Why has O been staunch on his position that he will meet M on the 1st????......Frank has pointed to this....

If the rate is to change on the 1st, the CBI may not reveal this until the 3rd....this fits exactly in the proposed current theory of a "major" announcement by the CBI that Frank has stated the TEAM believes will be on the 3rd.....NOTE, Frank has been pointing elsewhere to look that may give hints of the rate change prior to the CBI.

I would not expect to see confirmation of a rate change tomorrow no matter what....the CBI is closed

TSA Agent and Others Shot at LAX – Gunman in Custody

A chaotic scene has unfolded at LAX as a gunman wielding a rifle open-fired wounding at least 2 people.

LOS ANGELES (INTELLIHUB) — Just after 9am a gunman open-fired inside LAX’s Terminal 3 Friday, releasing a melee of flying lead as one TSA agent and a few other people have been reported to be struck and wounded.
“The shooter approached the checkpoint and fired the rifle at a TSA agent”, reported CNN live on air.
Witnesses at the scene say the FBI and law enforcement officials are present and are now “evacuating” parts of the terminal as victims have been seen being transported away in busses. It remains unclear if there are more shooters at this time as police continue to scour the facility.
One tweet reads:
It has been reported that the shooter was wielding a rifle.
Law enforcement teams are currently combing the airport. 
As of 10:30am the “Bomb Squad” can not make it into the airport due to blockage by traffic.
We will be updating this article as we receive new information.

WASHINGTON: To boldly go in a revolutionary ship where no one has commanded before. Why the clumsy Star Trek reference? Because the Navy’s newest, stealthy, most radical ship, the USS Zumwalt, will be commanded by the fabulously named Capt. James A. Kirk. The Navy couldn’t make something like this up, could they?

The Zumwalt, launched on Monday, contains a plethora of new weapons, a radical power plant and a controversial new hull design designed to reduce its radar signature. And it really is commanded by Capt. James A. Kirk. As aficionados of the original Star Trek series know, the full name of the USS Enterprise’s commander was James Tiberius Kirk, so there should be no mistaking the two men.
How important is the first of the three Zumwalt-class ships to the US Navy? One of America’s preeminent naval experts, Norm Polmar, put it simply:
“The Zumwalt introduces new hull form and machinery concepts that could be the harbinger of the next generation of surface warships. In some respects the advancements are comparable to the Monitor of Civil War fame that revolutionized naval ship design.”
One of the country’s top defense lawmakers, Rep. Randy Forbes, tells us the Zumwalt and her sister ships “are poised to define surface ship design for years to come. It is game-changing technologies like those found on the Zumwalt-class that will enable the Navy’s future dominance in the decades ahead.”
What makes the ship so powerful a tool? Polmar says “the ship is the perfect platform for deployment of rail guns and laser weapons because of her electric-oriented power plant.” That advanced power plant provides much more power — up to 78 megawatts of power, enough to power about 47,000 American homes — that can be used by weapons than existing non-nuclear ships. While it was originally designed to provide land attack support (think a high-tech battleship), that role has been supplemented. Missile defense now features more prominently. Polmar’s assessment needs to be taken seriously. He has advised three Navy Secretaries, two Chiefs of Naval Operations and has 50 books — mostly on the Navy — to his credit.
Scott Truver, a respected consultant on naval issues, pointed to the Zumwalt’s much smaller crew size as another fundamental shift for the Navy:
When upwards of 70% of the total ownership cost (TOC) of an ship class is directly related to people, anything that can reduce manning — without diminishing warfighting-first and readiness capabilities, of course — will be major contributors to keeping TOCs in check. The DDG-1000 (Zumwalt) class is the first U.S. Navy warship to fully embrace the precepts of human systems integration in the design and engineering phase—when some 60 percent of a warships’ TOC (Total Operating Costs) are already locked in…. In short, lessons learned from Zumwalt have the potential to ripple throughout the service, generating a real revolution at sea!
He also notes the exotic weapons the Zumwalt can use: “The power-generation and switching and all-electric propulsion systems will enable truly exotic weapons—lasers and electromagnetic rail guns and who knows what else—to be fielded.”

