7 Ways The Pioneers Preserved Food Without Electricity

The pioneers knew more than a few tricks to preserve food for the long-term. Any form of food preservation was designed to kill and inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungus and other micro-organisms. It also was designed to prevent the oxidation of fats which could lead to rancidity.

Our pioneer ancestors needed to master these skills for two reasons:

1. The seasons. Summer and fall were times of plenty, but winter and early spring were not. The ability to preserve food to over-winter in many environments was vital to survival.

2. Long journeys. They were traveling across open prairies in a wagon train, traveling on sailing ships to distant shores, traversing mountains with little or no vegetation or wildlife. Long journeys required stores of food that would keep well and not cause sickness due to foodborne illnesses.

Plan Ahead – or Else

You may have heard of the Donner Party. They were pioneers traveling to California who were trapped in the Rocky Mountains during relentless blizzards and cold temperatures. Many slowly starved to death while others resorted to cannibalism. That’s poor planning.

We’re not going to cover the obvious, like canning in mason jars (our pioneer ancestors didn’t have a lot of access to glass or finely crafted metal lids). And they certainly didn’t irradiate foods or use electric dehydrators.

Here are seven ways the pioneers preserved food:

1. Salt. Any civilization living next to a saline or salty body of water had the ability to dehydrate the water and gather salt. In ancient times, it was a valuable commodity and for a while, Roman soldiers were paid their wages with salt.

While we tend to think of salt as a standard seasoning, the value of salt in ancient times was more related to the preservative power of salt. Salt reduces moisture, inhibits bacterial growth and leaves a flavor that’s easy to eat, depending on the salt level. Ships at sea often carried small barrels of pork embedded in a cask of salt or a salt brine. This “salted pork” was standard fare for many people traveling across oceans for long journeys.

Salt is often used in brines to enhance the preservation of fish, fowl and game before drying or smoking, and it’s a standard addition to most pickling recipes and those casks of salted pork.

2. Fat. This may come as a bit of a surprise but fat, especially beef feet or tallow and suet, has exceptional preservative properties. It’s a standard addition to pemmican recipes, which usually involves a 50 percent mix of dried and powdered beef or buffalo and an equal amount of fat plus some raisins or black cherries.

Also, pioneer women would often take cuts of meat and place them into a crock or small barrel and top it with tallow or suet due to its preservative properties. On a fundamental level, the congealed fat is preventing oxygen and airborne microbes from reaching the meat.  It was important to keep any container with these combinations sealed from air.

3. Honey. Good news and bad news about honey. The bad news is that it’s hard to harvest a lot of it, and buying it is expensive. The good news is that it has remarkable preservative properties. In fact, a jar of honey more than 3,000 years old was discovered in an Egyptian tomb, and clinical tests found it to be safe to eat.

Many of our pioneers preserved their most valued cuts of meat in honey and like salt, it added a pleasant taste to the food when eaten.

4. Vinegar. This is perhaps the most potent, natural antiseptic you can safely consume. It’s actually acetic acid and is usually a 4 to 5 percent solution in water. It was also easy to make from various fruits like apples. It was used to preserve everything from vegetables to fruits to meats, fish and fowl.

The typical process involved immersing the food in vinegar in a cask or container, and sometimes salt was added for flavor and additional preservative qualities.

5. Drying or dehydration. This is probably the oldest food preservation technique. It was used to preserve everything from vegetables to fruits and of course meats, fish and fowl.

The critical success factor with drying foods is to remove as much moisture as possible.

• Beans or legumes were often strung on sticks and hung in the rafter of a cabin or tepee to air dry.
• Fish were filleted and often salted before being hung in the sun on racks or over smoldering fires.
• Strips of meat from game were sliced thin, salted if possible and also hung in the sun or over a fire to dry.
• Fruits were sliced thin and left to dry in the sun and taken indoors at night to continue the drying. They were turned often and sometimes smoked. They, too, were hung on sticks in the rafters at times.

6. Root cellar. This is all about preserving vegetables such as carrots, beets, turnips, radishes, potatoes and parsnips. This approach provides multiple benefits:

• Fairly consistent temperatures in winter and summer.
• Consistent humidity, which is beneficial to root vegetables.
• Protection from insects and animals, to some degree.
• Protection from sunlight.
• Easy access to a variety of vegetables
• Smoking fish, fowl and game over a low and slow draft of smoke in an enclosed space not only dried out the food, but the smoke and moderate heat both killed and inhibited bacterial and fungal growth.

7. Smoking. Smoking over a period of a month or more also allowed larger cuts of meat and whole fish to be successfully dried and preserved, rather than the thin strips usually cut for traditional drying methods.  The meat or fish were sometimes cured with either a dry cure of salt crystals or in a brine.

