In a power struggle, Weill left American Express in 1985 and Dimon followed him. Dimon resigned as CEO of First Chicago Corp. The two then took over Commercial Credit, a consumer finance company, from Control Data. Dimon served as the chief financial officer, helping to turn the company around. Through a series of unprecedented mergers and acquisitions, in 1998 Dimon and Weill were able to form the largest financial services conglomerate the world had ever seen, Citigroup. Dimon left Citigroup in November 1998, after being fired by Weill during a weekend executive retreat.^[13] It was rumored at the time that he and Weill argued in 1997 over Dimon's not promoting Weill's daughter, Jessica M. Bibliowicz,^[14] although that happened over a year before Dimon's departure. Many other accounts cite other, more substantive, issues as the real reasons.^[15] In his 2005 University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Fireside Chat and 2006 Kellogg School of Management interviews, Dimon confirmed that Weill fired him.
Dimon resigned as CEO of First Chicago Corp. In March 2000, Dimon became CEO of Bank One, the nation's fifth largest bank.^[16] When JPMorgan Chase purchased Bank One in July 2004, Dimon became president and chief operating officer of the combined company.
On December 31, 2005, he was named chief executive officer of JPMorgan Chase and one year later, on December 31, 2006, he was named chairman of the board.^[17]

Dimon donates primarily to the Democratic Party.^[31] In May 2012, he described himself as "barely a Democrat" ^[32] stating,

It doesn't mean I don't have their values. I want jobs. I want a more equitable society. I don't mind paying higher taxes. ... After Obama won the 2008 presidential election, there was speculation that Dimon would serve in the Obama Administration as Secretary of the Treasury. Obama eventually named the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Timothy Geithner, to the position.^[33]
Following the acquisition of Washington Mutual by JPMorgan Chase, Obama commented on Dimon's handling of the real-estate crash, credit crisis, and the banking collapse affecting corporations nationwide, including major financial institutions like Bank of America, Citibank, and Wachovia (now Wells Fargo).

You know, keep in mind, though there are a lot of banks that are actually pretty well managed, JPMorgan being a good example, Jamie Dimon, the CEO there, I don't think should be punished for doing a pretty good job managing an enormous portfolio.^[34]

(The Best Years in Life) I will forever be grateful to my son's pediatrician who examined my son for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) back in 1989. After his examination, the pediatrician's diagnosis was: "The only thing wrong with your son is that he is a boy." It was the usual scenario where because of discipline problems, the school automatically assumed that he had ADD and needed medication. Of course, the recommended medication was Ritalin. This doctor was careful to point out to me that Ritalin came with many side effects, some quite dangerous, emphasizing that one of these side effects was stunted growth. Now, some 20 years later, my son has grown into a fine young man and every now and then I say a silent thank you to that doctor. Had he not had that important heart-to-heart with me, I would have been one of those uninformed concerned mothers who would have consented to administering Ritalin to my son. As with any other psychological disorder, there is no precise testing to determine if a child does indeed have Attention Deficit Disorder. Diagnosis is made simply by observation. Is the child hyperactive? Is he impulsive? Does he distract easily? This is the criteria for the label "Attention Deficit Disorder." Labeling children with ADD actually does them an injustice. It clumps them into a certain classification and instead of looking at the individual needs of a particular child, the perceived illness is treated. For example, does the child have any emotional problems (what's bothering him)? Is he merely bored in school? Does his behavior improve when he participates in activities that he enjoys? Oregon Company to Sell Drone Defense Technology to Public The company says it won't knock drones down, but will stop them from 'completing their mission' By Jason Koebler March 15, 2013 Do you want to keep drones out of your backyard? An Oregon company says that it has developed and will soon start selling technology that disables unmanned aircraft. The company, called Domestic Drone Countermeasures, was founded in late February because some of its engineers see unmanned aerial vehicles—which are already being flown by law enforcement in some areas and could see wider commercial integration into American airspace by 2015—as unwanted eyes in the sky. [READ: Maine Police Buy $300 'Toy' Drone That's Illegal to Use] "I was personally concerned and I think there's a lot of other people worried about this," says Timothy Faucett, a lead engineer on the project. "We've already had many inquiries, a lot of people saying 'Hey, I don't want these drones looking at me.'" Domestic Drones Countermeasures was formed as a spin-off company from Aplus Mobile, which sells rugged computer processors to defense contractors—though the company won't discuss its specific technology because it is still applying for several patents. Faucett says that work has helped inform its anti-drone technology. The company will sell land-based boxes that are "non-offensive, non-combative