One of the longer term, and most interesting aspects, of the Zumwalt class is the fact that growth has been engineered into the system. ”The fifteen-thousand-ton ship has a 10 percent growth margin, equating to some 1,500 tons of potential increase that would enable the ship to host new sensors and weapons as technologies evolve. Inserting such systems into DDG 1000 throughout the next decades and then improving on them, based on their operational effectiveness and ability to deal with emerging threats, will define what the Navy will look like — and how it can fight — in the future,” Truver and co-author George V. Galdorisi wrote in an article for the Naval War College Review three years ago.
The Zumwalt has run into rough seas during its development. Several years ago a prominent naval architect claimed its striking tumblehome hull could lead to the ship rolling over in heavy seas. That assessment appears to have been put to rest by detailed tests of a one-quarter model. And the class shrank from a projected 32 ships at inception to just three. In part because of the shrinking size of the class, the cost per ship ballooned.

The first ship in the Zumwalt class was dealt a final indignity during the shutdown of the federal government. Its Oct. 19 christening was postponed.
“It is incredibly unfortunate that we are being forced to cancel the christening ceremony for this great warship,” Navy Secretary Ray Mabus said in a statement, “but the ongoing government shutdown prevents us from being able to honor Admiral Zumwalt’s memory with a ceremony befitting his and his family’s legacy of service to our Nation and our Navy.”
But now, at last, the Zumwalt — and Captain Kirk — are on their way.

He could get on a plane and fly back but I don't know why he'd have to be unless there's a big celebration. Iraq's Maliki at White House to seek US help battling increasing violence

The prime minister of Iraq, a country in the grip of its worst violence in five years, is in Washington to ask for American help to fight what he calls the growing influence of al Qaeda.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki was scheduled to meet with President Barack Obama Friday afternoon at the White House. In a speech Thursday, he cast the United States and Iraq as partners that had “shed blood together fighting terrorism.”
The visit to Washington is Maliki’s first in two years. For the prime minister, who pushed to get American troops out of Iraq four years ago, the request for help is an illustration of an increasingly dire security situation.

This is the deadliest year in Iraq since 2008. More than 7,000 people have been killed, according to the casualty database Iraq Body Count. Iraqis say that they live in constant fear of explosions and assassinations.

Maliki, in an Op-Ed earlier this week in The New York Times, blamed al Qaeda and its affiliates, and portrayed the attackers as common enemies of the United States and Iraq.

“Imagine how Americans would react if you had a terrorist organization operating on your own soil that killed dozens and maimed hundreds every week,” he wrote. “For Iraqis, that isn’t a hypothetical question.”

Outside experts and some American officials take a different view — blaming a power struggle between religious factions within Iraq and spillover from the civil war in Syria, which shares a border with Iraq.

U.S. officials blame Maliki for moving closer to Iran and refusing, against requests from Washington, to give Sunni and Kurdish minorities in the Iraqi government, which is led by Shiites.

A group of senators, including John McCain, R-Ariz., sent a letter to Obama earlier this week urging him to press Maliki to come up with a “comprehensive political and security strategy that can stabilize the country.”

The letter blamed a resurgent al Qaeda and the spillover from Syria, but it also faulted Maliki for an autocratic leadership style that has alienated Sunnis and Kurds and has driven some Sunnis to join al Qaeda.

On Thursday, Maliki said in a speech that the United States and Iraq were partners that “shed blood together fighting terrorism.” He wants American Apache attack helicopters and other military help to fight militants.

“We have a request — I won’t say a right — it’s a request,” Maliki said Thursday at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington. “It’s not only about Iraq, but it’s about all the countries in the world that are suffering from terrorism.”

In the speech, he denied that violence in his country is being fomented by sectarian strife among Sunni, Shiite and Kurdish factions.
“There is no problem between Sunnis and Shiites,” he said. “The Sunnis are killed today but also the Shiites,” he said. “It is al Qaeda who is killing all of the Iraqis.”

Maliki, in a December 2010 interview with The Wall Street Journal, ruled out the presence of American troops in his country by the end of the following year. The last American troops left in December 2011.

Could this be the newest epidemic?