Even after removal from the smoke house, large pieces of smoked meats would last a long time if kept in a well-ventilated and cool and dark place. Parma hams in Italy hang for months and months in the cool towers of buildings after careful brining and smoking.

Conclusion

Do more research about food preservation and if in doubt, throw it out. Our pioneer ancestors learned the hard way about what worked and didn’t work.

Thanksgiving September 21st and Nov 9th 1621

The Pilgrims’ 1st Thanksgiving Meal Included … Seal & Eagle?

The first Thanksgiving – at least, the one involving the Pilgrims — is believed to have occurred over a period of three days, sometime between Sept. 21 and Nov. 9 in 1621.

The feast occurred on a Pilgrim plantation at the Plymouth colony in Massachusetts, and was attended by 53 Pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag Indians. Reportedly, the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag expressed thanks for the animals, fruits and vegetables they were consuming. This is actually a tradition with Native-Americans, who would always thank an animal or plant for surrendering their life so that they may live.

The Pilgrims were grateful to God, not only for the bounty they had collected but for the Wampanoag who had helped them survive on the brink of starvation and who peacefully co-existed with them for 50 years.

The Pilgrims did not have wood-burning cook stoves. All cooking was done over an open fire, either in cast iron pots and pans, or roasted on spits or suspended next to the fire. Dutch ovens were used for basic baking and braising. There also were some foods cooked in hot ashes, which was a technique they learned from the Wampanoags.

Boiling, steaming and frying were the cooking styles of choice, and both duck fat and goose fat were highly prized for a number of dishes. Butter was a scarce and precious commodity, as was milk.

Seasonings were limited, although sea salt and certain herbs like liverwort and some other aromatic herbs like ramps (wild chives) and purslane were used.

What Was Not On The Table

The foods consumed were indigenous or natural to the Massachusetts area in the 1600s. As a result, there were some plants and animals that didn’t show up on the menu:

• Potatoes. There simply were no potatoes growing in North America at that time. No white potatoes, sweet potatoes or red potatoes. Potatoes grew in South America, and it wasn’t until the Spanish brought them to Europe that they eventually made their way to North America.
• Cranberry sauce. Cranberries did, in fact, grow in bogs around Massachusetts, but the sauce we know today was not made. Cranberry sauce requires a lot of sugar, and the Pilgrim’s supply of sugar was nearly exhausted. Honey was too precious for something as basic as a cranberry sauce.
• Dessert. Again, there simply was not enough sugar.
• Turkey. Well, maybe not. (The meat of choice was deer.) Wild turkeys inhabited the region, but other types of fowl took center stage, including ducks, geese, pheasants, pigeons and even cranes, swans and get this … eagles.
• Bread. At least, not much of it. There were some breads at the table, but mostly sourdough and cornbread. The sourdough was referred to as “cheate” bread by the Pilgrims. The sourdough was baked as a round loaf, probably in a Dutch oven. The cornbread was a gift from the Wampanoag, from a variety of corn referred to as “flint” corn — a yellow corn that was allowed to dry on the plant and was then ground into a flour or corn meal.
• Salt but no pepper. Given the proximity of the Plymouth colony to the ocean, sea salt was in abundance, but pepper was missing in action. Pepper was a very exotic and expensive spice at the time.

What WAS On The Table

So, what did the menu look like? The only foods recorded in history were deer and fowl. In addition, fish, seafood and even seal likely were served. The vegetables tended to be rustic and traditional but very familiar to us. There was fruit, as well as some simple breads.

Let’s have some fun with this and look at the First Thanksgiving in a traditional menu format, with a description of the ingredients and how the dishes were prepared. These were the actual foods served at the First Thanksgiving, with traditional ingredients and a traditional preparation style.

Ye Olde Thanksgiving Menu

Appetizers:

Assorted nuts consisting of acorns, walnuts and chestnuts roasted over an open fire in a cast-iron pan and lightly salted with sea salt.

A mix of wild plums and grapes with blueberries, gooseberries and wild black raspberries.

Seal kebobs cut into chunks and slowly roasted on skewers over coals and served with sea salt.

Raw oysters on the half shell served with an herbed vinegar

Surf and surf combination of lobsters and clams boiled in salt water and served with herbed goose fat.

Mussels with curds. The mussels are boiled in sea water, shelled and then mixed with curds until the curds gently melt.

Starters:

Vegetable soup

A soup made with sea salt in sea water and a medley of sliced onions, parsnips, carrots, leeks and cabbage and topped with duck fat.

Clam chowder

We start with shucked clams and gently simmer in our limited and precious milk, onions, leeks and then thicken with corn meal and season with sea salt and garnish with chopped spinach leaves.

Mixed green salad

A salad of dandelion greens, plantain leaves, various lettuces, spinach and peas with a dressing made from vinegar and duck fat and a sprinkle of sea salt all topped with chopped liverwort greens.

