The US Treasury has recently opened an inquiry about the so-called “Islamic State’s” (ISIS/ISIL) use of large numbers of brand-new Toyota trucks. 

The issue has arisen in the wake of Russia’s air operations over Syria and growing global suspicion that the US itself has played a key role in arming, funding, and intentionally perpetuating the terrorist army across Syria and Iraq.

ABC News in their article, “US Officials Ask How ISIS Got So Many Toyota Trucks,” reports:

U.S. counter-terror officials have asked Toyota, the world’s second largest auto maker, to help them determine how ISIS has managed to acquire the large number of Toyota pick-up trucks and SUVs seen prominently in the terror group’s propaganda videos in Iraq, Syria and Libya, ABC News has learned. 

Toyota says it does not know how ISIS obtained the vehicles and is “supporting” the inquiry led by the Terror Financing unit of the Treasury Department — part of a broad U.S. effort to prevent Western-made goods from ending up in the hands of the terror group.

The report went on to cite Iraqi Ambassador to the US, Lukman Faily:

“This is a question we’ve been asking our neighbors,” Faily said. “How could these brand new trucks… these four wheel drives, hundreds of them — where are they coming from?”

Not surprisingly, it appears the US Treasury is asking the wrong party. Instead of Toyota, the US Treasury’s inquiry should have started next door at the US State Department.

Mystery Solved 

Just last year it was reported that the US State Department had been sending in fleets of specifically Toyota-brand trucks into Syria to whom they claimed was the “Free Syrian Army.”

US foundation-funded Public Radio International (PRI) reported in a 2014 article titled, “This one Toyota pickup truck is at the top of the shopping list for the Free Syrian Army — and the Taliban,” that:

Recently, when the US State Department resumed sending non-lethal aid to Syrian rebels, the delivery list included 43 Toyota trucks.

Hiluxes were on the Free Syrian Army’s wish list. Oubai Shahbander, a Washington-based advisor to the Syrian National Coalition, is a fan of the truck.

“Specific equipment like the Toyota Hiluxes are what we refer to as force enablers for the moderate opposition forces on the ground,” he adds. Shahbander says the US-supplied pickups will be delivering troops and supplies into battle. Some of the fleet will even become battlefield weapons..

The British government has also admittedly supplied a number of vehicles to terrorists fighting inside of Syria.

 The British Independent’s 2013 article titled, “Revealed: What the West has given Syria’s rebels,” reported that (emphasis added):

So far the UK has sent around £8m of “non-lethal” aid, according to official papers seen by The Independent, comprising five 4×4 vehicles with ballistic protection; 20 sets of body armour; four trucks (three 25 tonne, one 20 tonne); six 4×4 SUVs; five non-armoured pick-ups; one recovery vehicle; four fork-lifts; three advanced “resilience kits” for region hubs, designed to rescue people in emergencies; 130 solar powered batteries; around 400 radios; water purification and rubbish collection kits; laptops; VSATs (small satellite systems for data communications) and printers.

It’s fair to say that whatever pipeline the US State Department and the British government used to supply terrorists in Syria with these trucks was likely used to send additional vehicles before and after these reports were made public. 

The mystery of how hundreds of identical, brand-new ISIS-owned Toyota trucks have made it into Syria is solved. Not only has the US and British government admitted in the past to supplying them, their military forces and intelligence agencies ply the borders of Turkey, Jordan, and even Iraq where these fleets of trucks must have surely passed on their way to Syria – even if other regional actors supplied them. 

While previous admissions to supplying the vehicles implicates the West directly, that nothing resembling interdiction operations have been set up along any of these borders implicates the West as complicit with other parties also supplying vehicles to terrorists inside of Syria.

What Mystery? 

Of course, much of this is not new information. So the question remains – why is the US Treasury just now carrying on with this transparent charade? Perhaps those in Washington believe that if the US government is the one asking this obvious question of how ISIS has managed to field such an impressive mechanized army in the middle of the Syrian desert, no one will suspect they had a role in it.