and not destructive." According to the company, "drones will not fall from the sky, but they will be unable to complete their missions." Though Faucett wouldn't discuss specifics, he says the boxes do not interfere with a drone's navigation system and that it doesn't involve "jamming of any kind." He says their technology is "an adaptation of something that could be used for military application" with the "combat element replaced with a nondestructive element." More and more firearms and ammunition manufacturers are joining the ranks of those who refuse to serve traitors to the Constitution (Beretta being one of them, for crying out loud!), we understand that their number is now up to close to 200 with no signs of slowing down, more and more local LE departments are declaring that they will not, under any circumstances, assist the federal tyrants in DC in violating their citizens’ unalienable rights, some have even gone so far as to declare that they will, further, arrest and prosecute any federal agents trying to do so in their jurisdictions, thousands, tens of thousands of patriots are speaking up openly, stating that they WILL NOT COMPLY ON PAIN OF DEATH with an enemy overthrow of our nation’s supreme law, yet the mindless, power mad tyrants in Moscow on the Potomac press on regardless as do, sadly, too many state governments across the nation, thinking that they’re doing What the People Want™, convinced by their own press and manufactured polls. They’re in for one heck of a surprise. Or maybe they want it that way, it really doesn’t matter to us one tiny little bit at this point. So we know that we’re shouting into the wind here, but honor requires that we warn our enemy before conflict is inevitable. Do not grant them the gift of being able to say as they’re rounded up and marched to the scaffolds that “they couldn’t possibly have known.” If they choose to ignore that warning, and they will, we know that by now, then so be it. But the gauntlet must be thrown. Enemies of We the People and the Constitution of the United States of America to which we swore an unbreakable oath: You are entering territory that is not uncharted, you would know if you’d ever bothered to take a break from licking each others balls and read a few books, but it is fraught with danger, horror, tragedy and pain. You will not emerge from that territory unscathed and, if G-d be truly on our side, you will not emerge at all except to be hanged from the nearest utility posts. And when we say “you”, we would like to remind you that we mean all of you. You, ProgNazi reading this while laughing to yourself at the bluster and bravado of this silly Internet blowhard, may think yourself safe, ensconced behind all of the paramilitary protection that the Enemy Occupation Force that you’ve built can provide. But can you say the same about everybody that you love and care about? Can you say the same about everything that you love and care about? And can you even say that said wall against the inevitable consequences of your own lust for power that obviously overrides the oath that you, with lies in your heart and treason on your mind, made when you made it to DC, that said wall can protect you 24/7? You see, you don’t understand how this whole “asymmetric warfare” thingamajig that you love to talk about on TeeVee to sound smarterer than the proles really works. You think that it’s just a domestic version of the grand battles that you’ve read about in history books about traditional wars and that you’ll be safely hidden behind your lines with the enemies on the other side of those line. Those are international wars, and they bear no resemblance whatsoever to an intranational war, which is what you’ll be facing. There are numerous examples to choose from, but we’d suggest that you just pick up a book about the Balkans. That was either builquite well. Or you could pick the Revolutionary War, but it’s obvious to us by now that you really couldn’t care less about that particular war which birthed a Constitution that you swore, impatiently, an oath to during a lot of pomp and circumstance, wishing that they’d just get it over with already so you could get on to taking bribes and sodomizing underage interns. Here are a few pointers, just to get you started: 1) You won’t know who is your enemy and who is your friend. The person who might put a bullet in the back of your head tomorrow could be your neighbor or could be standing in line ahead of you, right now, at the grocery store. 2) Even if you yourself are safe, those you care about won’t be. Ironically, the more solidly you build the wall to protect yourself against the consequences of your own treason, the more likely you make it that retaliation will strike somebody else that you love. If we can’t get to you, then we’ll get to somebody or something you love. 3) Everything you depend on in your daily life, right down to stuff you don’t even think about right now, everything, was either built by or maintained by people who might just hate your guts. You like to have the lights on in your house? Don’t count on it staying on. The people who built the power plant know how to destroy it. The car you drive? The mechanic fixing it might just be a patriot adding a few “extra features” to it before he hands you back the keys. Just a few examples. We’re sure you can come up with many more if you sit down and think about things that you depend on others to provide for you. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE MIGHT BE SOMEBODY WHO WANTS YOU DEAD. Actually, you might not want to think about that at all. But you should. 