Surprise TV Dinners
Leftovers became a fun meal while we were raising six children. After each meal, I packaged leftovers into "TV dinners" and put them in the freezer. When there were eight meals made up, I warmed them and placed a foil-covered dinner in front of each person, so the meal was a surprise. One exchange was allowed if the surprise was one they really did not like.

Cabela's YA GOTTA READ THIS!! -ITS A MUST!

Now, it's getting personal.    Taxing FISHING Gear with the extremely high "medical device tax"....   I just looked it up.... NO JOKE....  Fishing gear and a whole bunch of other non-medical stuff, such as tires, coal and etc....  What have they done to us???   click on the IRS URL below....

Medical Excise Tax on Retail Receipts

This is  an image of a sales receipt from Cabela's, a popular sporting goods store.

The 2.3% Medical Excise Tax that began on January 1st is supposed to be "hidden" from the consumer, but it's been brought to the public's attention by hunting and fishing store Cabela's who have refused to hide it and are showing it as a separate line item tax on their receipts, the email states.

I did some research and found directly from the IRS 's website information that PROVES this to be true and an accurate portrayal of something hidden in Obamacare that I was not aware of! Now being skeptical of this I went to the IRS website and found this!

Q1. What is the medical device excise tax? A1. Section 4191 of the Internal Revenue Code imposes an excise tax on the sale of certain medical devices by the manufacturer or importer of the device.
Q2. When does the tax go into effect? A2. The tax applies to sales of taxable medical devices after Dec. 31, 2012 .
Q3. How much is the tax? A3. The tax is 2.3 percent of the sale price of the taxable medical device. See Chapter 5 of IRS Publication 510, Excise Taxes, and Notice 2012-77 for additional information on the determination of sale price.

IRS.gov   Chapter Fivehttp://www.irs.gov/publications/p510/ch05.html

So being more curious I clicked on "Chapter 5 of IRS Publication 510."

And what do I find under "MEDICAL DEVICES" under "MANUFACTURERS TAXES"?

The following discussion of manufacturers taxes applies to the tax on:

Sport fishing equipment;

Fishing rods and fishing poles;

Electric outboard motors;

Fishing tackle boxes;

Bows, quivers, broadheads, and points;

Arrow shafts;

Coal;

Taxable tires;

Gas guzzler automobiles; and

Vaccines.

I think we have definitely been fooled, if we believe that the Affordable Care Act is all about health care. It truly does appear to be nothing more than a bill laden with a whole lot of taxes that we the people have yet to be aware of.

Please pass this on. I am still incredulous that this can go on. Where is our press ?
I guess it's just like Nancy Pelosi said. "We have to pass it to see what is in it ."
What is next? What else is there we do not know about?

Starvation IS MANDATORY By City!

Sheriffs and Larry Klayman,

Donating your money to anyone WITHOUT PAYING A FEE to the Government will NOT BE ALLOWED!!!
Therefore, giving money to your friend that just had his home foreclosed on and is homeless makes you in Violation of this law.
You get 100 years in prison for giving food to the helpless!
So if there are ANY Reported Funds in any Budget that ANY Government entity gives to provide for food, like Welfare, is in VIOLATION of this LAW!

Gandhi famously noted that:

    The greatness of a society and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals.

I would agree with that, as well as the obvious observation that a society’s greatness can also be judged by how it treats its most vulnerable members. This isn’t to romanticize homelessness or to condemn it. It is merely to note that the homeless are fellow human beings going through their own struggles and difficulties. You may not want to provide them food, but some people do, and there should never be an infringement upon such a basic human right as sharing food with someone who needs it.

Civil rights are often lost in societies by politicians scapegoating unpopular minorities. This happened with jews, gypsies, etc in Nazi Germany and we must be very careful the same does not happen here. One human being should be able to voluntarily give food to another in all cases, without exception. The concept of a permit needed that costs $120 per week is fascist, anti-human and downright evil.

From the Examiner:

    Feeding the homeless is about to get harder as a new policy is set to begin this Saturday, Feb. 15, in Columbia, SC. Charities and non-profits well be required to pay a fee and obtain a permit 15 days in advance in order to feed the homeless in parks.

    One impacted charity that was interviewed by theFree Times, Food Not Bombs, has been serving food to the homeless in Finlay Park every Sunday for 12 years. The group’s organizer, Judith Turnipseed, noted that the group has an impeccable track record and always tidies up after the meal. But with the new crackdown, Food Not Bombs will have to pay at least $120 per week for the right to feed the homeless.