Of course, the trucks didn’t materialize in Syria. They originated outside of Syria and were brought in, and in great numbers, with the explicit knowledge and/or direct complicity of the US and its regional allies. Asking Toyota where the US State Department’s own trucks came from is another indication of just how lost US foreign policy, legitimacy, and credibility has become.

Russia’s intervention, and what should become a widely supported anti-terror coalition must keep in mind the criminality of the US and its partners when choosing its own partners in efforts to restore security and order across the Middle East and North Africa.

alternate memories… alternate history?

Many people remember islands, land masses, and countries in alternate locations. Some of those memories are startlingly similar.

I discussed this in two previous articles. The first was about Sri Lanka’s location, since that had attracted considerable comment.

The other article was about checking older maps, in case newer maps have been altered for political reasons. I showed the process I’d used to clarify Sri Lanka’s location, then and now.

However, specific countries and land masses seem to recur in our discussions. I’m moving those comments to this newer post, so they’re all in one location. (No pun intended.)

Many of the “altered” locations are around the Indian Ocean, but some are not.  New Zealand and land masses around Korea have been the most surprising (and consistent), so far.


So far, the major location discrepancies seem to relate to:

• Andorra
• Cuba
• Denmark & Sweden – islands nearby
• Korea
• Japan
• Mongolia
• New Zealand
• Oceania (in general)
• Poland
• Portugal
• Sri Lanka (at its own article)

And then there are odd media references, such as the globe in the movie, Dazed and Confused. 

Are they pranks, Easter eggs, or the kinds of references that document a dramatically changing global landscape?

A West Wing clip highlights some issues that make accurate geography challenging.  While this was intended as a humorous scene, some people get lost in the political implications and label this "lineral propaganda."

In the context of alternate geography, political agendas (if there are any) aren’t the point.  History — and how it might continue to influence our maps — is relevant.

 Why are we changing maps?

So, I think we need to look at current maps for modern-day references, and then at old maps to see if our memories are based on them.

People have reported a variety of locations that have moved.

Maybe our “alternate” memories are based on older maps from childhood geography classes, and those maps have been corrected in recent years.

Let’s rule that out, and then dig deeper.

For example, related to our discussion of Sri Lanka’s location — where it is in relation to India — I’d double- check where it is on maps in this timestream.  

The following map is provided courtesy of Google Maps, (c)2013.

 

The next is a topological map, courtesy of Uwe Dedering. 

So, we know where the country is, and what it looks like, on today’s maps in this timestream.

Then, I’d look at old maps of Ceylon, an earlier name for Sri Lanka. I like to go back as far as I can, and then work forward to the 21st century.

The first map is dated around 1535, by Claudius Ptolemy. 

To determine the suggested location, a north-south orientation is needed......  

First, look at where the mountains are, compared with current maps. Then, Indian geographical references must be used.

Based on the mountains, I’d guess that this showed Ceylon southwest of India. (If my reference points are wrong, I didn’t check the smaller islands indicated on that map, and they may suggest a different orientation.)

A map from around 1650 shows only the outline and geography of Ceylon, with no nearby land masses, except very small islands.  So, this map isn’t especially relevant to our study of Ceylon’s location in relation to India.

What caught my interest was how different the shape was, in this map.  I studied where the mountains are indicated, to get a sense of this map’s orientation. (This is one of several illustrations from Plantas das fortalezas, pagodes & ca. da ilha de Ceilão, a book by a cartographer and illustrator.)

Here’s another map from around 1700 – 1710, by Heinrich Scherer. Relative to India, this map suggests the southeast location indicated on maps in our current timestream. (This actual map came from the Maps Collection at the Library of Congress “American Memory” site.)

 

A 1733 map shows the same placement. 

The really old maps are intriguing, but the earlier the map, the more questionable its accuracy.

It looks as if “alternate geography” memories of Sri Lanka’s location aren’t based on 20th century maps that were recently corrected. 

As far back as 1700 — and perhaps earlier — Sri Lanka (Ceylon) was represented at the southeast side of India.