4) Your enemies, We the People, those of us who believe in the Constitution and know our responsibility to it, are far more numerous than you think. And we’re everywhere. And we don’t wear uniforms so you can easily identify us. Nor will we identify ourselves. No, we will NOT allow ourselves to be gunned down in encounters we cannot possibly hope to prevail in. Instead, we will “meekly submit” for the cameras and then go home to plot your destruction. And we will do so. The more you stump on us, the more you force us to endure humiliation in order to live to fight another day on OUR terms, the deeper our hatred will burrow and the less of a ##### we will care when an opening presents itself to make you wish that you had never been born. 5) A lot of us went through military training. We are MUCH better equipped, mentally, to handle the kind of situation that you’re FORCING upon us than your mall ninjas, no matter how much you try to buy up all of the “latest and greatest” military equipment for them. Equipment alone doesn’t win the battle. Look up “Afghanistan: The Soviet Invasion of” if you doubt us. Moreover, we’re all bound to an oath that we, unlike you, took seriously when we made it. We’re all trained, finely honed, to focus on the mission and our honor, second to absolutely nothing else. And we’re supremely well equipped to train those of our fellow patriots who didn’t go through that. Just ask the Egyptians, Syrians et al how they fared about the Israelis in 1947 when the pisslamists were armed to the teeth against a bunch of rag tag Jews. It all started in the late hours of Monday night, when lobbyists working for the Monsanto-fronted biotechnology industry managed to slide a ‘rider’ (through the deceptively worded Farmer Assurance Provision, Sec. 735) into the Senate Continuing Resolution spending bill that is currently on the table of the Senate. I found this interesting article which makes a strong case that Leonard Cohen has been enrolled in the MK Ultra program from at least the age of 17. "On Thursday, the California State Senate passed the first in a spate of 30 gun control bills authored in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, which, taken together, have the potential to fundamentally alter gun ownership in the Golden State,” Aaron Sankin of The Huffington Post reported. “The bill, authored by Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) and passed in a largely bipartisan vote, would require a mandatory background check fee on all gun purchases,” the report continued. “The state would then use that money for a program that confiscates firearms from people who are no longer legally allowed to own them due to a criminal conviction, mental illness or court order.” A court order like a vindictive ex-significant other filing for a restraining order, among other things …? Isn’t it curious how those who actually engage in threatening behavior against women are allowed to plea down and keep their guns –if they’re on the right side of the “gun control” debate and have the right connections? For anyone else, including some whose “crime” has been to live with someone who has received even brief treatment at a mental health facility? Let the confiscations begin, as Kurt Hofmann and Anthony Martin reported today in their respective columns. “But wait,” as the late infomercial giant Billy Mays used to say, “there’s more!” “Other gun control bills that have been introduced in recent months, nearly all by Democrats, include a prohibition on ‘bullet button’ devices for assault rifles, background checks on ammunition purchases, a requirement that all gun owners use trigger locks or lock boxes, a prohibition on sex offenders and those deemed mentally ill from owning firearms and expanding the list of crimes which could stop someone from owning a gun,” Sankin continued, noting “California already has some of the toughest gun laws of any state in the country--one of only three to receive an ‘A-‘ ranking from the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.” Among existing edicts: In California, all gun sales require a background check and must go through a licensed dealer; all gun dealers have to be licensed by the state; handgun owners need a special license and to pass a written test; gun shows are tightly regulated; handgun purchases are limited to one per month; there is a 10-day waiting period for the sale or transfer of a firearm; all firearm sales are recorded; local law enforcement can prevent someone from getting a permit to carry a concealed weapon; and, in 2007, California became the first state to require micro-stamping, which allows police to match a bullet with a database of all the guns legally sold in the state. So all this works in pretty neatly with another bit of news that, for now is unrelated, and the good people of the Golden State had better pray to Gaia Almighty it stays that way. Perhaps some of Janet Napolitano’s crack Imperial Sardaukar can spare some of those 1.6 billion rounds or however many they’re said to be saving for a rainy day … So here you are, hamstrung by all those existing California gun laws, and assuming you aren’t pancaked into the rubble and can make it back (probably on foot) from wherever you are to your home (sans a gun, by the way, since concealed carry permits in these areas inhabited by millions are rarer than Westboro Baptists in West Hollywood), you’re now told you’re on your own for at least two weeks. Probably