NEW YORK – In what appears to be new momentum propelling a developing global stock-market selloff, the Dow closed Friday down nearly 290 points at 16,384.79. Investors apparently were worried that the Federal Reserve’s unwillingness to raise interest rates signals a weakness in the global economy. The Federal Open Market Committee on Thursday became the 55th consecutive FOMC meeting in which the Fed was unwilling to risk even a modest 25 basis point (0.25 percent) increase in its key interest rate, the Federal Funds rate.

The fear on Wall Street was intensified as the market learned, as WND reported Thursday, that for the first time ever, one member of the FOMC suggested the U.S. needs to move to negative interest rates, at least until the end of 2016, to achieve full employment and hold inflation at the 2 percent target.
With negative interest rates, financial institutions would start charging customers a fee to keep money on deposit instead of paying them interest.
Investors also worried that the central banks around the world, including the Federal Reserve, may have run out of monetary tools with which to stimulate the economy. Prior to the FOMC meeting, the conventional wisdom on Wall Street was that a Federal Reserve decision to increase interest rates would cause the stock market to move sharply downward. But the Dow suffered a triple-digit loss on Friday, because the Federal Reserve failed to increase interest rates.

If the Dow continues correcting downward, it appears the Fed’s only remaining tool is to pursue the untried approach of negative interest rates.
Fed caught in ‘liquidity trap’
The widely read financial blog ZeroHedge.com worried that the Fed is now caught in a liquidity trap. The phenomenon of Keynesian economics occurs which the injections of cash into the private banking system by the central bank fails to stimulate economic growth, precisely because interest rates have been held at or near zero for so long that pumping more money into the financial system fails to stimulate the economy.
After assuming the chairmanship of the Federal Reserve Jan. 6, 2014, Janet Yellen ended the policy of Quantitative Easing in which the Fed purchased Treasury debt in an effort to stimulate the economy by keeping interest rates at or near zero.
While Yellen has successfully tapered QE down to zero, the current dilemma is whether the Fed can now “pivot” the strategy into a more normal cycle by allowing interest rates to rise above zero. Former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan employed that tactic after 9/11, lowering interest rates to 1.25 percent by the end of 2002.
Greenspan’s return to increasing rates worked.
On Oct. 9, 2002, the Dow hit a low of 7,286.27. Then, on Oct. 15, 2002, the Dow closed above 8,000, at 8,255.68. From there, it climbed steadily for the next five years, reaching an all time high of 14,164.53, on Oct. 9, 2007, allowing Greenspan to retire as a hero.
Global economic downturn
The question plaguing Wall Street pundits now is whether a liquidity trap has placed Yellen in a position in which pivoting to higher interest rates may not work, as evidenced Friday when the Dow suffered a three-digit loss after the Fed decided not to raise rates.
“When China transitioned to a new currency regime last month, what should have been immediately apparent to everyone, was that the Fed was, from there on out, cornered,” ZeroHedge.com noted. “Boxed in. Trapped.”
The underlying reality the Fed appears unable to escape is that China’s decision Aug. 11 to devalue the yuan by 3 percent signaled to investors worldwide that the global economy could no longer depend on the “miracle of China’s economic growth.”
If the economic slowdown in China spreads to the European Union and the United States, central banks around the world, including the Federal Reserve, may face a historic stock market meltdown, regardless if rates are increased or held at zero.
With the Dow closing Friday at under 16,400, it has now lost nearly 2,000 points since it peaked at 18,312.39 on May 19.

President Obama, in a historic first for the Pentagon, has chosen to nominate Eric Fanning to lead the Army, a move that would make him the first openly gay civilian secretary of one of the military services.
Fanning, 47, has been a specialist on national security issues for more than two decades and has played a key role overseeing some of the Pentagon’s biggest shipbuilding and fighter jet programs. Now he will oversee an Army that has been battered by the longest stretch of continuous combat in U.S. history and is facing potentially severe budget cuts. It’s also an Army that after a long stretch of patrolling Iraqi and Afghan villages is searching for its postwar role in protecting the nation.
Fanning’s nomination, which must go to the Senate for confirmation, reflects a major shift for the Pentagon, which only four years ago prevented openly gay troops from serving in the military. The policy didn’t extend to civilian leaders, such as Fanning.
His long tenure in the Pentagon and his breadth of experience in shepherding some of the department’s most complex and sensitive weapons programs was a key factor in his nomination for the Army’s top job, administration officials said.