    Since the Columbia City Council approved its exile plan in August, the city has been trying to herd its homeless people to a shelter on the outskirts of town and keep them away from downtown. If charities continue to provide food in downtown parks, the thinking goes, it will allow homeless people to continue to live downtown, rather than being forced to leave.

Remember the famous warning:

    First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Socialist.

    Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Jew.

    Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me.

    - Martin Niemöller (1892–1984)

This is how it always starts. It reminds me of the fact that debtors’ prisons are making a huge comeback in the U.S. It’s always easiest to pick on the weakest members of society, which is why we shouldn’t.

The worst dietary advice ever
Hi John
I was recently visiting my Mom in the nursing home where she lives and the home’s dietitian came into the room to speak with my Mom’s roommate (Jesse).
By the way, Jesse is an overweight diabetic who is on dialysis and lives on junky snack foods—Cheeetos, Doritos, Fritos, cookies, saltine crackers, you-name-it.
Of course, my ears were tuned in sharply to see what the dietitian was going to say about Jesse’s atrocious eating habits—I was waiting for her to be horrified.
Well, I hate to say it but I ended up being the one that was horrified.
First off, all the dietitian said about the junk food was for Jesse to lay off the cookies because they had too much sugar.
What about the chips and crackers which turn to pure sugar in Jesse’s diabetic, overweight body once they’re digested?
Then Jesse commented that she didn’t like meat and vegetables, so the dietitian said she could have pasta for her dinners instead.
MORE sugar!  Why don’t you just wheel the dialysis machine in here right now and leave it running 24/7?
Then her last bit of advice was really the icing on the cake—the dietitian said that Jesse should make sure to use Equal® in her coffee and tea instead of sugar.
Well, my friend, all I can say is that dietitian would have been doing Jesse more of a favor if she told her to drink turpentine.
Here’s why I say that:
The creation of a chemical poison
Aspartame (the artificial sweetener sold under the brand name NutraSweet which is the primary ingredient in Equal® sweetener) was first synthesized in a lab back in 1965 by a chemist doing research for anti-ulcer drugs.  He accidentally tasted the substance after licking his finger to pick up a paper and quickly realized it was incredibly sweet.
Aspartame is created by combining the amino acids (protein building blocks) aspartic acid and phenylalanine.
This has largely served as the basis for the manufacturer’s contention that it is allegedly “safe” and naturally derived—both of which are a crock.
First of all, the phenylalanine has been synthetically modified to bond with methyl (which is a derivative of methane—the main ingredient in natural gas)—this provides most of the sweetness. But the chemical bond between the phenylalanine and the methyl is very weak, which makes it easy for the methyl group to break away and form methanol (aka wood alcohol).
Methanol is a colorless, flammable liquid which is used as the basis for such products as antifreeze, fuel and solvents.
Oh, and coffee sweetener too.
This problem is compounded by the fact that we humans are not biologically equipped to break down and metabolize methanol into its harmless derivative formic acid.
So instead, it can travel through your blood vessels and cause a variety of symptoms including but not limited to:
  • Headaches
  • Ear buzzing
  • Dizziness; vertigo
  • Nausea
  • GI problems
  • Weakness
  • Memory lapses
  • Numbness
  • Shooting pains in the extremities
  • Behavioral disturbances
  • Neuritis (nerve pain)
  • Vision problems including blurred vision, retinal damage and even blindness
Plus the methanol can get into your brain and be converted to formaldehyde—which is used primarily in the textile industry to make fabrics crease-resistant, in the automobile industry to make transmissions, car doors and brakes, and by your local mortician as an embalming fluid.
And by the way, it’s also extremely damaging to your brain and can also cause cancer, retinal damage and birth defects.
The tip of the iceberg
Since its initial approval by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a food ingredient in 1981, aspartame has been the subject of over 10,000 complaints and over 91 symptoms documented that are related to its consumption.
Here are just some examples of the studies showing its dangers:
  • One recent study showed that aspartame induced cancers of the liver and lung in male mice, and it was also carcinogenic (cancer causing) in male and female rats.
  • A recent comprehensive study showed that drinking just ONE 12 oz. diet soda a day increases your risk of leukemia by an alarming 42%!  Plus the study also showed a 102% higher risk of multiple myeloma and 31% increased risk of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in men!
  • Numerous studies have linked aspartame to brain damage as well as premature delivery in pregnant women.
  • Recent research has also shown that aspartame worsens insulin sensitivity to a greater degree than sugar, making it a dangerous health threat to diabetics who think they are doing a good thing by using aspartame instead of sugar.
And its “selling point” that it’s great for dieters because it has zero calories is even busted…because even though your body’s taking in zero calories, your brain is not fooled.
You see, when you eat normal foods your brain releases the appetite-regulating hormone leptin, which eventually clues your brain in that you are full once enough calories and nutrients have been taken in.
But when you eat aspartame, your brain is “teased” by the sweet taste and expects calories to follow.  Since it never receives calories (or nutrients for that matter) this causes continuous feelings of hunger and makes it very likely that you will overeat.
Sorry, but that doesn’t sound like a good diet plan to me.
What to do now?
There is plenty you can do to help keep the deadly poison of aspartame FAR away from you.
You can try using organic raw honey, organic cane sugar or organic real maple syrup for sweeteners.  If you’re concerned about sugar intake you can use (minimally processed) stevia for a calorie-free sweetener instead of Equal®.
Drink water instead of soda or sports drinks.  Soda is THE single largest source of aspartame consumption in the world.
Keep it real
The less that you rely on processed foods in general, the better your chances of avoiding unsafe ingredients like aspartame and the better for your health overall!
Instead, feed your body REAL foods and you won't have to worry about potential poisons causing disease.
If you need help with that, just follow the Great Taste No Pain system.
- http://www.greattastenopain.com/great.asp
The GTNP manuals will teach you how to prepare delicious meals without harmful ingredients like aspartame.
When you eat foods made from real ingredients, you can completely lose your taste for the processed stuff and begin to LOVE the flavors and sweetness that occur naturally in foods.
Plus your body will benefit from the nutrients it gets from real foods, and so will your waistline
Pamper your flora too!
A healthy intestinal flora balance is crucial for encouraging efficient digestion, protection again viruses and infections and even fighting deadly diseases.
Unfortunately, most people who eat a lot of processed foods have the exact OPPOSITE (more harmful vs. helpful) of what they should have.
Be honest.  If you've been a fan of packaged foods and/or diet or regular soda for a while, chances are excellent your intestinal army is not as strong as it should be.
And your health can suffer greatly as a result.
Super Shield probiotic formula and its 13 strains of friendly flora can help restore your balance to where it should be.
- http://www.bluerockholistics.com/product/pross.asp
Super Shield contains potent, effective strains of both the Bifidobacterium species (which live in the colon) and Lactobacillus species (that reside in your small intestine), which is what is recommended by many digestive health experts to help restore proper flora balance.
Speak up!
Last but not least, if you feel you have suffered side effects from aspartame, I encourage you to report your experience to the FDA (if you’re in the US or its territories).  Just go to their website and locate the number for your state and contact them:
http://www.fda.gov/Safety/ReportaProblem/ConsumerComplaintCoordinators/default.htm
To your health,
Sherry Brescia

