A lot has been written lately about Barack Obama’s ‘latte salute’ to his Marine guards. There has also been a lot written about his disrespect for the military and for America in general ever since he illegally assumed the highest office in the land. (Don’t know if you’ve noticed but for the past couple of months, I refuse to recognize him as president and will use other terms to denote his ill-gotten position. Yes the office of President deserves respect, but Obama so disrespects the office himself that I refuse to show any respect to him or the office as long as he holds it.)
Reading through many of the ways Obama has insulted or disrespected the military reminded me of when Bill Clinton was president. Both Bill and Hillary constantly treated their military guards as nothing more than hired servants to be walked on. I know a former Marine who was assigned duty with the Clintons and with George W. Bush and he told me the Clinton’s were very rude, harsh and unfriendly to him and his fellow Marines. He said they treated all military people with obvious disdain. If you remember, it was Clinton that started closing a number of military bases in the US, including one in my home area of Arizona that drastically hurt the local economy.
On the flip side, both George W. and First Lady Laura always treated them with the utmost respect. They both often talked with him and his fellow Marines and let them know how grateful they were for their service and protection. My friend told me that he would have taken a bullet without any hesitation for either of the Bushes but would have tripped or stepped aside when it came to the Clintons.
From what I read and hear, it seems that this is a basic difference between Democratic and Republican presidents and Obama is no different. If you need proof of Obama’s disrespect for the military that goes beyond his recent latte salute, here is a list of the top 30 most disrespectful insults Obama has made to the military, as compiled by Robert Moon of Examiner.com:
“30) Looking past all his civilian aides to order a Marine to hold an umbrella over his head like a butler for an entire speech at the Rose Garden, in violation of military regulations.
29) Forcing race-baiting class warfare propaganda, extreme PC "sensitivity" measures, and Gay Pride Month on soldiers.
28) Taking credit for the success of the surge he opposed in Iraq.
27) Taking credit for the success of the interrogation policies he opposed that located Osama bin Laden.
26) Skipping the funeral of the highest-ranking officer to be killed on foreign soil in over 40 years (Major-General Harold J. Greene), to play golf.
25) Smearing veterans as potential domestic terrorists.
24) Trying to make wounded veterans cover their own medical treatment through private health insurance plans, which would inevitably end up increasing their out-of-pocket costs.
23) Blaming our troops for the Taliban attacking them...for everything from objecting to pedophilia and advocating women's rights, to not wearing latex gloves while handling Korans and walking in front of Muslims while they are praying.
22) Rushing in to misrepresent the Ft. Hood massacre that killed 13 soldiers (one whom was pregnant) as mere "workplace violence."
21) Giving captured terrorists at Gitmo (who are drenched in soldiers' blood) a $750,000 soccer field, cable TV, entertainment, classes in painting, etc., while stripping away benefits for soldiers at every turn.
20) Ordering federal agencies to make the sequester cuts as painful as possible for the American people, which ended up cutting tuition assistance for soldiers and increasing other college costs for the Armed Forces across the board.
19) Denying veterans from all over the country access to the WWII Memorial in Washington over a staged government shutdown while allowing illegal immigrants to hold a political rally on closed federal grounds.
18) Cutting military health care benefits and pensions while increasing spending on unionized federal bureaucrats (Obama voters).
17) Ignoring a former Marine frivolously imprisoned in Mexico on trumped up weapons charges.
16) Using soldiers to help a terror-sponsoring dictator fight off outraged civilian protesters.
15) Purging the military of oath-keeping constitutionalists.
14) Imposing draconian cuts to the things we are actually supposed to be spending tax dollars on under the Constitution (like the military), while exploding spending on things the Federal Government has no authority to even be involved in, like Obama's trillion-dollar health care takeover.
13) Silencing and criminalizing Christianity in the military.
12) Banning time-proven interrogation techniques and insisting on treating foreign terrorists as mere common criminals to be tried in American courts, as civilians.
11) Suppressing military votes.
10) Imposing ludicrous rules of engagement on our troops that have needlessly gotten many soldiers killed.
9) Appeasing our enemies, backing down after drawing "red lines" in the sand, betraying our allies, and dismantling our missile defenses...all of which needlessly endangers our troops.
8) Cutting troops down to pre-WWII levels, and then allowing illegal immigrants into the military.
7) Allowing veterans to die on secret waiting lists at VA hospitals all over the country, after being warned about the manipulated numbers and obscene delays in care (welcome to 'universal health care') back in 2008.
6) Abandoning three decorated veterans and a U.S. ambassador to be dragged through the streets and tortured to death by bloodthirsty Islamic savages in Benghazi, and then falsely blaming it on Americans having the right to disagree with Islam in public.
5) Releasing numerous terrorists back onto the streets so they could return and attack our soldiers, including one who ended up becoming the leader of ISIS.
4) Releasing five major terrorist leaders to appease the Taliban into releasing one America-hating deserter.
3) Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq while handing Afghanistan back to the Islamic fundamentalists who facilitated 9/11 (the Taliban).
2) Openly funding and arming Islamic terrorists.
1) Endlessly trampling the Constitution that soldiers are sworn to defend and attacking the rights they fight, bleed, and die to protect.”
Thank you Robert Moon for compiling this list for us. When read through this list, it’s obvious that Barack Obama has no business to be Commander-in-Chief of our military. He should be charged with dereliction of duty, failure to obey orders (US Constitution and Congress) and treason (as defined by Article 3, Section 3 of the US Constitution). If not shot for his crimes against the military, nation and American people, Barack Obama should be imprisoned, the key thrown away and door welded shut!