A "1000 year" flood has just occurred on the East Coast and a "1200 year" drought continues to worsen rapidly on the West Coast. In fact record shattering floods and droughts are rapidly accelerating all around the globe. "Official sources", of course, tell the American public that unprecedented weather events are just "natural" and the vast majority unfortunately accept this lie without so much as a second thought. 

Though countless anthropogenic (human) activities have done immense damage to the climate system, the ongoing global climate engineering (weather warfare) insanity is the greatest single disrupting factor of all. 

"100 year" disasters are now occurring every 100 days or less. 

The images below should be carefully examined. The flow of moisture from hurricane Joaquin was manipulated between a clockwise spinning high pressure zone to the north of Joaquin and a counterclockwise spinning low pressure zone to the west of Joaquin. 

There were at least 8 meteorological factors that all had to come together in order to create the fire hose effect that just devastated South Carolina. Even more astounding consideration is that these factors generally remained in place for three consecutive days. 

The spinning vortex from Joaquin helped the climate engineers cover the Northeast with heavily aerosolized SRM cloud canopy.

Hurricane Joaquin was essentially a water pump for the geoengineers and the immense moisture from this source was profoundly focused on a specific region, South Carolina. 

 

 

Does this precipitation map look "natural" to you? The combination of factors required to create such a concentrated flow of moisture over such a distance was completely unprecedented. In a rapidly warming world deluge events would be expected to increase. But it is the intentional manipulation of the climate system that is making some events so concentrated and deadly.  

Record breaking rains inundated South Carolina

Hurricane Joaquin was initially forecasted to make US landfall, in fact, it initially showed many similarities to the initial stages of hurricane "Sandy".  Then, literally overnight, all the "forecasts" changed. Meteorologists stated on the record that hurricane Joaquin was very hard to predict. 

How can the weather be predicted when the climate is being completely manipulated by multiple global powers? Yet, the geoengineering elephant in the room remains a tabu subject in the meteorological and mainstream media communities. 

Meteorologists are paid to explain away the completely engineered weather as "natural", they are covering the tracks for the geoengineers. 

As of October 5, 2015, the path of "Joaquin" was being heavily sprayed with aerosols by jet aircraft as the satellite photos below clearly show.  

 

 

Massive aerosol spraying is clearly visible across the North Atlantic (top center of above image) directly in the path of Joaquin.

Joaquin is heading toward (being steered?) the extremely anomalous cold "blob" in the North Atlantic which has scientists "puzzled". Excessive atmospheric moisture is a necessary component of the chemically nucleated short term cool-downs being carried out around the globe. Could the geoengineers have an agenda to direct this major moisture producing storm to this region? 

Many scientists are already concerned about the effect the "cold blob" is having on the thermohaline circulation (Gulf Stream), could the climate engineers be attempting to actually manipulate this critical ocean current? 

On the opposite side of the US the "forecasts" (scheduled weather) for continued record heat, drought, and fires, are still worsening.  

The map above is a NOAA "departure from normal high temperature graphic. Each color coded band represents 2-3 degrees above "normal" temperatures. If this "forecast" map does not look alarming to you, it should. For the record, private defense industry contractor "Raytheon" does the weather "modeling" for NOAA and NWS (The National Weather Service). Raytheon is involved in the climate engineering industry.

The engineered Western US meltdown continues as the geoengineers attempt to keep the Eastern US cooled down. Though weather "whiplash" of up and down hot and cold events is occurring in the US East, overall cooler temps in the eastern half of the US lower 48 are so anomalous that scientists (who refuse to acknowledge climate engineering) can't figure it out. 

Even Major University scientists have questioned how the Eastern US can be anomalously cool in a record warm world. 

How is it possible that the Eastern US has remained cooler overall during the last 3 years? This is in spite of the fact that high temperature records continue to be shattered all over the globe? 

The graphic above is an NOAA "departure from normal precipitation" map. Along with the record heat, far below normal rainfall is also forecasted (scheduled) for the already drought devastated California. The contradictions of precipitation reflected in this "forecast" map are a further reflection of the ongoing total manipulation of the climate system.