PSMandy took matters into her own hands!

Sherry,
I have been wanting to e-mail you to express my never ending gratitude.
I am 28 years old and have had issues with heartburn/acid reflux for about 3 years. I always had a sensitive stomach as a child, but it came to head about 3 years ago.
This year, it got so bad I couldn't even drink water without having major problems. I went to doctor after doctor and had another scope test only to be told, I have acid reflux and a hiatal hernia.
I tried every single prescription drug out there and every single one either didn't help, helped a little bit OR gave me the worst stomach pains.
When I mentioned the stomach pains to my doctor, I was told "that is a side effect that some people get."
So, about 3 months ago, I took matters into my own hands and looked online for natural cures. I found your Great Taste No Pain plan and at first was skeptical, I won't lie.
But I followed your plan to a "T" and I was amazed by day 2 how well I was feeling already. No, gas, heartburn, acid reflux. So, I stuck with it. I was shocked and blown away at how well I was feeling after just a few days.
I have stuck with it about 3 months now and I am feeling great! I love your recipes, and love eating healthier knowing I am doing what I can to keep my body healthy. I never realized just by what you eat effects everything in your body!
My husband is so grateful to you as well because he no longer sees me in pain and loves eating healthy with me too! I even lost weight and wasn't even heavy to begin with, but getting rid of those extra pounds is an added bonus!
I was in such bad shape, I would come home every night and cry, my co-workers saw how depressed I was becoming, and I just didn't know what to do. You trust your doctor and believe that they are doing what they can to cure you, but I was losing hope. I figured that this is how I had to live.
I never knew eating certain combinations did so much harm. I was at a point of barely eating anything, but came to find out from you that I was eating all of the wrong combinations, not even knowing it.
I have told everyone I can about your program and I plan to live by it forever!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for taking the time to teach people about your program. It truly has saved my life. That money to buy your program is the best money I have ever spent!
Forever grateful,
Mandy