Ye Main Meal

Venison

Venison steaks roasted over an open-fire on a spit and served with a brown-blueberry sauce.

Pan-roasted venison sautéed in a cast iron pan over an open fire with caramelized onions and vinegar.

Braised venison

Cuts of venison from the rump, brisket and shoulders are cut into chunks and flowered in corn meal and then browned in goose fat with onions, carrots and some sea water in a Dutch oven until tender.

Fowl

(All fowl dishes are served with an optional stuffing or a “pudding in the belly” made from corn meal, onions, cranberries, herbs, vinegar and sea salt

Pheasant

Spit-roasted pheasant roasted on a spit over open coals and basted with duck fat and sea salt.

Braised goose

Cut-up goose braised with onions, parsnips, carrots and cranberries in a Dutch oven.

Wild turkey

Spit-roasted wild turkey roasted between two beds of hot coals and basted with a sea water, vinegar blend.

Boiled eagle

Cut-up eagle boiled with onions and herbs in a pot of salt water and then quickly seared over open coals.

Pigeons in a pan

Pigeons in a pan with onions and carrots sautéed in a cast iron frying pan in goose fat and duck fat are then topped with roasted and chopped black walnuts.

Hot coal-roasted swan

The swan is set beside a fire vertically on stakes and turned from time to time to cook the meat through. It’s basted with a blend of duck and goose fat and seasoned with sea salt and served whole on a large plank.

Cod

Cod either boiled with onions, roasted over coals or wrapped in grape leaves and simmered in hot ashes.

Sea bass

Whole grilled sea bass basted with duck fat over open coals and topped with sea salt and chopped herbs and spinach.

Sides

Stuffed pumpkin

We start by hollowing out a pumpkin and then filling it with chunks of pumpkin, milk, honey and spices and then wrap in boiled grape leaves and cook in ashes until done. It’s served from the pumpkin as a bowl and has the consistency of a custard.

Boiled onions

Onions are peeled, quartered and boiled with raisins, sugar, egg and vinegar until tender.

Squash mash

A variety of squashes from butternut to acorn to pumpkin cut into chunks and boiled until tender and then mashed with honey, cinnamon, cloves and a touch of sea salt.

Mixed vegetables

An assortment of vegetables including carrots, parsnips, onions, spinach, peas, and a blend of chopped herbs all gently boiled and topped with sea salt.

Flint-corn mush

A combination of ground flint corn gently boiled in milk and seasoned with either sea salt or honey.

Boiled spinach

Spinach leaves boiled in sea water and drained and then topped with duck fat and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Your choice of sourdough “cheate” bread or cornbread

I don’t know about you, but it all sounds pretty good — although I might take a pass on the boiled eagle. There’s a hefty fine and they are never in season these days.

If you want to try one of these recipes, the menu is pretty self -explanatory with ingredients and cooking style. This was a very rustic, simple and direct type of cooking. 

There were no meat thermometers to tell you when something was done; the usual shake on the drumstick of any bird would tell you it’s done when it feels loose and the juices run clear.

Fish was easy enough to evaluate when the fish was opaque and flaked, and most boiling and braising methods would indicate doneness with a simple slice and a taste.

You may or may not want to toss one of these recipes on your Thanksgiving table, but even if you don’t, you can always throw a cold plate of plums, grapes and berries out there to remember that first Thanksgiving.

Hundreds Of Veterans Heading To Standing Rock To Defend DAPL Protesters From Police

As protesters continue to stand against the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota, facing off against heavily militarized police and their water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas, and tasers, they have gained broad support. Celebrities and millions of social media users have raised awareness about the situation in North Dakota, and now, the “water protectors” have earned support from another group: veterans.

According to an article published by Business Insider that first appeared in Task and Purpose, a military-oriented news and culture site, two veterans are leading the charge in a show of dissent against the increasingly aggressive police. In the last several months, tensions have escalated as Natives and their allies have blocked the pipeline’s construction, citing fears surrounding water will be endangered and sacred burial sites will be destroyed (not to mention the fact their lands were forcibly stolen by the U.S. government over a century ago).

“This country is repressing our people,” says Michael A. Wood Jr., a Marine Corps veteran who recently retired from the Baltimore police force to work toward reforming law enforcement. “If we’re going to be heroes, if we’re really going to be those veterans that this country praises, well, then we need to do the things that we actually said we’re going to do when we took the oath to defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic,” he asserted about his plans to go to Standing Rock.

Woods Jr. is joined by Wes Clark Jr. Clark Jr. is the son of General Wesley Clark, the famous military leader who once warned that shortly after 9/11, the government had its eyes on Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran. Clark would later attempt to distance himself from those statements but still managed to convince his son, a member of the Army at the time, to stay away from Iraq.