I’ve received a bit of stick lately because I dared to question Religion & the Holocaust. To this I say – GOOD! You guys inspire me far more than any compliment can. Gratifying as compliments are, they often serve to pile on fat & massage the ego. I’m lucky – I’m not into that shit! Criticism simply spurs me on to put pen to paper with added zest & little more relish. This piece is about how some become smart while others have the brains of a rocking horse. There are 3 ways we obtain the furniture that enters our brains. Two are tried & trusted methods of understanding the truth. The 3rd is an abomination.



1). OBSERVATION – sadly as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle once wrote in one of his superb Sherlock Holmes novels – too many see but fail to register what they observe!
2). EXPERIMENTATION & STUDY – this incorporates what we’re taught or what we choose to learn – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Music, Art, Languages & Philosophy. These subjects hold true. That’s not to say we cannot learn things which later are proved to be wrong. This is the beauty of science – it’s parameters extend to the unknown & importantly any new discovery, once fully tested & understood, is always unanimously embraced.
Isaac Newton theory of Gravity propelled him to the status as the greatest scientist ever. He held this honor for 200 years until a patent clerk formulated a theory in 1916 which stated Newton’s theory of gravity was not quite right! Back then, the mere notion Newton had erred hardly sat well with the scientific community. Bad enough but some of the predictions of General Relativity actually confounded beliefs which were universally accepted. At first no one believed it! Then slowly but surely physicists & scientists began to realize Albert Einstein was right! General Relativity would replace Newton’s intellectual masterpiece! It is now widely regarded as the single greatest intellectual achievement!



3). Then there’s WHAT WE’RE TOLD – so sad so many acquire their knowledge this way! Much of what we’re told regarding History & Politics hardly encompasses the whole truth & often furnishes our minds with lies. Worse still, each day we’re bombarded with a concoction of baloney courtesy of the TV, radio, newspapers & magazines. For the vast majority, if squeaky clean newsreaders say how it is, that’s good enough! Don’t though for minute think this method of systematically brainwashing the public is a result of technological strides mankind has made in the last 150 years. Oh no. This trick was learned 1000’s of years ago!
Mankind may have surged to dominate its surroundings but its imagination conspired to concoct an entity that would become an indelible stain throughout history – Religion! From the very beginning of the very earliest civilizations – Kings, Emperors & the wealthy naturally cared first & foremost about maintaining their status. The threat of rebellion always loomed large, what with the impoverished masses. The option of feeding them was a costly one, so what better way was there than to instill the masses with a belief that if they prayed to their God, they’d be looked after, if not in this life, definitely the next one! It may sound simplistic, even daft but the plain truth is for 1000’s of years minds were corrupted for the sole purpose of control.




Why else is our history so? Soon woe betide if you were a non-believer. For the vast majority, Religion became the be all & end all. Goodness knows how many were tortured & then burnt at the stake just because they chose to think! Early civilizations resorted to sacrificing their animals or even their children, perish the thought, in the forlorn hope of satisfying their God. In the Middle ages one word in the wrong ear & suddenly you could be branded a heretic. Even geniuses like Galileo & Darwin were fearful of publishing their findings! This madness has continued to this day. Religion is the one domain void of evidence yet the one domain above reproach!
Small wonder the modern day power-brokers understood the necessity of maintaining this mental stranglehold over the populace. They have indeed fine-tuned this brainwashing process to such an extent, few have any idea they’ve become the perfect product, the proverbial puppet on a string, played at will. It’s not so much that everything the corporate media says is believed. It’s more the case we refuse to question or analyze what we’re told. Most crucially, scant few of us realize the real news is what we’re not told!