 

As 2014 ended the California drought was considered the worse in at least 1200 years and it has gotten much worse since. If all available data is taken into account, the particular case of the California drought must be considered a direct consequence of the ongoing geoengineering/solar radiation management programs. 

Climate engineering is weather warfare, nothing less. 

Record shattering rainfall and record shattering drought are rapidly increasing around the globe. The highly toxic fallout from the ongoing jet aircraft aerosol spraying means that climate engineering must also be considered biological warfare. 

I receive many communications from people around the world asking "where can I move to in order to escape these programs"? Answer, there is no place to hide. We have only one choice, to unite in our efforts to expose and halt the climate engineering insanity.

"If school security guards pack heat, then shooters like the one in Roseburg, Oregon, could not wreak havoc on American school children", said Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.

 

Democrats unleashed a flurry of new gun-control laws in Congress Thursday, and one senator from Connecticut accused Congress of being “an accomplice” in the recent spate of mass shootings at school campuses.

Senate Democrats fortified their efforts with a threat to block other legislation until their gun-control bills are brought to the floor.

And there are a lot of them.

According to Time magazine, the package features a version of an earlier proposal to expand background checks, but now also includes online gun purchases and firearms bought from unlicensed dealers at gun shows.

It also contains a bill announced by Connecticut’s senators last week that would bar gun sales until background checks are complete. Under current law, if a background check is not completed within 72 hours, the sale can be consummated.

Gun Owners of America, one of the nation’s largest gun-rights organizations, agrees, said Larry Pratt, executive director of the group, that something needs to be done to stop mass shootings.

“Congress must act,” he said in an email to WND. “Away with Gun-Free School Zones. Such zones have been the site of all but two of the mass murders in the U.S. since 1950. We join with our Dear Leader in calling for Congress to act.”

Any other type of action would be irresponsible, ineffective and mere pandering to the Democrat base, he said.

Unwelcome in Roseburg?

Meanwhile, it could be a chilly welcome for President Obama when he arrives Friday in Roseburg, Oregon, where many residents believe he is coming to their town solely to politicize the tragic shooting at their local community college.

David Jacques, publisher of the Roseburg Beacon, told Bill O’Reilly Monday the people of Roseburg would not welcome Obama if he came to town to politicize the funerals of the Umpqua College shooting victims.

Chris Harper-Mercer, the 24-year-old son of a white man and black woman who was born in Britain, gunned down eight students and a teacher last week.

Jacques said he is not the only one who is less than excited about the arrival of the president. Community leaders, including Douglas County commissioners, the police chief and local sheriff feel the same way, he said. They do not want Obama to grandstand in Roseburg for political gain on the issue of gun control.

In fact, several thousand people have signed up to attend a rally to protest Obama on Friday. The rally is being organized by a Facebook group called “Not Welcome: Defend Roseburg, Deny Barack Obama.”

According to Douglas County Commissioner Chris Boice, the Umpqua College hero who helped stop the shooter is among those who does not want to see Obama. Chris Mintz, 30, was shot seven times after he jumped into action to save the lives of fellow classmates. He is recovering in a local hospital.

According to Boice:

“I was fortunate enough to go in and visit with Chris Mintz and hear his story and what an amazing young man, just an extremely humble individual. And, when I mentioned to him that the president is coming he was not real excited about getting involved in the political part of this thing either, but humbled by the fact that the president of the United States would be interested in coming to visit him. … My understanding is he hasn’t spoken with anyone from the White House yet and he’s not really interested in doing that. I’m not sure where that stands as off this minute.”

Democrat 'incensed' at lack of action on gun control. Sen Chris Murphy, D-Conn., was "incensed" at the press conference last week when he unveiled his legislation with fellow Connecticut Democrat Sen. Richard Blumenthal, according to Time.

"Congress has become an accomplice in these murders," Murphy said. "We are quietly endorsing this mass slaughter by refusing to act … I don’t care how many members of Congress send out tweets saying they're sorry. You aren’t sorry, you aren't truly sympathetic if you're not willing to act."

