“A new report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) reveals that the infamous “Obamaphone” program, meant to provide low-income Americans phone and internet service, is riddled with waste, fraud, and abuse.
A three-year investigation into the controversial Lifeline Program, requested by Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO), says some 10.6 million Americans have an Obamaphone and more than 3.8 million or 36 percent of them may not be eligible.
GAO investigators sampled the program’s population and found that it had been paying for nearly 6,400 phones for people whom the government has listed as deceased; another 5,500 people were enrolled for two phones, and another group of people couldn’t prove they were eligible to receive their free phone.
'A complete lack of oversight is causing this program to fail the American taxpayer — everything that could go wrong is going wrong,’ McCaskill said in a statement.
We’re currently letting phone companies cash a government check every month with little more than the honor system to hold them accountable, and that simply can’t continue.’
Originally conceived during the Reagan administration, Lifeline was initially meant to provide poor people with a phone in case of an emergency or, as time went on, to apply for a job.
Administered by the Federal Communications Commission, Lifeline requires telecommunication companies (At&t, Verizon, Sprint) to pay a percentage of their voice service revenues into a pool called the Universal Service Fund that is administered by an independent nonprofit company called the Universal Service Administrative Company.
Telecom companies pass on the cost of their contributions to consumers, whose monthly bill includes a “universal service fee” charge.
The three-year GAO investigation found that the program has put away more than ‘$9 billion, as of September 2016 outside the Department of the Treasury in a private bank account.’
A spokesman for FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, who had already put the dubious program under review, said the ‘GAO report confirms that waste, fraud, and abuse are all too prevalent in the program.
‘Chairman Pai looks forward to working with his colleagues to crack down on the unscrupulous providers that abuse the program because every dollar that is spent on subsidizing somebody who doesn’t need the help by definition does not go to someone who does,’ Pai’s spokesman added.
In an April interview on Fox Business Network’s Varney & Company, Commissioner Pai said he was told to keep quiet about potential fraud in the Obamaphones program.”This scandal is loaded with embezzlement and fraud.
There’s no way this was just a misplaced accident, but the Deep State will do everything they can to protect these criminals.

The New York Times exploded over an unpublished email alleging Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer during President Donald Trump’s election.
But they’re ignoring the most important fact — Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama did the exact same thing!
The Times’ article, published Monday, caused in uproar from Democrats who think an email from tabloid reporter claiming he helped arrange the meeting is proof Russia worked with the Trump campaign to defeat Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump Jr. acknowledged the meeting took place, drawing attention to the fact that this is nothing new in the realm of politics.
And while the mainstream media could barely catch their breath while attacking the young Trump, they failed to look further into his statement – which checks out as 100% true.
The Clinton campaign worked closely with the Ukrainian government in order to dig up dirt on Trump and his then campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
An operative for the Democratic National Convention, Alexandra Chalupa, used to work in President Bill Clinton’s White House. But she spent her year in 2016 working with Ukrainian officials on an elaborate anti-Trump mission.
She met with Ukranian ambassador Valeriy Chaly and an aid, Oksara Shulyar, in March 2016 at the Ukranian Embassy with the sole purpose of discussing Paul Manafort’s Russian ties.
After gaining all the anti-Trump dirt she could obtain, Chalupa gave this information directly to the DNC and the Clinton campaign, according to Politico.
But it gets worse.
The DNC encouraged Chalupa to meet with Ukranian President Petro Poroshenko to get more information on Manafort. Her meeting request was denied.
And the Clinton campaign wasn’t the only Democratic campaign spinning these tricks.
During President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign in 2008, he had numerous meetings with foreign leaders which resulted in criticism from conservatives, but were naturally ignored in the media.
Obama representative Robert Malley was forced to step down as an informal foreign policy adviser after he admitted to meeting with the terror group Hamas and Iran.
While he stepped down to avoid political controversy during the reelection, Obama was quick to hire him back. He was appointed to lead the Middle East Desk in 2015, and named as special adviser for the Islamic State.
A former consultant for Obama’s national security council, Michael Ledeen, said Obama opened a back channel to Iran during his campaign, meeting with Iranian and Afghani leaders. Ambassador William G. Miller led the communication channel, and confirmed its existence to Ledeen.
Multiple critics argued this was a violation of the Logan Act, which bars citizens from negotiating with foreign governments in dispute with the U.S.
Of course, Obama’s questionable actions went unchecked.
Also during the 2008 election cycle, both Obama and Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney, spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, proving that such foreign communication is not unprecedented.
While the mainstream media attempts to exaggerate Trump Jr.’s meeting, likely for the sake of ratings, he expresses his lack of concern on Twitter.
After a report from The Hill that GOP Senator Susan Collins called for the Senate Intel Committee to question Trump, he tweeted:

While he’s not even close to breaking a sweat of the latest controversy, one thing is certain.