As more and more people have become aware of the spyware nature of Windows 10, many have decided not to take Microsoft up on their "free upgrade." People all over the world decided to either switch to some other operating system (such as Linux) or just stay with Windows 7, 8, or 8.1. Now Microsoft admits that it is forcing the update to those who are using those previous versions of Windows, even if they have declined the "upgrade."

Last week several tech news websites reported that users are getting the updates as part of the "automatic updates" to Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, even though many of these users declined the offer to download and install Windows 10. As arstechnica.com reported:

You might be in the process of acquiring Windows 10 — whether you want the free upgrade or not. Microsoft has confirmed that it is "helping upgradable devices get ready for Windows 10 by downloading the files they need" in the event that owners decide to migrate to the new OS, even if they have heretofore passed up on "reserving" their free upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.

 

As The New American reported previously, "Many of the new features and settings of Windows 10 have been deemed spyware by computer security experts." In fact, according to the Microsoft Services Agreement and its accompanying documents — to which one must agree in order to use any Microsoft products or services — the software giant of Redmond, Washington, is allowed unhindered access to view, save, and share any data stored on or accessed using any computer running Microsoft Windows. As we wrote in that article:

To install the Windows 10 upgrade, users must agree to the Microsoft Services Agreement and its accompanying documents. Few will ever read the terms of these documents since they span some 40,000 words and would run 110 pages if printed. As is to be expected, most of the terms are written in legalese and are not overly easy to understand. There are some parts of the terms that users need to be aware of, though, because agreeing to them grants Microsoft the right to read, save, and share anything stored on or accessed using any computer running Microsoft Windows as well as any computer using Microsoft products or services.

When many users declined the upgrade, Microsoft changed the way it issues updates to Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. Initially, the company stopped providing anything that resembled adequate release notes to explain to users what the update is or what it does. Then, Microsoft began rolling out updates that bring Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 into line with the "spyware" elements of Windows 10. As we reported:

Because Microsoft's Services Agreement and Privacy Policy apply to all products and services offered by Microsoft, it looks as though the company is expanding its spying to include Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. According to hakspek.com, "new updates that are being deployed to all Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 machines will turn their computers into a big piece of spyware, just like" Windows 10. 

As the article explains:

The updates in question are KB3075249 and KB3080149. If installed, these updates are known to report your data back to Microsoft servers, without user interaction. KB3075249 Microsoft Update adds telemetry points to "consent.exe" in Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, allowing for remote monitoring of everything that happens within the operating system. KB3080149 ensures that all "down-level devices" receive the same updates and treatment as Windows 10 boxes get.

So, now that Microsoft has convinced some 50 million users to "update" to Windows 10 (with more than 14 million of them doing it in only the first 24 hours the download was available), it seems to have its sights set on those who have heeded the warnings about Windows 10 being spyware. By sending these Windows updates — many of which will be downloaded and installed by default — Microsoft is expanding its spyware empire.

Since then, Microsoft has taken the unheard of approach of sending the Windows 10 installer files to any computer running Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 that has automatic updates enabled. It appears that even the scores of millions of users who have "upgraded" to Windows 10 (at the expense of their liberty and privacy) are not enough for Gates and company. Even with the ability to turn on many of Windows 10's spyware features in Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, the company wants more. Windows 10 is better able to accomplish the data-mining Microsoft wants because, as we previously reported:

When Microsoft announced the "free" upgrade, many were left wondering why the Redmond giant would give away licenses to use the new operating system. Now it appears that the reason is simple: greater data-mining opportunities. Windows operating systems have long included security weaknesses that leave users vulnerable to spying and data-mining from others. What is different with the newest iteration of Windows is that Microsoft is directly involved in that spying and data-mining and has built the entire operating system in such a way as to allow it.

Besides the obvious issues involved in forcing an update to computer users who don't want it, there is the fact that the files involved take up some 6GB of storage. Downloading such files can cause serious problems for users who don't have unlimited Internet access. Several users have reported going over their monthly limits because they were not even aware of the downloads. Others have complained that the files slowed down their Internet connections.

