What I Learn from a Leaf

When I first came across Thich Nhat Hanh’s writings on “Learning from leaves” I just knew that I needed to create a video to it with others. As I read his communion with this little autumn leaf I began to see the similarites in the cycle of life in nature and humanity.

When we were smaller and younger we play the role of a child to our parents and as we grow older so do our parents, and that’s when we sometimes play the role of a mother to our parents who may need our nurturing and care in their old age. And what I admire most about the little leaf as it was dying was its celebration of life, it was ready and happy to be of service yet again even in death for the nourishment of the tree. This is what, I feel, being of service is about. And we as humans are also encouraged to celbrate life no matter where we are, because it is only a transition to a better and brighter future. And, that everything happens for a reason.

I remember not too long ago when I was communing with a hamster who had passed on. The body of the ha,ster was buried in the neighbourhood garden of his owner’s home. The following day the owner, a friend of mine, discovered that an empty hole had replaced the graveyard of her beloved hamster. A stray dog perhaps had dug up the body. She was saddened and wanted me to connect with her dead hamster to say “sorry for not digging deeper to bury him.” Upon connecting with the hamster, the hamster was delighted to share with me that he was happy that his body was food for a hungry animal. I was quiet for a moment and thanked him for reminding me that even in death we can be in service to others, and in unexpected ways. This message brought a healing immediately to my friend and it opened her heart to love and compassion even more.

When we passed on, a part of our energy remains with the loved ones we left behind. We become their guides. This is how the system works.

I hope you too receive something from watching this movie and the profound message from Thich Nhat Hanh. The system in nature is about cooperation. This is something that humanity is learning, too. It is with the energy of cooperation that we can ‘put things together’ rather than tearing things apart which is the reason for the wars on this planet. I feel a strong change coming in 2013. The energies of compassion, cooperation and working together for a better life for everyone is the name of the game in the coming year.

