Giant Banks Take Over Real Economy As Well As Financial System … Enabling Manipulation On a Vast Scale

Top economists, financial experts and bankers say that the big banks are too large … and their very size is threatening the economy.
They say we need to break up the big banks to stabilize the economy.
They say that too much interconnectedness leads to financial instability.
They also say that the big financial players are able to manipulate virtually every market in the world.
And that the government has given the banks huge subsidies ... which they are using for speculation and other things which don't help the economy.
But the big banks have only gotten bigger – and more interconnected – than before the phony financial “reform” legislation was passed a couple of years ago.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, four congressmen point out that the big banks are now taking over the tangible economy as well … which allows them to control and manipulate the markets.
Specifically, Congressman Grayson wrote – and Congressmen Conyers, Ellison and Grijalva co-signed – a letter to the Federal Reserve which, in the words of a congressional aide:
Ask[ed] why large banks are engaged in a host of commercial activities, including power production, management of ports, oil drilling and distribution, and uranium mining. These activities have nothing to do with the business of banking and it’s unclear how the Fed or other bank regulators can actually regulate them. There’s useful and somewhat crazy information in the 10Ks of the banks about what they are currently doing. You can find that in the footnotes of the letter.

Dear Chairman Bernanke,
We write in regards to the expansion of large banks into what had traditionally been non-financial commercial spheres. Specifically, we are concerned about how large banks have recently expanded their businesses into such fields as electric power production, oil refining and distribution, owning and operating of public assets such as ports and airports, and even uranium mining. [Isn't that a national security issue?]
Here are a few examples. Morgan Stanley imported 4 million barrels of oil and petroleum products into the United States in June, 2012.[i] Goldman Sachs stores aluminum in vast warehouses in Detroit as well as serving as a commodities derivatives dealer.[ii] This “bank” is also expanding into the ownership and operation of airports, toll roads, and ports.[iii] JP Morgan markets electricity in California.
In other words, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley are no longer just banks – they have effectively become oil companies, port and airport operators, commodities dealers, and electric utilities as well. This is causing unforeseen problems for the industrial sector of the economy. For example, Coca Cola has filed a complaint with the London Metal Exchange that Goldman Sachs was hoarding aluminum. JP Morgan is currently being probed by regulators for manipulating power prices in California, where the “bank” was marketing electricity from power plants it controlled. We don’t know what other price manipulation could be occurring due to potential informational advantages accruing to derivatives dealers who also market and sell commodities. The long shadow of Enron could loom in these activities.
According to legal scholar Saule Omarova, over the past five years, there has been a “quiet transformation of U.S. financial holding companies.” These financial services companies have become global merchants that seek to extract rent from any commercial or financial business activity within their reach.[iv]  They have used legal authority in Graham-Leach-Bliley to subvert the “foundational principle of separation of banking from commerce”. This shift has many consequences for our economy, and for bank regulators. We wonder how the Federal Reserve is responding to this shift.
It seems like there is a significant macro-economic risk in having a massive entity like, say JP Morgan, both issuing credit cards and mortgages, managing municipal bond offerings, selling gasoline and electric power, running large oil tankers, trading derivatives, and owning and operating airports, in multiple countries. Such a dramatic intertwining of the industrial economy and supply chain with the financial system creates systemic risk, since there is effectively no regulatory entity that can oversee what is happening within these sprawling global entities.
Our questions are as follows:
1)      What is the Federal Reserve’s current position with respect to allowing Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to continue trading in physical commodities and holding commodity-related assets after the expiration of the statutory grace period during which they, as newly registered bank holding companies, must conform all of their activities to the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956? What is the legal justification for this position?
2)      Has the Federal Reserve been investigating the full range of risks, costs, and benefits – to the national economy and broader society – of allowing these institutions (and, possibly, other large financial holding companies) to engage in trade intermediation and commercial activities that go far beyond pure financial services?  If so, please share the results of your investigation. If not, why not?
3)      What types of data do you collect about the regulated financial holding companies’ non-financial activities? How does the Federal Reserve interact with non-bank regulators who are in charge of overseeing the areas and markets in which banking institutions conduct their non-financial activities?
4)      How do your examiners review, monitor, and evaluate banking organizations’ management of potential conflicts of interest between their physical commodity businesses and their derivatives trading?
5)      If such an entity were to become insolvent, what complications are likely to arise in resolving a company with such a range of activities? Please share your analysis on the implications of resolution authority on the commercial activities of systemically important financial institutions. Please describe how these banks approach this issue in their resolution plans (or “living wills”).
6)      When your examiners work within these large institutions, what framework do they use to, say, consider the possibility that a bank run could ensue from a massive public oil spill by a Goldman Sachs-owned oil tanker or a nuclear accident at a plant owned by a bank?
7)      Does this relatively new corporate structure contribute to the likelihood of industrial supply shocks?