Here is an interesting little tidbit to start your Friday.
The number of Americans doing a Google search for “hemorrhoids” each week has tripled since 2008.
The term "hemorrhoids" was searched about 40,000 times weekly between 2004 and 2008, but that number shot up to about 80,000 weekly searches by 2010, and blasted to nearly 120,000 during some weeks in 2013!
Now, some experts have claimed that this increase is likely due to “people being more comfortable with the Internet” or “people feeling uneasy discussing hemorrhoids with their doctor.”
While that may be true to a certain degree and can account for some of the upsurge, methinks that the biggest factor here is that increasing numbers of people are having trouble you-know-where.
Let's take a peek at what's going down there with hemorrhoids, as well as its "kissing cousin"--an anal fissure--see why they may be on the rise and most importantly, how to stop them from being such a “PITA.”
A hemorrhoid vs. an anal fissure
Technically everyone has hemorrhoids-hemorrhoids are actually just the veins around your anus or in the lower rectum.
But they become a royal pain when they get swollen and inflamed….so the term “hemorrhoids” has taken on that common meaning.
An anal fissure, on the other hand, is an actual rip or tear in the lining of your anal canal.
The symptoms of both hemorrhoids and fissures are similar and can include:

• Pain or burning during bowel movements
• Bright red blood on the outer portion of your feces or on the toilet paper
• Itching or irritation around your anal area

Hemorrhoids and fissures are most commonly the result of chronic constipation or diarrhea. 
In addition, hemorrhoids can be brought on by pregnancy due to the increased pressure in the rectal area from the developing fetus, while the force or stretching of tissue during childbirth or anal intercourse can lead to a fissure.
They’re not life-threatening…but can be embarrassing
Although they don't cause life-threatening complications, hemorrhoids and fissures are very uncomfortable and can be, well, downright embarrassing. 
Let's face it -- it's difficult to concentrate on school or work, sit still during meetings or classes, walk for extended periods of time or become intimate with your loved one when your back side is hurting, burning, itching and possibly even bleeding.
Now, if an anal fissure is severe enough, it can extend into your internal anal sphincter, which is a ring of muscle that holds your “back door” closed except during bowel movements.
A tear in the sphincter muscle causes it to spasm, which then makes the tear even worse and prevents healing.  At that point, surgery is usually needed to close the fissure and stop your pain.
Keep your anus young-looking and more
Now, a new up and coming "solution" for fissures is--get this--Botox injections! 
Yup--the same stuff that paralyzes countless faces as it erases wrinkles in Hollywood can now paralyze your butt.  How nice.
Oh, and the possible side effects include pain at the injection site and leakage of gas or stool (anal incontinence). 
I’ll take the fissure, thank you.
And let's not forget that common surgeries for hemorrhoids include squeezing them off with rubber bands (ligation), laser burning or cutting them out (hemorrhoidectomy). 
I can't even think of those without wincing.  Plus many times the hemorrhoids can return after you've had these procedures done.
Other hemorrhoid/fissure treatments
In addition to surgery, other medical treatments are:

• Hydrocortisone cream
• Rectal steroid cream
• Nitroglycerine ointment
• Sitz baths

But just like with most other pharmaceutical offerings, these are merely a Band-Aid approach that do nothing to address the underlying CAUSE of the fissure or hemorrhoid -- which in most cases is incomplete digestion and anything-but-normal bowel movements.

I accidentally accessed your web site looking for information about how long it is safe to take stool softeners.
About a year ago I ended up in the ER with impacted bowels. I only went because I thought I was having appendicitis. But it turned out to be impacted bowels. I was prescribed laxatives and stool softeners.
I took the laxatives twice a day as prescribed for 5 days and on the fifth day, my electrolytes got so messed up, I almost had to go back to the ER. Yes. Is it likely? Who knows? All of the DC people feel good that they got what they wanted and they're all playing nice. Did you notice whom Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?  He threatened not to pay:

- Social Security Retirees

- Military Retirees

-Federal Retirees.

Now let this sink in really well...

- He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens.

- He did not threaten to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates.

- He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired.

- He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around--- $20 Million already spent on family vacations.  (One Million on a FL golf outing). All our money...why not?

- He didn't threaten farm subsidies.

- He did not threaten not to pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff.

- He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients or to stop the free cell phones they get.

- He did not threaten the food stamp programs.

- He did not threaten to reduce payments in foreign aid.

- He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters.

- The list could go on and on.  He is in full political mode!

Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his selfishness and his lies?  Have WE lost our blooming minds!!!!!!!!His type of change is killing our country.  He needs to be stopped.  Do not forget about his tactics when it's election time 2014.  Get out and Vote in the mid-term election - 2014.  Support the people in the House and Senate that are willing to cut taxes and spending.  Let's make 2014 - the beginning of a turn-around.  Forget change.  We want our $$$$$$$$$ back and we want to take our country back!