without utilities and with a very limited stock of basic supplies, including drinking water, and surrounded by neighbors in the same fix. And you’re all bordered on, or just a quick ride from, other neighborhoods that may not be as ... bourgeois ... as yours. How will you -- and they -- react when it turns out millions aren’t prepared to go even two days, and besides that, there are all kinds of opportunities to add to material happiness, now that the store registers aren’t working anyway, nor are any credit, debit and wealth transfer cards, and the only thing standing between those who would take and those who have are … those who have. Dear RM Agents and Readers, We collected with great sacrifice 4.00 to prove that the CDC existed to no avail. There were those that spoke of large amounts of money being paid for paychecks yet that seems to be just some black hole that has swallowed more than I can guess. There has been no work brought forward that would suggest this money or these jobs are real. There have been those that have called and spoke with -what seemed like a person at the CDC office- but we are guessing at this time it must have been some sort of apparition. We are absolutely sure the CDC does not exist. Some went to the crazy notion of sending letters and emails in an attempt to prove the CDC's existence; yet again they were proven wrong. Most of the responses were extremely similar and so it is felt that they were simply generated by a machine; obviously there is no one human home. It was also stated that they are involved in wedding planning and zombie preparation. Okayyyyyyy, hmmmmm. Byron Illinois: A story published in the 'Japan Times' newspaper alleges that a power outage last year at the nuclear power plant in Byron was potentially far more serious than first reported. The article alleges that managers at the facility delayed using backup generators for 8 minutes while they investigated the cause of the outage, leaving critical safety equipment inoperable and risking a catastrophic meltdown. Officials at the Byron facility did confirm at the time of the outage that a small amount of radioactive gas did leak from the plant during the incident, but stated that backup generators worked as they should have. The article also goes on to detail a reported design flaw in the Byron facility it alleges makes it especially susceptible to a catastrophic accident. The nation of Japan has been keenly interested in the issue of nuclear power safety since a tsunami wiped out the Fukushima nuclear power plant exactly two years ago Monday. While the tsunami initiated the disaster, it was then made worse through poor decision making by the government those in charge of operating the plant, precipitating the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl in the Ukraine. The 'Japan Times' reports the Byron plant has a culture that undercuts safety and ignores design flaws it states are 'Echoes of Fukushima.' It also acknowledges, however, that the Byron plant is well known for having one of the best safety records of any nuclear power plant in the nation. We were not able to contact Exelon Energy, which runs the Byron plant before the end of business hours, but will follow up with them on Tuesday for reaction to the article. WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, March 2, 2013 – Once upon a time, the CIA left no man behind. The Agency took care of its own, even in the face of disapproval from the public or from other government organizations. Right or wrong, the Agency did everything it could to protect its employees. And the leaders in the United States Government backed those decisions, anxious to protect Americans overseas. That was the CIA that saved Dick Holm; that went into the Congo not once but twice to rescue him. In 1964, Dick Holm was a young CIA officer. After a two-year tour in Laos and Thailand, Holm was assigned to the Congo, to collect intelligence and support Belgian operations in the country. One day in 1965, the chief of the air unit directed Holm to conduct an air survey of the area to determine whether arms and ammunition were coming across the border with Sudan. Holm was to ride with pilot Juan Peron in his T-28, a two-seater plane where the passenger sits behind the pilot. The mission was to gather intelligence but, even more importantly, to attack military targets. Holm tells how he and Peron spotted some trucks and a power plant, and Peron attacked both targets. After the attacks, the weather turned threatening, blowing the plane off course. Lost and low on fuel, Peron decided to take the plane down before dark while he still had the ability to land in a clearing. They crash-landed into the jungle. During the landing, Holm was splashed with flaming jet fuel on his face, his hands and his legs. Juan was unhurt. The plane was on fire. Holm’s eyes were seared shut from the fire and he had little use of his hands. He could smell fire and hear Juan yelling at him to get out of the plane. He used his elbows to release the harness and then crawled out of the plane, and Juan helped him get away from the plane minutes before it exploded. Holm was weak and barely able to move, and he and Juan were in enemy territory with no support. Holm says he knew burns meant dehydration and infection, and the jungle was an inhospitable place for someone hurt as badly as he was. Holm says in his book, “Juan used his knife to cut charred skin hanging from several of my fingers. There were already bugs on some of my burns.” Holm and Juan were