Our federal government has instructed our federal, state and local police agencies that everyone who purports to be a SOVEREIGN should be TREATED as a TERRORIST! They have also brainwashed the American public into believing that being a SOVEREIGN is anti-American and unpatriotic! Perhaps this is: “The POT calling the KETTLE black?”

What are the implications of this 2000, U. S. Supreme Court ruling?

1] The delegates to the first Federal Convention prohibited the use of corporations by all governments representing the American Republic. Therefore, all of these corporate governments and their corporate laws are a usurpation of the organic Constitution of the United States of America. All State Governments are now sub-corporations of the Federal Government, making all Courts and all law enforcement personnel, corporate federal agencies or employees. [See: James Madison Journal of the Federal Convention, Vol. 2, P. 722] and [Pull up your State Code on your PC and search the Code for the words “District of Columbia” and “Federal Government.” You will receive about 1000 references linking your state to the federal government.]


2] The state and federal government is a corporation and therefore the Congress, State Legislatures, City Councils, Municipalities and all State and Federal Courts are corporate entities posing as Constitutional branches of government.

3] Corporations are privately owned businesses, meaning that the Corporate United States belongs to one or more private individuals, which is always governed by a Board of Directors. The Corporate United States is privately owned by a group of European Royal and Elite individuals tied to the Federal Reserve System and the letters of incorporation are recorded in the Vatican. The President of the United States is actually the CEO of the United States and the Congress and all others are corporate employees. Everything they do is in the interest of the corporate owners! I can’t access those documents because of National Security.

4] In order to promulgate and enforce Criminal Laws to govern the SOVEREIGN public, government must be SOVEREIGN too, which is an accepted RULE of LAW derived from the, Ancient Law of Kings. Corporations are not and can never be SOVEREIGN. They are not real, they are a fiction and only exist on paper.

5] Therefore, all laws created by these government corporations are private corporate regulations called public law, statutes, codes and ordinances to conceal their true nature. Do the Judge and your lawyer know about this? You bet they do!

6] Since these government bodies are not SOVEREIGN, they cannot promulgate or enforce CRIMINAL LAWS; they can only create and enforce CIVIL LAWS, which are duty bound to comply with the LAW of CONTRACTS. The Law of Contracts requires signed written agreements and complete transparency! Did you ever agree to be arrested and tried under any of their corporate statutes? For that matter, did you ever agree to contract with them by agreeing to be sued for violating their corporate regulations?

[Citations and Complaints are contracts but they lack transparency because you were never told what might happen to you if you agree to contract, and that you had a right to refuse the accommodation!]

7] Do any of Americas Courts have Jurisdiction over a SOVEREIGN? Yes … but only by your consent to be judged by the Court. Can they compel [Summon or Subpoena] you to appear or participate in their process? No … they can’t compel you and Yes … they can ask but you can reject the accommodation in writing and nothing can be done about it because you have refused to give the court jurisdiction over you!