There is a song written by John Denver that goes “Come dance with the west wind and touch all the mountain tops. Sail o’er the canyons and up to the stars. Reach for the heavens and hope for the future and all that we can be is not what we are.” The energy for your month of December 2012 is much like this. The great Mystery of expanded Love has merged within the physical plane of Gaia (the being that is planet earth). From this point forward no one will be untouched by the magnetism and willpower of unity consciousness.
It is the destiny of humanity to meet, greet and partner consciously with the deep wisdom of the Heart of all Universal Creation and to heal the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, astral, etheric and karmic wounds created over the past 14,000 years. None of us can possibly anticipate what each new day will bring. What a great turning point in history! The grace in the whole experience is that you can rest assured this epochal period of change was always scheduled to happen, and whether you can acknowledge it or not, deep in your intuitive gut you’ve been anticipating this challenging and interesting period of history.
This week I want you to remind yourself that this entire dynamism is now in full operation and its role and purpose, its promise and commitment as it were, is to reunite the Soul, body, and personality. Yes, the amnesia is lifting. The remembrance is beginning. The old framework based in fear and limitation is dying. The new paradigms are being revealed. This transformation is another push towards merging your immortal spiritual essence with a human existence. You must now be in harmony with the Universe, in harmony with Yourself, and in harmony with all things. This is how Unity gets anchored and the abundant feeling of being connected to a loving and compassionate Universe expands and grows.
“Ask and it shall be given” is now made clear to you as you seek clarification, direction, guidance and Truth. You can trust that you will be shown what must be forgiven, what must be let go, what must be born out of this knowledge, wisdom and truth. As you journey into your conscious co-creative role, the responsibility – the ability to re-spond or ponder the consequences of actions and choices – shall vividly be seen, clearly perceived and acknowledged as it is witnessed from the heart of your Soul.
Prayers during this celestial month of peace for those in leadership positions, positions of power, or decision-making positions that affect the world and its population are needed to act in the highest and best interest of all. A few moments of your focused intending will assist them in acting from a place of greater vision, awareness and love.
One method I suggest to my students for the “new vision” energies to be received in the smoothest and easiest manner is the three-fold gratitude/releasing process. This is done by connecting with the people, beings, spirits, energies and entities in your world that have been maintaining the old framework, thanking them for the good work they have done and releasing those who are ready to move on to their next level of expression allowing them to leave by giving them permission.
The second step in the process is thanking those people, beings, spirits, energies and entities that have chosen to remain. Bless them for maintaining the framework of transition and invite them to bring in our next highest paradigm of expression. The third part of the process is to invite and invoke the new people, beings, spirits, energies and entities to enter into your world, thanking them for the work they are about to do in assisting in the implementation of new visions for the earth and the global community.
Don’t forget we are witnessing the closure of the era of separation of powers and domination by force and inequality of cultures. It’s like this – those of us who have aligned ourselves even slightly to the perspective of holism as a personal code of health, that code assumes that each organ in the body, while remaining an individual organ, is no longer sovereign. It is, instead, subject to a grander holistic body politic whereby the whole must be served in order for the whole body to thrive. Cosmic law, or mystical law, teaches that “what is in one is in the whole.”
This means that every person who has absorbed that mystical law as a health code has also absorbed that cosmic law as a prelude to the transformation of the global body politic. It can’t be otherwise because, “What is in ONE is indeed in the whole.” Therefore, through every action we as individuals have taken to further our personal health as a “whole being” we have also inadvertently supported the transformation of the global village into a whole body politic at the energy level.
To put this in yet a more mystical context, if you think of yourself as a “living prayer,” which in essence you are, then all your intentions and thoughts to become a whole and healthy person are consumed by the collective soul as well as your individual soul. These intentions are the fuel that, in turn, converts into physical events and actions in the greater arena of life. This month is the perfect time to begin living this concept for the One of us.
Sound healers can also be of assistance this week to harmonize, release and make whole that which is now in metamorphosis and transformation. The toning vibrations of the healers will assist an expansion portal that is delivering energies of rebirth to each soul beginning with the 12/12/12 portal. Take advantage of this golden opportunity by inviting these Universal Heart energies to purify your remembrance of who you are and why you are here.
Let the fears of the ancient and recent past fall away. Let yourself be made whole again. Let yourself re-member and bring together all parts of your Soul and Psyche. Allow yourself to experience the Oneness so that the pain and fear of separation from the One never returns. The turning of the tides is done from above and from within. It is up to you to work with the power of your internal forces, to scaffold your inner consciousness and build a soul with stamina, so what when fear and chaos surrounds you, you can see through it rather than be consumed by it.
From the Dec. 12th until Dec. 21st the grand cosmic portal remains open and strengthens. While vitality and energy will be more abundant, so are old patterns, concepts and ways of being that are limiting you. Be extra sensitive to what is being brought up for healing for this and other lifetimes to enable a true reunion with your Soul essence. This unpredictable (depending on your point of perception) boost of internal ok-ness is going to illuminate the newest stunning light codes of Love within your field. So no matter if it shakes out to be a good week or bad – in the end, it’s all Good.
The end result is that as each mystical resource of the Goddess is once again made abundant you will be shown the varied ways in which you can actively cooperatively participate in your glorious reformation of the Newest Golden Age. The ancient memories you possess of the lushness of the Garden of Eden, the intensity of flow, color and beauty of Lemuria, the juiciness, magic and vibrational sounds of Mu, the luxury, repose and opportunity for intellectual pursuit of Atlantis may now be merged into the best of all worlds. We are the God Particles alleviating a rampant state of separation upon planet Earth.

Copper restricts the spread of global antibiotic-resistant infections

New research from the University of Southampton has shown that copper can prevent horizontal transmission of genes, which has contributed to the increasing number of antibiotic-resistant infections worldwide.

Horizontal gene transfer (HGT) in bacteria is largely responsible for the development of antibiotic-resistance, which has led to an increasing number of difficult-to-treat healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs).

The newly-published paper, which appears in the journal mBio, shows that while HGT can take place in the environment, on frequently-touched surfaces, such as door handles, trolleys and tables, which are made from stainless steel - copper prevents this process from occurring and rapidly kills bacteria on contact.

Lead author Professor Bill Keevil, Chair in Environmental Healthcare at the University of Southampton, explains: "Whilst studies have focussed on HGT in vivo (an experiment that is done in the body of a living organism), this work investigates whether the ability of pathogens to persist in the environment, particularly on touch surfaces, may also play an important role. Here we show prolonged survival of multidrug resistant Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae on stainless steel surfaces for several weeks.

However, rapid death of both antibiotic-resistant strains and destruction of plasmid and genomic DNA was observed on copper and copper alloy surfaces, which could be useful in the prevention of infection spread and gene transfer."

Showing that horizontal transmission of genes (for example, those governing antibiotic resistance) occurs on touch surfaces, supports the important role of the environment in infection prevention.

Professor Keevil summarises: "We know many human pathogens survive for long periods in the hospital environment and can lead to infection, expensive treatment, blocked beds and death.