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., sees it differently.

Paul argued against making schools gun-free zones, and said schools would fare better if they put stickers on their windows warning potential gunmen to proceed at their peril.

Paul spoke with Iowa radio host Jan Mickelson Tuesday and said it's "sad" how Obama has tried to make the Oregon shooting about guns.

He said the problem is mental illness and that "people are going to places where guns are prohibited."

Paul said it’s also quite possible that a falloff in basic morality is what's behind many of the shootings. He said America was lacking "a certain belief in right and wrong, a certain Christian foundation or religious foundation to our country."

As he has done after past mass shootings, immediately after Thursday's shooting, Obama called for "common sense" gun control measures. That did not resonate with some Roseburg-area residents.

Roseburg residents weigh in

"We do not want him to come, and the veterans don’t want him to come," Patti Sciapiti, who said her husband is involved with the American Legion in Roseburg, told the Register-Guard.

"I don’t want him here because I don’t think it was proper for him to talk about gun control when the tragedy was just happening," Sciapiti told the local newspaper from the parking lot at Mercy Medical Center. "He politicized it; he even said he politicized it. That's just not right. ... He's not welcome."

One man who said he is a military veteran and provided only his first name, Dave, said he doesn't plan to try to see Obama on the visit, calling him "a jerk."

"They have laws on the books now that cover gun control," he said. "They don’t need any more because they already have them. All they got to do is enforce them."

Roseburg is a conservative area more than 160 miles outside of Portland. In 2012, Douglas County residents favored GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney over Obama 61 percent to 34 percent.

The county has 25,751 registered Republican voters and 16,474 registered Democrats, according to the county elections office, the Register reported.

Obama plans to visit Roseburg on Friday during a four-day West Coast visit that had already been scheduled. He is not holding a public event, but rather plans to meet privately with the families of those killed, the White House said.

Roseburg resident Chanty Lytsell offered conditional support for Obama’s visit. Lytsell told the Register she doesn’t object to Obama coming to offer his support to grieving families. But if he is coming to start a political debate, she said, “Don’t bother."

"I can see that he’s coming here maybe because of the fact that he wants to be supportive of our city. But it doesn’t really feel that way,” Lytsell said. “I feel like it’s another political scheme for him. Our town has gone through a lot already, and I don’t think we need the president here for his support.

"We support each other as a community, and that’s what’s important in our community, and we need our time to grieve," she said. "We don't need to listen to what his views are on gun control. That is not what we need to talk about right now."

City releases statement in support of visit

While many residents, the county commissioners and sheriff are on record against the president's visit, the mayor and city council of Roseburg are throwing their arms wide open to embrace him.

"We wish to be clear that Mayor (Larry) Rich, City Council President (Tom) Ryan and the Roseburg City Council welcome the president to Roseburg and will extend him every courtesy," the city said in a statement.

Rod Cotton, a lifelong resident of Roseburg, has lived in the neighborhood directly across from the UCC campus for 25 years. He said he doesn’t mind if the president comes to visit but hopes Obama will narrow the focus of his visit.

"He is the president of the United States, and there are many of his policies that I don’t agree with, but he has every right to come,” Cotton, who describes himself as a political conservative, told the Register-Guard. "There's a lot of negative out there from folks who I don’t think really represent the community as a whole. I think he's sincere about coming to grieve with the folks."

Kimberly Roberts — who attends UCC but was not on campus when the shooting occurred — told the newspaper she believes the president committed a faux pas by politicizing the issue.

"He turned it into such a controversy, and that’s not very intelligent because this community is full of a lot of gun-carrying people," she said. "People are hunters. That’s how they survive. That’s how they live."

TRAMPLING THE NATURAL RIGHT TO SELF-DEFENSE

Hillary would render the Second Amendment a useless dead letter

While the FBI continued to analyze the emails Hillary Rodham Clinton thought she deleted and her advisers pressed her to hire a Republican criminal defense attorney in Washington, a madman used a lawfully purchased handgun to kill a professor and eight students at a community college in Roseburg, Ore. Looking to change the subject away from her emails, Mrs. Clinton was quick to pounce.