U.S. military plane used for refueling crashed into a soybean field in
rural Mississippi, killing at least 16 people aboard in a fiery wreck
and spreading debris for miles, officials said.
Leflore
County Emergency Management Agency Director Frank Randle told reporters
at a briefing late Monday that 16 bodies had been recovered after the
KC-130 spiraled into the ground about 85 miles north of Jackson in the
Mississippi Delta. A witness said some bodies were found more than a
mile from the crash site.
Marine
Corps spokeswoman Capt. Sarah Burns said in a statement that a KC-130
“experienced a mishap” Monday evening but provided no details. The
KC-130 is used as a refueling tanker.
Though
the KC-130 refueling tanker took off from Marine Corps Air Station
Cherry Point in North Carolina, Marine Capt. John Roberts said the plane
was under the command of the 4th Marine Air Wing, which is part of the
Marine Forces Reserve headquartered in New Orleans.
In a Tuesday morning tweet, President Donald Trump offered condolences.

Clarifications About Bonds and Birth Certificates

1. Individual people don't have to find two qualified guarantors to
complete their own Private Registered Indemnity Bond --- just two Witnesses.
It's better if you can find two such guarantors, but the process can be done one
by one, with a couple living witnesses. To save time and protect property
quickly, you can forego doing your own separate bond for now and place it under
your state's already posted indemnity bond---- "AMRI00001 RA393427640US --
California"-- for example.
2. It takes ninety (90) days for individual bonds to take effect, and it
may take longer than that for the Treasury to process them, because the Treasury
is absolutely swamped.
3. The reason that I recommend that people get their Birth Certificates
verified by the State Secretary of State prior to sending to the Treasury is
related --- the Treasury has to go back and check all the BC's, which adds time
to the processing. You can expedite things by doing this step for them and
producing the already confirmed record.
Oregon Passes Law to Allow Judge to Order Gun Confiscation from Law Abiding Citizens
The state of Oregon is largely run by Communists and Communist
sympathizers. In one of the latest bills, the state claims to give the
right (unlawfully) to a judge to strip law abiding citizens of their
arms and concealed handgun licenses based on the judge's own
determination without any criminal conviction.
According to SB719, which was co-sponsored by Senator Bian Boquist (R-Dallas), a judge can issue an ex parte ruling in order to confiscate a citizen's guns.
The legislation, which has passed both the House and the Senate, now heads to the Governor Kate Brown's desk for her signature.
The bill alleges to create "process for obtaining extreme risk protection order prohibiting person from possessing deadly weapon when court finds that person presents risk in near future, including imminent risk, of suicide or causing injury to another person."
However, under the US Constitution, the rights of the people are not to be infringed under the Second Amendment. Additionally, the Fifth Amendment is to provide the following protections:

Yet, Senator Boquist has the audacity to claim, "Everyone wants to promote this as a gun bill. It’s not.”

The National Rifle Institute for Legislative Action opposed the legislation saying, "Based on a California law enacted in 2014, SB 719A would create a so-called 'Extreme Risk Protection Order' (ERPO) that could be obtained by a law enforcement officer, family member, or household member in an ex parte hearing to deprive someone of their Second Amendment rights without due process of the law."

Provides for law enforcement officer serving order to request immediate surrender of deadly weapons and concealed handgun license and authorizes law enforcement officer to take possession of surrendered items.Again, this is not to obtain evidence to be used in a criminal trial via a warrant. This is a court order to deprive individuals of their right to keep and bear arms without due process of law.

"Under current law, every punitive measure which leads to a prohibition on firearm possession requires some type of judicial process, so people are not arbitrarily deprived of their liberty or their rights. SB 719A is unnecessary and goes far beyond existing law."