8] Enforcement of these corporate statutes by local, state and federal law enforcement officers are unlawful actions being committed against the SOVEREIGN public and these officers can be held personally liable for their actions. [Bank v. U.S., 529 US 334-2000]

9] There being no Constitutional Criminal Laws or Transparency in the American Justice System, everyone arrested, convicted and sentenced to prison under these CIVIL LAWS are in prison by CONSENT and therein, all American Jails are actually DEBTORS PRISONS!

10] Most of the County and State Prisons and all of the Federal Prisons are privately owned corporate businesses for profit, which kick back to the sentencing Judges. The Bureau of Prisons Privatization Management Branch provides general oversight, for these institutions. So if you are convicted in these Courts, you can expect to serve some jail time! Now you know why America has such high prison populations!

11] Can the State Government and Courts take Custody of your children? Only with your consent, otherwise their agents and officers can be held personally liable for their actions! Orphans are a different matter and can become wards of the Court until emancipated.

Corporate governments are a usurpation of the organic American Constitution and this corporatist onslaught in America has since its creation, been an ANTI-SOVEREIGN and TERRORIST REGIME and are in fact the real TERRORIST and TRAITORS to the American Republic.

We have entered a place where the love that He shed abroad in our hearts has brought us to, a place where hungering for more of Him has brought us.

And I hear the spirit of the Lord saying, it is like horses running and galloping that have been fenced in and all of a sudden they are breaking the boundaries and the borders that they have been confined in, in their mindset. He is saying to us be free in Me, you have patiently waited. All of a sudden you are breaking the mindset that has kept you from doing the great work that I have called you to do! I hear the Lord saying, it is breaking forth the boundaries, it is breaking forth the borders and it is like a river that cannot be confined any longer, the love in us is rising up like that river, the love is rising up and it is going forth from this place, says the Lord, My love can no longer be confined by your physical being, nor your mind, it can no longer be contained so you will begin to do exploits from that place of love. And this love is supernatural, says the Lord.

And I can see by the Spirit of grace and mercy, the love of God is beginning to rise up on the inside of each and everyone of us. Those things on the inside of you that up until now has been insurmountable, something that you could never change, something that you could never do and you have tried over and over again, the boundaries are broken now. The boundaries are being loosed and set free, every border that kept you in, right now you are stepping over and you are stepping into that promise that He has made for you and you are doing it so freely now. For the season has come for My people to be so free, so that they can go set others free. And so now says the Lord, step over that border, step over the boundary and do it by faith, because nothing can be done unless it is done from that place of faith. No longer looking at what you see, feel, or think, you will just do it by faith. And today if you will just let that love bathe and saturate your being and then let it flow out of you, this will not be impossible to do, everything that the enemy has lied to you that was impossible is possible to do because I have placed in you the ability and the power and the might. Just step over into that place right now, every man and woman step up right now, step up, step up. And see in your mind’s eye. See the enemy has lied to you, he’s put restrictions on you. God is more concerned about the inside of the cup than He is about the outside of the cup because He said, first wash and clean the inside of the cup, make it clean, so that men could come and drink from you.

So I say this morning, clean, clean the inside. And I am with you to do that supernatural work. No, you can not do it by yourself, but I have fully equipped you to be able to do what I tell you to do and the moment you do it, says the Lord, you’ll see it’s not your hand alone, it’s not your feet alone, it’s not your ability alone, it’s My hand upon your hand. It’s My feet moving your feet and it’s My ability on your inability, says the Lord. And I will cause you to be supernatural and you will do things supernaturally that up until now you have not been able to do. I Am not only talking about the outward sign of laying on of hands and speaking in tongues and doing those things that I have commanded you to do. I Am talking about the greater works on the inside, so that men will know that there is a holy place and a holy people in their midst, says the Lord, because I have called you temples of My glory. And wherever you go men will recognize there is a church in the midst of them a temple of My glory says the Lord.