She who has ripped into Republicans for seeking political gain from the four American deaths in Benghazi now seeks her own political gain from the dozens of murdered children and young adults in Newtown, Conn., and Roseburg. On the heels of the latter and referring to both tragedies, she launched an emotional attack early this week on the two most recent Supreme Court decisions upholding the personal right to keep and bear arms. She offered to “fix” them should she be elected president.

Her so-called fix consists of a dead-on-arrival

legislative proposal making gun manufacturers financially liable for the misuse of their products and an executive order determining the meaning of certain words used in federal statutes.

The liability-shifting proposal is akin to punishing General Motors whenever a drunken driver misuses his Chevy and injures someone. The courts would surely reject that.
The executive order proposal assaults the Constitution. 

Those in the gun sale business must conduct background checks via computer services offered by the FBI. The background checks look for reports of crimes of violence, domestic violence and mental illness. Private people who occasionally sell their hardware or give guns as gifts are exempt from conducting background checks.

Mrs. Clinton would create a presidentially written and mandated definition of occasional sales and gifts so as to require background checks for all gun transfers — a requirement Congress rejected.

We are 13 months from Election Day 2016, and Mrs. Clinton has already promised that she would rule by pen and phone rather than govern by consensus.

As a lawyer, Mrs. Clinton should know that only the federal courts — not the president — can decide what statutory language means. Moreover, if she knew anything about FBI background checks, she would know that they are only as good as the database on which they rely. If a madman hides his mental illness, no database will reveal it.

Her attacks on the Supreme Court decisions were direct. She rejects their characterization of the right to keep and bear arms as a fundamental right — meaning that it is akin to thought, speech, press, association, worship and travel.

Yet if she were to become president, she would take an oath to uphold the Constitution; that means the Constitution as interpreted by the Supreme Court. The presidential oath of office would require that she execute her duties “faithfully — whether she agrees with the law or constitutional provision or not. She apparently has no intention of fulfilling the presidential oath of office.

We are 13 months from Election Day 2016, and Mrs. Clinton has already promised that she would not enforce Supreme Court decisions with which she disagrees.

What did both the Newtown and the Roseburg tragedies have in common? Both murderers were madmen. Yet neither had a record of mental illness, so the background checks the anti-self-defense lobby loves would not have prevented either of these killers from buying a gun and using it to murder indiscriminately. 

If killers are prepared to murder innocent children, does Mrs. Clinton really think they would obey the laws regulating gun ownership?

Both mass murders occurred in no-gun zones. A no-gun zone is the most dangerous place on the planet when a madman intent on killing enters. No-gun zones are arbitrarily designated on public property by local authorities, stripping law-abiding folks of their lawfully owned guns — their natural right to self-defense — and exposing them to terror and death.

The Constitution does not permit public no-gun zones any more than it does public no-free-speech zones. If the right to keep and bear arms is truly fundamental, the government cannot interfere with it based on geography. 

If the Army veteran-college student who stopped seven bullets with his body last week and saved the lives of his classmates (and survived!) had been permitted to carry a gun into the school building, the madman who murdered nine innocents would have been stopped long before police arrived — long before he completed his killings.

The right to keep and bear arms has more than just the Second Amendment to protect it. By characterizing the right as fundamental and pre-political, the high court accepted the truism that this right is merely a modern extension of the ancient right to self-defense. And the right to defend oneself does not come from the government; it comes from our humanity. It is a natural right.

Who among us, when confronted with the terror of nearly certain annihilation, would concern himself with the niceties of the law? Life itself is at stake. The right to self-defense is a manifestation of the natural instinct for survival, borne in the hearts of all rational people.

But Hillary Rodham Clinton rejects that instinct because she prefers we become dependent upon the government — as long as she is running it.

The police cannot stop mass killings because they cannot be everywhere all the time. And madmen willing to kill do not fear being lawbreakers. 

Guns in the hands of the people give not only tyrants second thoughts, but also madmen.

Even madmen fear an early death.