"What we have shown in this work is the potential for strategically-placed antimicrobial copper touch surfaces to not only break the chain of contamination, but also actively reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance developing at the same time. Provided adequate cleaning continues in critical environments, copper can be employed as an important additional tool in the fight against pathogens."

Beyond the healthcare environment, copper also has a wider role to play in infection control. Professor Keevil explains: "Copper touch surfaces have promise for preventing antibiotic resistance transfer in public buildings and mass transportation systems, which lead to local and - in the case of jet travel - rapid worldwide dissemination of multi-drug resistant superbugs as soon as they appear.

"People with inadequate hand hygiene could exchange their bugs and different antibiotic resistance genes just by touching a stair rail or door handle, ready to be picked up by someone else and passed on. Copper substantially reduces and restricts the spread of these infections, making an important contribution to improved hygiene and, consequently, health."

Installations of copper touch surfaces have already taken place across the UK and around the world, harnessing copper's ability to continuously reduce bioburden and consequently the risk of HCAI transmission.

This research offers additional evidence to deploy copper (and copper-containing alloys that benefit from the metal's antimicrobial properties) in the form of touch surfaces to provide extra protection alongside standard hygiene practices.

I Regret to Inform You That . . . . . . . .

The originally proposed 13th Amendment was not properly ratified. This is not the conclusion that I wanted share with you, but in the process of doing my research I have discovered some compelling evidence that has caused me to come to this conclusion. Read the following evidence and draw your own conclusion. Vermont was not a state when the Bill of Rights was presented to the states for ratification. Vermont became a state on March 4, 1791 and voted to ratify the Bill of Rights in November of 1791. Louisiana was not a state when the proposed 13th Amendment was submitted to the states for ratification. Before Vermont became a state there were 13 states and 10 states would have been required to achieve a three fourths majority. After Vermont was admitted there were 14 states and 11 states would have been necessary for ratification. Before Louisiana was admitted as a new state, there were 17 states and 13 of the states would need to ratify the amendment. After Louisiana was admitted there were 18 states and 14 would have been necessary to ratify the proposed amendment. Based upon this premise, the 13th Amendment was not properly ratified. If you disagree would you explain why Vermont was eligible to vote on ratification and Louisiana was not. Louisiana did not participate in the ratification process. In order for the amendment to be properly ratified it would have needed the approval of 14 states. As a matter of fact the amendment was not even discussed by the Louisiana State Legislature. The Constitution does not require states to vote for or against ratification, it only demands the approval of three fourths of the states.

Petruna's story below. Can you imagine, our own news media now are
so politically correct that they are afraid to report that these were all

Muslims? Unbelievable. Thank God for people like Tedd Petruna.

I, Gene Hackemack, received this email from my good friend Tedd
Petruna. He is, a diver at the NBL (Neutral Buoyancy Lab) facility at
NASA Houston . I used to work with Tedd who happened to be on the
AirTran Flight 297, from Atlanta to Houston .

"One week ago, I went to Ohio on business and to see my  father. On
Tuesday, the 17th, I  returned home. If you read the papers the 18th
you may have seen a blurb about where an Air Tran flight was canceled
from Atlanta to Houston due to a man who refused to get off of his cell
phone  before take- off. The story was only on Fox News. That was NOT
what really happened.

I was seated in 1st class coming home. Eleven Muslim men got on the
plane in full Muslim attire. Two of them sat in 1st class and the rest
seated themselves throughout the plane, in coach class, all the way to
the back.. As the plane taxied out to the runway, the stewardesses gave
the safety spiel that we are all so familiar with.

At that time, one of the men, in 1st class, got on his cell and called
one of his companions back in coach. He proceeded to talk on the
phone in Arabic very loudly and very, very aggressively. This activity
took the 1st stewardess out of action for she repeatedly told the man
that cell phones were not permitted at that time. He ignored her as if
she were not there.

The man, who answered the phone back in thecoach section, did the

same and this took out the 2nd stewardess.

Further back in the plane, at the same time, two younger Muslims,
one in the back on the aisle, and one sitting in front of him by the
window, began to show footage of a porno video they had taped the
night before. They were very loud about it.

Now, Muslim men are only permitted to view porno women prior to Jihad.

If a Muslim man goes into a strip club, he has to view the woman via
mirror with his back to her. (Don't ask me, I don't make the rules, but
I've studied Muslims.)

The 3rd stewardess informed the two men that they were not to have
electronic devices on at this time. One of the men said "shut up
infidel dog!"