You have been called such and I want you to exemplify and radiate My glory to a lost and dying world. So go and glow, go and bring forth, go and draw says the Lord. Oh break forth out from the boundaries that the enemy has held you captive in, and go says the Lord, and glow for Me! Bring back the souls who are bound in darkness, bound in sin, they have no way out. But you know the way for I have placed the way on the inside of you. So I say go and bring them in. This is our finest hour. The hour that many shall come, even at the same time many are going, many will come because they have a desperation on the inside of them. If you go into any grocery store or drug store, aside from the mile-long aisles devoted to antacids and laxatives, the next biggest shelf hogs are skin and hair preparations... Lotions. Creams. They (obviously) produce your sweat, which is 99% water. The other 1% is salt, metabolic wastes and acids -- in other words, your inner trash. (That's why it's healthy to exercise and work up a good sweat--hint, hint to all you exercise haters.) Here's an interesting tidbit -- your sweat is actually odorless when it comes out of the dermis! The odor is created if bacteria on your epidermis break down certain fatty materials in your sweat. Your dermis also has sebaceous (oil) glands that secrete sebum. Sebum softens and lubricates your hair, helps your skin retain moisture and kills bacteria on the skin surface. A blocked sebaceous duct turns into a whitehead. If the trapped sebum oxidizes and turns dark, voila, you have a blackhead. And inflamed oil glands can swell and form acne pimples. Now, the boundaries between the epidermis and dermis are not always smooth. For example, in your fingertips these boundaries are studded with bumps and ridges--this is how your fingerprints are created. And lastly, your innermost skin layer--the subcutaneous layer--lies below the dermis and binds your skin loosely to your underlying tissue and bone. It also happens to be where your fat cells reside! Now let's look at... Your hair Compared to other animals, we humans don't have a lot of hair. One anthropologist even called us "naked apes." The average full adult head of hair has about 100,000 hairs on the scalp, and each hair lives about 4 years before it falls out. The roots of your hair lie in the dermis layer of the skin, but the pits from where your hair actually grows (the follicles) are in the epidermis. My children are still not listening to me. Many think that the shaking in your economy is a joke. They think the disclosures about worldwide government snooping are a joke. They think  the things that are starting to happen all over the world – sinkholes, earthquakes, volcanoes – all are aberrations and don’t mean anything.

Children! What is it going to take to wake you up? Must the enemy break down your front door and enter your house before you think something is amiss?

I have been calling loudly. I have been calling clearly. I have been calling for a long time (by your standards), yet most people still continue to snooze or refuse to admit that something might be wrong.

The things that you have feared are about to come upon you now – or, more specifically for most people – your whole carnal world and your earthly lifestyle are about to unravel like a ball of yarn. You will be taken totally unaware. You will be caught off guard. You will be sitting ducks!

It is as if a cat were playing with a ball of yarn, the yarn being your life. As the cat bats at the ball of yarn, first it rolls this way. Then it rolls that way. Soon the yarn begins to unravel. The closer it gets to the middle of the ball, the faster it unravels.

THIS IS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO MOST OF THE PEOPLE ON THE PLANET AS THE “CAT” BATS THE BALL (YOUR LIFE) ABOUT.

Know that real cats just like to play with yarn for the sheer joy and pleasure of it, but the “cats” (or people) I am speaking of have a plan and a purpose for what they are doing. They have rigged the rules in their favor and they intend to win. They intend to strip the balls of yarn down to the last little bit of string that is left. Most people are in denial and will continue so, until that evil breaks down their door.

Time is so short. The shaking has begun and will continue to intensify with each passing day. Things are NOT going to go back to how they were in the 1940’s or

50’s or 60’s. Satan is going to try and turn the world on its ear one way, while I will be turning it another.

  

“Shake, Rattle and Roll” will be the theme song until I return.* The waltzes and dreamy groovy songs of yesterday are past. They had their day, but that day is gone too. This will be a day of sirens, of explosions, of burning and of chaos.

Satan wants to be worshipped as God and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. Never mind that this goal can only be achieves by lies, threats, intimidation and bullying. To him it does not matter as long as he gets what he wants.

