WHO can be trusted to tell the dinarians THE TRUTH?  Certainly the 'gurus'!!!!

2.  Is there REALLY a worldwide currency revaluation IN PROCESS?

3. IS it TRUE that WF is THE designated bank to conduct the currency exchange processes in the united States?

CFTC Warehouse Investigation..It's About Time!

For years...and I mean YEARS...I've been screaming from the top of my lungs that the physical
gold and silver warehousing by the large banks was a complete scam. Well today it's beginning
to look like the CFTC is FINALLY going to look into the matter:

"The source, who asked for anonymity and for the name of the firm not to be disclosed as he is not
authorized to speak to the media, said the CFTC's enforcement division has asked the firm that has
received the subpoena to send, by August 23, every document, communication, voice recording,
correspondence and external and internal emails related to the LME since January 2010."

"The subpoena "included more than 30 areas of interest to the CFTC", the source said, and was particularly
focused on "anything that relates to moving metal from one warehouse to another within the same company
... and procedures for loading out," adding it also wanted details of any trading based on prices on the LME,
the CME Group's COMEX commodity exchange, and Platts, a unit of McGraw Hill that publishes price
assessments of physical commodity markets."

Of course the CFTC is about 15 years late! Here are just a few of the letters and articles I've sent to the
CFTC on this matter. Here's one I sent to all the CFTC Commissioners in 2009 addressing the very things
they are "looking into" today...

3) Verify/Certify Physical Metal Backing -- Currently, the regulators are blind to the physical markets and
should NOT take any traders pledge as fact that they have metal to backup any large short position. The CFTC
should actively verify and certify ALL metal that is pledged against COMEX contracts. This certification should
include onsite physical audit of bars, drilling of a random sampling of bars, CFTC certification of purity and on
going oversight of physical inventories.

7) Audit/Verify/Certify "Approved Warehouses" -- The COMEX approved warehouses are owned and controlled
 by most of the very same entities that are accused of rigging the gold and silver markets. The CFTC relies heavily
on the warehouse data in determining the dynamics of the physical markets. The potential for deceptive practices, false reporting, metal alterations and flat out fraud are huge. The CFTC should monitor, verify and certify all metal stored in "Approved Warehouses" to ensure the market has access to correct information.

8) Audit/Verify/Certify Physical Metal Hedges -- Commercial hedging of mining production is the reason the futures

and options markets exist. Without the need for mining companies to hedge the market price of their product the COMEX would have no reason to exist other than being a gambling establishment. If large mining companies, such as Barrick,

wish to hedge their production the CFTC should investigate if the reserves in the ground are verifiable, economic and

have little risk associated with extraction such as the potential for nationalization.

9) Remove ETF Physical Substitution -- The COMEX now allows shares of the ETF's SLV and GLD to be substituted

for physical metal delivery. This is a flat out scam of epic proportions! There are more holes and loopholes in the prospectus of these two ETF's than any other investment vehicle in the world. ETF shares ARE NOT physical metal.

JP Morgan, for example, is the custodian for the silver in SLV but does not own title to that silver nor do they have

any right to justify their gigantic COMEX short using that physical silver. By not speaking up at this obvious

attempt to distort the physical supply of metal the CFTC is exposing itself as either the most incompetent

regulator in the world or the most corrupt.

All of the other items addressed in my original letter to the CFTC should be implemented as well. It is time!

It is key to our cause that physical gold and silver be recognized as something TOTALLY separate from the paper
and electronic derivatives as traded on the COMEX and LBMA (yes the LBMA is a paper shell game!).

To have an opaque and freely traded gold and silver market the CFTC has to PRY OPEN the doors of the
banksters metal warehouses.