The stewardess attempted to take the camcorder and the Muslim began to
scream in her face in Arabic. At that exact moment, all eleven of the
men got up and started to walk throughout the cabin.

I guess that because of the noise, the flight crew must have decided that

there was something amiss and changed the plane's directions to head

back to the terminal.

The commotion and noise was reaching a feverish pitch, and at this point
I had had enough! I got up and started towards the back of 1st class,
when I heard a voice behind me, from another Texan twice my size, say

"I got your back." Then I grabbed the man, who had been on the cell phone,

by the arm and said "You WILL sit down in your seat or you WILL be thrown
from this plane!" As I "led" him around me to take his seat, the fellow
Texan grabbed him by the back of his neck and his waist and headed him

back to his seat.

I then grabbed the 2nd man and said, "You WILL do the same!"

He protested loudly, but my adrenaline was flowing now and he was
going to go also. Just as I escorted him forward, the plane stopped,
the doors opened and three TSA agents and four police officers entered

the cabin. Myself and my new Texas friend were told to cease and desist
for they had the situation under control.

I was quite happy to oblige actually. There was still some sort of
commotion in the back, but within moments, all eleven Muslim men were
escorted off the plane. The TSA agents then had their luggage unloaded.

We talked about the occurrence and were in disbelief that it had
happened.

Then suddenly, the door opened again and in walked all eleven Muslim
men! Stone faced, eyes front and robotic, (the only way I can describe
it) they were reseated.

The stewardess from the back had been in tears and when she saw the

men, she was having NONE of it! Since I was up front, I heard and saw

the whole ordeal. She told the TSA agents that there was NO WAY she

was staying on the plane with the Muslim men.

The agent told her that they had searched the men and were going
through their luggage with a fine tooth comb. However, nothing had been
found and that the men were allowed to proceed on to Houston .

The captain and co-captain came out of the cockpit and told the agent,
"We and our crew will not fly this plane!" After a word or two, the entire
crew, luggage in tow, left the plane. Five minutes later, the cabin
door opened again and a whole new crew walked on.

Again, this was where I had had enough! I got up and asked the TSA

agent, "What the hell is going on?

I was told to take my seat. The airlines and TSA were sorry for the
delay and we would be home shortly. I said "I'm getting off this
plane".

The stewardess sternly told me that she could not allow me to get off.

Now I'm really mad! I said "I am a grown man who bought this ticket,
who's time is mine with a family at home and I am going through that
door, or I'm going through that door with you under my arm, but I AM
going through that door!"

And then I heard a voice behind me say "So am I!" Then everyone behind
us started to get up and say the same thing. Within two minutes, I was
walking off that plane where I was met by more TSA agents who asked me
to write a statement about the incident. I had five hours to kill at this point
waiting for the next flight to Houston , so why the hell not give them
my statement.  

Due to the amount of people who got off that flight, it was canceled. I

was supposed to be in Houston at 6 PM, but I finally got there at 12:30

AM. If you don't believe this, look up the date and then Flight 297
from Atlanta to Houston .

If this wasn't a terrorism dry run, I don't know what one is. The
terrorists wanted to see how TSA would handle it, how the crew would 

handle it, and how the passengers would handle it.

I'm telling this to you because I want you to  know. The threat IS real.

I saw it with my own eyes."

Oh, these are glorious days, where you have such an opportunity to lift your spirits to untold heights, dear ones. The energies are building and showering you. Stop and be still many times in the day and welcome it, for this is your opportunity for complete transformation. Yes, you have heard this, but we want to be sure that the next eleven days have your complete attention. In your preparations for 12-12-12, be sure and pay attention to any thoughts of unity and connection to your fellow Beings and Earth. Wrap it all in a ball of Light and hold it in your Heart and expand with it. Feel the Abundance and Joy and Love that all are beginning to experience and make a prayer for all to experience it to the “nth” degree. Go bigger. Go larger. Go lighter. Go brighter. You bring everyone along with you that way. You know we are all One. Any thoughts of separateness and competition are leaving your world. Make it so “24/7”. Consider everyone, even Gaia, as a cell in your body, as you are a cell in theirs. All cells work together to complete and enhance the whole and you are beginning to fathom the magnitude of the benefits of everyone thinking that way. “One for all, and all for one”, as they say. A pulsing, vibrating organism, you are, that is part of a pulsing vibrating organism with all parts being vital and necessary to the peace and abundance and well-being of the Whole. Savor this feeling. It will make you come alive. It will feed you. It will change the world forever more. Add to that your global meditations for the complete well-being, cooperation, peace, abundance, freedom and happiness of all, working in unity to build New Earth, working for the greater good of all, and you have a powerful combination. Every one of you contributes beauty and value just by vibrating and BEing You, like every flower in the meadow enhances and completes the whole experience of breathtaking beauty to one who gazes upon it. The opening and the pivot point is nearly upon you.  A few short days and you will be upon the 12-12-12 portal, then nine short days later, 12-21-12 and some of you may notice a pattern here – it is so.  There are two ways to look at these numbers.  One was as all 9s and the other as 11,9,11.  The first denotes completion, being a 9 and it is time to complete your journey in the old 3D world and step into the ‘new world’.  A time to lay down all your burdens, your fears and doubts and simply leave them behind, a time for new beginnings – for everyone.  The other method really has the same result – 11, being illumination, then the 9 of completion, then again the 11 of illumination.  It matters not which ‘method’ you choose, for they all lead down the same path, to the same destination -  A new beginning, a new world, a new way of being.