You MUST be hidden in me. You MUST inquire of me. You MUST be willing to obey me. You MUST be willing to put my promptings FIRST, for I know so much more than you do.

I can move the door so the enemy can’t even find it. I can blind him and confuse him. I can arrange things so that it is HE who stumbles and not you.

Right now many are still too complacent. You are still too busy thinking about your individual lives instead of my long term Plan for you. THIS THINKING WILL GET YOU CAUGHT IN A TRAP! You will not be able to escape. You thought you had it all figured out, but you didn’t. REPENT!

Get off the world’s road and get onto the Highway of Holiness. [Isa. 35] Be set apart for ME, not just playing on the edge of the spider’s web.

The day is very close now when everything will begin to unravel. As it does, it will be like an avalanche traveling downhill at an ever increasing rate of speed. It will obliterate everything in its path. No tree or rock is left unscathed in an avalanche. Every tree and rock is moved out of its place. Nothing remains the same. When the avalanche finally stops everything in the old familiar scene has changed. You must either be underground or above it to be protected when it hits.

— Indiana law enforcement officials could find it easier to fight crime if a national database holding DNA profiles of everyone born in the United States is created as the result of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling last month, experts say.

The prospect has had investigators and privacy advocates abuzz since the high court's June 3 decision that police could take a DNA swab from anyone arrested for a serious crime without violating Fourth Amendment limits on search and seizure.

Currently, DNA profiles of felons or arrestees are entered into a national database that is managed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and used to match evidence left at a crime scene. Twenty-eight states and the federal government now take DNA swabs after arrests.

A broader database would allow investigators to screen the entire population to find the right suspect instead of limiting their search to those who had already been arrested or convicted, said Kristine Crouch, a forensic scientist for the Indiana State Police.

"If you leave your DNA at the crime scene, we will know who you are," Crouch said.

But some are worried that the definition of offenses that qualify for DNA samples could be stretched to include things as minor as traffic tickets. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says allowing law enforcement to take DNA samples is simply the first step toward collecting DNA from everyone in the country.

"People are arrested all the time for talking back to a police officer, things like that," said Ruthann Robson, a professor of constitutional law at the City University of New York. A broader database, she said, would be "kind of a profile of everybody by name, which sounds like Brave New World and Big Brother-ish."

Supporters like Penn State Dickinson School of Law Professor David Kaye say broadening the database would make the system fairer and more effective. The current system containing only convicts and arrestees disproportionately represents minorities, Kaye said, and only allows DNA to be matched to people who already have a criminal record. Broadening the sample increases the odds of someone getting caught, even if they haven't been caught before.

"The more people who are in it, the greater the chance of finding matches when searches are done," said Kaye, an expert on the use of DNA evidence.

But it's not as simple as collecting the DNA, Crouch said. Cost and logistics are formidable obstacles.

"You'd have to generate a DNA profile from them first, which takes about 15 minutes and costs $25," she said. Multiply that by the U.S. population, and you have a cost in the billions of dollars.

Time is another factor. Each DNA profile requires about 15 minutes, she said, and the Indiana lab processes about 90 per day. Nationally, that's millions of hours to take all the profiles, let alone the time it takes to put them in a database.

Such a database would require strict oversight to make sure it isn't misused, some experts said.

"I make a very sharp distinction between using DNA as a super fingerprint and using DNA as a way of learning things about people's health and insurability," said Harvard University law professor Alan Dershowitz, who favors setting up a universal DNA database.

Crouch said investigators would have to be extremely careful in their use of DNA.

"Say you flip your cigarette out the window and the next day somebody robs a bank nearby. You could be accused of that crime," she said.

Boise State University professor Greg Hampikian, who heads the Idaho Innocence Project that helped U.S. college student Amanda Knox win her freedom in an Italian murder case, said expanding the database could help clear people falsely convicted of crimes. But he acknowledged it would pose a clear danger to privacy.

"I just want to know, where are the safeguards?" he said