Microsoft has set this up in such a way that the downloaded files are hidden from easy view. Deleting them requires a little more than basic computer skills, but it can be done. The real issue, however, is the fact that the whole Windows 10 fiasco shows that Microsoft is not acting in a way that is worthy of trust. Users can remove the files, refuse to update to Windows 10, delete questionable updates that come in to their Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 machines, and hope that Microsoft doesn't already have another plan in action to force spyware back onto their machines, but is it worth it?

This writer has suggested what he feels is a better solution: switch to an operating system that respects your liberty and privacy. Many are finding Linux to be the best choice. As we previously reported about the difference between Microsoft and Linux:

By way of comparison, users who install any of the various distributions of the Linux operating system do not consent to any such agreements. In fact, the closest thing in Linux to any of this is a feature in Ubuntu that allows users to search Amazon from their desktop screen. That feature is easily disabled by clicking a single button.

Maybe users of Windows 7 and 8 who are concerned about privacy and liberty should consider declining Microsoft's offer for a free upgrade and simply "upgrade" to Linux.

Considering the lengths (and depths) to which Microsoft is willing to go to force its spyware on users, migrating to an operating system that is more trustworthy may not be merely optional anymore. It's starting to look like a necessity.

China has one of the most vaccination compliant populations in the world. In fact, measles vaccine is mandatory. So why have they had over 700 measles outbreaks from 2009 and 2012 alone? The obvious answer is the the measles vaccines are simply NOT effective. 

A recent study published in PLoS titled, “Difficulties in eliminating measles and controlling rubella and mumps: a cross-sectional study of a first measles and rubella vaccination and a second measles, mumps, and rubella vaccination,” has brought to light the glaring ineffectiveness of two measles vaccines (measles–rubella (MR) or measles–mumps–rubella (MMR) ) in fulfilling their widely claimed promise of preventing outbreaks in highly vaccine compliant populations.

According to the study,

 “The reported coverage of the measles-rubella (MR) or measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine is greater than 99.0% in Zhejiang province. However, the incidence of measles, mumps, and rubella remains high.” [emphasis added]

China’s Great Mandatory Vaccine Experiment FAILURE

Zhejiang is an eastern coastal province of the People’s Republic of China and home to 55 million inhabitants. All children there receive a compulsory first dose of MR at 8 months and another dose of the MMR vaccine at 18–24 months.

In the new study researchers analyzed a subset of 1,015 Zehjiang inhabitants and found that despite the recent measles outbreaks 93.6% of them were seropositive for measles antibodies, meaning they had presumably vaccine-induced protective antibodies against measles in their blood serum — more than is required to obtain so-called ‘herd immunity’ threshold of 88%–92%, which is often claimed to be the solution to extinguishing infectious diseases altogether.[2] And yet despite this theoretical ‘protection,’ eight-seven (8.6%) of the subjects developed measles anyway.

Another recent study, published in the highly authorative Bulletin of the World Health Organization, looked at recent measles occurrences throughout China and found that there were 707 measles outbreaks in the country recorded between 2009 and 2012, with a steep trend upwards in 2013: “The number of measles cases reported in the first 10 months of 2013 – 26443 – was three times the number reported in the whole of 2012.” This is all the more odd considering that since 2009 “…the first dose of measles-virus-containing vaccine has reached more than 90% of the target population.” One would expect with increasing measles vaccine uptake there would result in a decrease in measles incidence.

Clearly the vaccines aren’t as effective as claimed, nor is the concept of herd immunity — which is debunked and decimated here and here — supported unequivocally by the epidemiological evidence.

The failure of vaccine-induced antibody titers to protect against ‘vaccine preventable disease’ may make more sense when you consider the antibody-based theory of vaccine efficacy – a fundamental tenet of vaccinology/immunology – was recently called into question: Study Calls Into Question Primary Justification for Vaccines.  Injecting aluminum and other highly immunotoxic adjuvants into the body in order to stimulate elevated antibody titers does not in and of itself guarantee their affinity for the antigen they are supposed to be protecting you against. To the contrary, It is much like saying you have improved the overall health of the beehive by kicking it with your boot to stir its angry residents and getting them to sting (and hence die) the closest thing around them.  We highly suggest you obtain a copy of Tetyana Obukhanych’s layperson oriented book Vaccine Illusion (she is  a Ph.D. in immunology from Rockefeller University, New York, NY) to learn the almost universally repressed truth about the dangers and ineffectiveness of vaccines.