also in enemy territory. Simba rebels, the force the Belgians and Americans opposed, were in the jungle and would not hesitate to kill Holm and Juan if they found them. They were known to eat their enemies after killing them, believing they gained strength from eating their vital organs. The next morning, Juan found a village. Village Chief Faustino agreed to help Holm and Juan to safety, and to take care of Holm while Juan went for help. When Juan and the villagers came back to Holm, he was covered in bees and barely conscious. The villagers made a litter and carried Holm back to the village. They cared for his burns and dug out the worm-like bugs that had burrowed into his wounds. They applied a salve that hardened and created a type of coating, which Holm credits with saving his life. Juan and two villagers left Holm in the village to go for help. Eight days later, Juan and the villagers arrived at an air station in Paulis. Within two hours, the Agency officers at Paulis received permission to use one of the Belgian helicopters at the field to rescue Holm. They also sent a T-28, piloted by Juan, and the air operations chief in Paulis had ordered a C130 to be at Paulis to transport Holm as soon as he arrived. When the helicopter crashed on landing to rescue Holm, the air operation authorized a second helicopter to take its place. Eileen Hart was with her husband Keith and her 7-year-old daughter on Saturday at the Gloucester Community Center to dispute a mandatory home re-evaluation that would roughly double her property value (and therefore dramatically increase her rates), objecting on multiple grounds. As an Orthodox Jew, she refused to have the inspectors in her home when her husband was away at work. As an American citizen, she objected to the seemingly arbitrary reappraisal, noting that she is not planning on selling her home and hasn’t renovated her kitchen in 30 years. But at the forum, Hart was allegedly told that since she didn’t let the inspectors into her home, they had a right to “assume” its value under the New Jersey state constitution. “How could they assume that my value had doubled when there is absolutely no housing market?” she asked TheBlaze rhetorically over the phone. “There is basically no GDP growth.” After Hart started citing the Constitution, a representative of Appraisal Systems, Inc.– the company contracted by the state to conduct appraisals– started “freaking out,” she said, and called for Gloucester County tax assessor Robyn Glocker-Hammond. “Sit down and shut up,” Hart said Glocker-Hammond told her, adding that she (Glocker-Hammond) was there to “enforce the law.” “I didn’t see a badge,” Hart noted. “Her title is tax assessor, not law enforcement officer.” Glocker-Hammond started speaking to Hart’s husband like a “two-year-old,” Hart claimed, and after she objected, Glocker-Hammond once again told her to be quiet. “I have a right to speak out against this, this is a public place, my tax dollars pay your salary,” Hart told the tax assessor, already incredulous at the drastic increase in her rates. “I don’t work for you,” the assessor allegedly retorted. At that point, Appraisal Systems, Inc. representative Andrew Colavecchio started advancing towards her, she said, like he was about to grab her arm. “Don’t you dare touch me,” she said after he allegedly got so close he touched her coat. Glocker-Hammond then told her she had to leave the public forum and threatened to call the authorities, though Hart swears she never cursed or acted inappropriately. That’s when things got serious. As Hart left the building she saw Colavecchio “sneering” at her and said to him in passing, “look at the little pencil-pusher.” Hart said Colavecchio threatened to call 911 and “ran after us in the parking lot like a banshee, his face was purple, [he was] disheveled, [he] started to take down my license plate and ran off. When he got to the doors of the building he screamed at us, ‘let’s see if you can pay your taxes now!’” Much to her surprise, Hart returned home to numerous police cars, the officers asking if they could bring her in for questioning even though they did not have a warrant. She was not allowed to drive behind with her husband, but was forced to ride in the police vehicle. Colavecchio had apparently told the police that Hart was “yelling and screaming” and threatened to return to the meeting with a gun. I aired my grievances in a public place to [tell] the government that I did not agree with what they were doing to me or to anybody else.” Hart said she was doubly surprised when, instead of getting her side of the story, police handcuffed her to a chair and charged her with “terroristic threats.” She told TheBlaze with conviction: “I have a 7-year-old daughter, I homeschool her. I would never risk going to prison for the rest of my life and lose everything. I have no criminal history, I have no history of drug abuse, no history of alcohol abuse, I have no history of mental illness, I have never committed a crime a day in my life. And because I used my First Amendment right I was arrested for it.” After trying to “coerce” her into making a statement along the lines of “what he thinks happened,” Hart said the police sergeant informed her that if she didn’t turn over her firearms for “safe keeping,” her bail would be set prohibitively high and it was unclear how long she would have to remain in custody. “[So I] sit in jail and my daughter doesn’t have a mother…?” she asked TheBlaze, implying that she didn’t really have a choice in the matter.