Rate decisions by the Bank of Japan, Bank of England and the Reserve Bank of Australia and the release of minutes of the last FOMC meeting are the major G10 central bank events in the upcoming week, while rate setting meetings in Indonesia and Poland will also be keenly watched.
None of the developed market economies in the list are likely to alter the key rates this time and so are the emerging market ones.
The FOMC minutes and the policy statements by the G10 apex banks will be the most watched in the forex market for interest rate cues and exchange rate outlook.
The dollar rally in recent months will most likely be a common topic of discussion for almost all the central banks scheduled to announce their credit policies this week.
The big jump in the dollar will affect emerging markets as the cost of local assets will increase for a foreigner who makes payment in dollars, triggering imported inflation in most such countries.
At the same time, the fall in currencies like the Australian dollar is likely to help offset the impact of the drop in the prices of commodities, traders say.
The BoJ will decide the rates at 3:00pm on Tuesday and the RBA half an hour later. The BoJ rate now is 0.1% and that of the RBA 2.5%.
Both the announcements will follow press conferences by the heads of the banks.
The fact that the yen is trading at a six-year low and the Aussie dollar at an eight-month low will provide the respective central banks some cushion as a stronger domestic currency could weaken their export outlook.
The BoE will set rates on 9 October and the consensus is for keeping the rate at 0.5%.
Indonesia is expected to keep the main rate at 7.5% on Tuesday while Poland may leave it at 2.5% on Wednesday.
If the FOMC minutes due on 8 October add up to the jobs data on Friday, the greenback will move up further.
Speeches by former Fed Chair Ben Bernanke at various events from 7 September to 9 September in and around Bangalore will also be watched.

The ECB monthly report on Thursday and the Bank of Canada business outlook survey for the third quarter scheduled the next day will be among the key releases after the rate decisions.

But measures already taken by the Chinese authorities to internationalise the renminbi, and a big increase in financial market interest in the currency, increasingly point towards a broadening of the SDR’s composition from January 2016. This is in spite of the renminbi’s formal inconvertibility, reflecting Beijing’s restrictions on capital account transactions that are highly unlikely to be completely scrapped in the foreseeable future. An additional factor building momentum towards revitalising the SDR is China’s own action to galvanise major emerging market economies towards the reform of world monetary arrangements. This includes the five nation Brics group’s decision to set up the New Development Bank in Shanghai, partly as a challenge to the Bretton Woods institutions, the IMF and the World Bank. Inclusion of the renminbi in the SDR basket, although ostensibly a technical step, would confer upon the Chinese unit the de facto standing of a reserve currency, a highly important symbolic development and the first time that an emerging market currency would attain this status. The IMF will undertake a technical criteria-based review of the options for widening the SDR in a review next year, with most of the work to be conducted from mid-year onwards and any changes taking effect in January 2016. The main conditions are that a currency in the SDR should be widely used in trade invoicing and should be ‘freely usable’ in international payments and asset management. Other possible indicators include use of currencies in international debt securities and bank liabilities, and foreign exchange spot market turnover. In all these areas the renminbi, although affected by residual capital account restrictions, has made impressive strides in the last two years. Next year’s planned review, five years after the last IMF analysis of the SDR’s composition, may touch too on the opportunity for the currency basket to play a greater role in financial markets, for example in denominating bond issues or certificates of deposit. In view of worldwide interest in the renminbi, repositioning and redynamising the SDR by including a leading emerging market currency could encourage greater interest in SDR-denominated instruments by banks, corporations, asset managers and other institutions around the world. SDR bond issues, which made an entrance in the early 1980s, have never achieved much support on financial markets. The IMF created the SDR in 1969 as an additional reserve asset (in addition to the main official assets, the dollar and gold, which were then regarded as in short supply) to support the post-war fixed exchange rate system that collapsed only a few years later, in 1971-73. The SDR’s value was initially defined as equivalent to 0.888671 grams of fine gold – which, at the time, was $1. After the collapse of the Bretton Woods system the SDR was redefined as a basket of currencies. Today it consists of the four main reserve currencies. The SDR’s aim was to create a potential claim on the freely usable currencies of IMF members through voluntary exchanges between members. Countries with strong external accounts were empowered to purchase SDRs from members with weak external positions. However, from the early 1970s onwards, flows of private capital rose progressively, and the SDR’s importance gradually declined. As a result of developments over the next 12 months, it may be able to make a comeback.