The  WHO’s Goal of Eradicating Measles in China with Mandatory Vaccines Has Failed

In 2005, the Regional Committee of WHO Western Pacific Region established 2012 as the target date for the complete regional elimination of measles, and the Chinese Ministry of Health initiated mandatory measles vaccination to accomplish this. A year later, in 2006, China set a goal of accelerating the progress of eliminating measles by 2012, striving to keep measles incidence below 0.1 per 100,000, and then developed a series of vaccination strategies to execute these goals.

And yet, despite the full and near universal implementation of multi-dose vaccines, measles, mumps and rubella outbreaks continued to afflict those receiving them:

“Measles outbreaks continued in 2008, with 12782 cases reported, which translated to 252.61 per million of the population. From 2009 to 2011, the incidence of measles remained high at 3.14–17.2 per million of the population. Similarly, the incidence of mumps increased from 394.32 to 558.26 per million of the population in 2007 and 2008, respectively. Finally, the reported cases of rubella increased from 3284 to 4284 in 2007 and 2011, respectively, representing a 30.45% increase or an increase from 65.94 to 78.71 per million of the population. Therefore, the elimination of measles and control of mumps and rubella are urgent public health priorities in local regions.”[1]

As we have explored in a previous article, “Measles: A Rash of Misinformation,” the measles vaccine is not nearly as safe and effective as is widely believed. Measles outbreaks have consistently occurred in highly immunization complaint populations. Sadly, the latest study concludes with the recommendation that the MMR vaccine should be increased to two doses with the first dose at 8 months and the second dose at 18–24 months. They further suggest, that in addition to another MMR vaccine, “An MR vaccination speed-up campaign may be necessary for elder adolescents and young adults, particularly young females.” As has been the historical response pattern of the medical establishment’s pro-vaccine agenda when facing the evidence of their failed vaccine campaigns, instead of acknowledging the folly of relying exclusively on a vaccine-centric view of immunity (what about nutrition, vitamin D, improved sanitation and hygiene?) they default counter-intuitively to increasing the number of vaccines given, adding 1 or 2 ‘boosters’ when the vaccines clearly are not working. [Take a look at other failed vaccine campaigns here, often followed by the same dead-end recommendations.] This intellectually dishonest and callous approach, in fact, is a primary driver for the expansion of already dangerously high number of vaccines that are presently populating the CDC’s arguably insane immunization schedule — a schedule with the highest number of vaccines in the world, and which we are supposed to believe has nothing to do with the exponentially increasing autism rate (1 in 5,000 in 1975; 1 in 65 today) in our country, or its shameful if not outrageous 33th-worst infant mortality rate in the developed world.

Another highly concerning problem with the new study is its conspiculous lack of mention of the known unintended, adverse effects of vaccination. In fact, earlier this year we reported on another Chinese vaccine study that found that “42% of Drug Reactions Are Vaccine Related, groundbreaking Chinese Study Finds.”

And of course, we cannot leave out mention of what is likely the greatest medical cover-up of our time: the senior vaccine scientist William Thompson at the CDC blows the whistle on how his agency covered up the autism/vaccine link for over a decade (and likely much more malfeasance still to be uncovered), and which is still ongoing, as no mainstream media group has yet to cover the facts of the story in a serious or honest manner.  How many of these Chinese infants and children will undergo neurodevelopmental regression or suffer other neurological insults as a result of using the same MMR vaccine the CDC identified as doing harm to African-American boys? We may never know, but we can be certain that they are not immune to the well-documented dangers.

Given the gravity of potential harms associated with routine vaccines, juxtaposed to the perhaps far lesser risk associated with contracting what were once considered normal, immune system building natural infections (measles), the issue here is really about balancing the pro’s versus the con’s, with the medical literature itself guiding parents decisions, who have the legal right and responsibility to choose what medical interventions their children should succumb to.