Some may look around and think – what new beginning? - all I see is destruction, war, natural disasters and pending economic hardships.  But, we ask you – what comes after these things? - New beginnings.  What comes after the storm you call Sandy? - People helping one another and new beginnings.  It is unfortunate that humans need to be ‘knocked over the head’ to get the message and sometimes brought to the brink before change can be wrought – well, you now are at the brink.  For some, this means great change, for others this means reaching out a helping hand to those who need it.  Some will rise to the challenge and others will sit down and weep, still others will chose to leave because it is too hard.  We commend your dedication and willingness to be here during these difficult times, but remember also, that you all chose to be here because of these times and what is happening.  The challenges that have been laid at your feet are of your own choosing, the triumphs as well.  The burdens that have been put upon your shoulders have been placed there by you and if they seem too heavy it is a reminder from yourself to lay some of them down.

The most intense time of this incarnation is nearly upon you – note, we did not say most important for, we feel that will occur afterwards when your help will be greatly needed, but, most intense – it will be, and on a global scale.  Some will believe that you will nearly be entering what you call WW3, but clearer heads will prevail, despite the talking that will go on.  The tone of caution and reconciliation will come from an unlikely source, but the tinderbox will not ignite, it will merely smolder – for quite some time.  Unfortunately, this will cause some changes in the balance of power in the region and the world.  So, we say to you – you who have been preparing for this moment for eons.  This is your time, the time you all came here for – whether or not you realize it.  We urge you to use it well and remember we are always there for support and assistance in any way we can.

Google reportedly avoided another $2 billion in taxes thanks to outsourced banking, which has already dubbed “immoral” and an “embarrassment” in media as austerity budgets reshape Europeans’ lives.
The California-based Internet giant shifted $9.8 billion in revenues into a no-tax Bermuda company, cutting its overall income tax rate almost by half, Bloomberg cites the company’s subsidiary financials as showing.
Information disclosed on the increase in Google’s revenues routed to Bermuda could add fuel to the outrage spreading across Europe and the US over corporate tax dodging, the agency reports.
“The tax strategy of Google and other multinationals is a deep embarrassment to governments around Europe,” Richard Murphy, an accountant and director of Tax Research LLP in Norfolk, England, told Bloomberg. “The political awareness now being created in the UK, and to a lesser degree elsewhere in Europe, is:  It’s us or them. People understand that if Google doesn’t pay, somebody else has to pay or services get cut.”
In Ireland, Google paid a whopping 0.14 per cent tax on sales of over €47 billion over a seven-year period, the Sunday Independent found out, compared to 21 per cent paid globally. The company keeps tax bills low through a system of transfer pricing – royalty payments filtered through Ireland, the Netherlands and ultimately Bermuda, the paper reports. Conservative MP Charlie Elphicke stressed that Google’s tax charge in Britain was only £3.4 million ($5.4 million) out of declared earnings of £2.5 billion.
Google’s technically legitimate so-called “double Irish/Dutch sandwich” tax strategy is attracting new attention as other top US corporations faced tough questioning by British MPs last month. Google, Starbucks and Amazon were accused of leaking tax revenues from the UK to tax havens abroad, actions that were labeled “immoral.”
Last week, the European Commission advised member states to create blacklists of tax havens and adopt anti-abuse rules in a move to fight the tax evasion and avoidance which costs the EU $1.3 trillion a year. Commissioner for taxation Algirdas Semeta called the tax maneuvers “scandalous” and “an attack on the fundamental principle of fairness.”
According to Google, it complies with all tax rules, and its investments in various European countries help their economies.