2. JC Collins >>  Dee, this is a loaded subject and not easy to segment into comprehensible and digestible parts. But lets try.

The significance of Saturn is found in the principles of transformation. Or lack thereof. Saturn is not only the 6th planet but it also represents the cube, or the black cube from which the material world is given form.

I would direct readers back to the beginning of the post SDR’s and the New Bretton Woods Part Five. And reread it in light of what we are discussing here.

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn and as we know Capricorn is half goat and half man. In the post Reflections of Perceptions I mentioned how the goats in the story Three Billy Goats Gruff were in fact the first three degrees of masonic initiation. The purpose of the goats was to cross the bridge to the lush grazing fields on the other side.

The bridge of course represents our journey to obtain heaven, or transform ourselves into the physical immortal body. This transformation accounts for the long years of life as detailed in the bible.

The pagan Pan, who is half goat and half man also represents Capricorn, and as such is a symbol of Saturn. Pan had horns and this is likely were the Christian concept of horns and Satan comes from.

What everyone seems to miss with Pan is that he appears as if he is stuck in the middle of a transformation. Half goat, half man, a representative of the heavens, but unable to escape his animal desires.

Pan played a flute which symbolizes the “music of the spheres” and it is through a method of light vibration that matter comes into existence.

In the story titled The Sentinal by Arthur C. Clarke, consciousness in primitive man is brought about by the sudden appearance of a black rectangle, which also has six sides.

 In the future man again encounters a black rectangle sentinal orbiting around Saturn. Man journey’s to Saturn and the main character, upon entering the rectangle, is transformed into what is called the Star Child. Perhaps this is his physical immortal self. The transformation is complete.

In the movie version directed by Eyes Wide Shut director Stanley Kubrick, titled 2001: A Space Odyssey, the planet Saturn is replaced with Jupiter, the star that didn’t ignite, but all other factors of the story remain the same. It is interesting to note that in astrology Saturn and Jupiter stand in opposition to each other.

The significance of the 6’s is symbolic of the cube, which represents the construct of the material world. As consciousness, we are held within the physical and the path inward to move outward is not very clear. The 666 of the bible simply represents man, or man’s imprisonment within the material world.

Saturn represents the initiation aspect, which isn’t easy or achieved by many, to release their consciousness from the material world while developing, or rebuilding, their temple, which is the physical immortal body.

Saturn eating his children is symbolic of the failure and repeated attempts to complete this transformation. As is represented by the simi-solid state of the planet.

The rings of course represent the magic circle, which acts as the symbolic womb, from which the cube is manifested. Remember how we have been discussing the brain as an embryo attempting to become?

Now think of all the halos around heads in ancient art. Like all things there are multiple purposes, and the halos represent the sun, but they also represent a womb which holds the embryo attempting to become.

So to answer your question, Saturn represents our failed attempts at transformation. It all sounds more complicated than it really is. The use of the term “magic circle” in the briefing likely is a veiled connection to our attempts at transformation. Think of base metals and gold, the process of alchemy where base metal is turned into gold.

This is also describing this transformation. And of course gold represents a store of wealth with wealth being our time and labor in the material world.