“I was like, ‘I’m going back in. I’m going to go in there and fuck people up,’” Clark Jr. recalls of his desire to fight for the military after 9/11. He later changed his mind after his father warned him, as Task and Purpose summarized, “that as a soldier he would be fighting a war that had nothing to do with defeating al Qaeda.”

Now, Wood Jr. and Clark Jr. are attempting to organize a mass, nonviolent protest against police action in North Dakota. Just this past weekend, a female protester was hit with a concussion grenade, causing severe damage to her arm and requiring surgery.

Other have been tear gassed, tased, beaten, and shot with rubber bullets. Anti-Media journalist Derrick Broze was tased by law enforcement immediately after he declared he was a member of the media. Another journalist was shot with a rubber bullet while standing away from a gathering of protesters as she interviewed an attendee.

Police have made over 470 arrests since August, and the Indigenous Environmental Network claims 167 people were injured just this past Sunday when police deployed water cannons in freezing weather.

Clark, a contributor to the Young Turks, explained that aside from the flagrant violations protesters are subject to in North Dakota, Natives are especially deserving of veteran support:

“First Americans have served in the Unites States Military, defending the soil of our homelands, at a greater percentage than any other group of Americans. There is no other people more deserving of veteran support,” he said.

According to a Facebook event the two men created called “Veterans Stand for Standing Rock,” those who join the effort will arrive at the protest site on December 4, where they will stay until December 7.
The event description reads:

“Come to Standing Rock Indian Reservation and hold the line with Wes Clark jr, Michael Wood Jr, Tulsi Gabbard and hundreds of other veterans in support of the Sioux nation against the DAPL pipeline. Bring Body armor, gas masks, earplugs AND shooting mufflers (we may be facing a sound cannon) but no drugs, alcohol or weapons.”

Clark Jr. was clear he was not looking for violence and that the protest would be unarmed.

“We’re not going out there to get in a fight with anyone,” he said. “They can feel free to beat us up, but we’re 100% nonviolence.”

As Task and Purpose explained:

“With an eye toward the media, old military uniforms will be donned so that if the veterans are brutalized by the police, they are brutalized not as ordinary citizens, but as people who once served the government they are protesting against.”

The event page makes it clear that the group will not tolerate “hate, violence or divisive behavior of any kind.”

“We’re doing this to support our country,” they advise, “so let’s do it with honor, working together. We can stop this savage injustice being committed right here at home. If not us, who? If not now, when?”

Over 250 veterans have already committed, but organizers hope to have a group of 500 or more by the time they head to Standing Rock.
Once there, the  veterans intend to engage in a traditional native healing ceremony with protesters, with whom they have been coordinating, according to the veterans. Then, protective gear like gas masks and body armor will be issued to anyone who needs it. The soldiers will march to bagpipes and Sioux war songs as they head to the banks of the Missouri River to meet police.

“Then, the veterans and their allies — or at least the ones who are brave enough — will lock arms and cross the river in a ‘massive line’ for their ‘first encounter’ with the ‘opposing forces.’”

Though the veterans have adopted a strict policy of nonviolence, they refuse to back down and apparently hope to use their military status to spotlight the egregious behavior of the police.

“We’ll have those people who will recognize that they’re not willing to take a bullet, and those who recognize that they are,” says Wood Jr. “It’s okay if some of them step back, but Wes and I have no intention of doing so.”

Mainstream Media Corruption --- Tell Donald Trump

Today I read a story by Jon Rappoport, one of the few journalists left alive in the world. In it he described a meeting between President-Elect Trump and the major media Talking Heads and Svengalis in which Trump openly called them liars.

Well, they are liars.  Might as well say so, right? 

They lie about everything that it is possible to lie about, to the detriment of this country and the world.  They pass off their narrow opinions as fact.  They routinely misrepresent what is actually going on.  They pander to politicians and manipulate voters to the extent that they can.  They violate--- with aplomb and arrogance -- every existing known standard of journalistic honor and professionalism.

Mainstream Media in America is 90% owned by six foreign multinational media conglomerates and we have allowed this to go on.

What country in its right mind allows its media to be owned by foreigners?

That's question Number One.

Why aren't we forcing the sale of our media infrastructure back to American control and busting these foreign-owned and operated monopolies?

That is question Number Two. 

And who is paying these weasels to lie to us?

That is question Number Three.

All three of these questions need to be brought forward to President-Elect Trump's attention, because it isn't just a simple matter of fact that these media moguls are liars (which they are), but also a matter of why are they liars?

The corruption of American media began long ago, during the Civil War, when the first quid pro quo "arrangements" were made between the media and the Union government, and continued through the Second World War, during which casualty estimates were religiously underestimated and news reports were routinely delayed and tweaked to "maintain morale" or quashed completely for "national security" concerns.

In fact, if Donald Trump cares to look into the history of it all, he will find that the American Media has been under a de facto gag order and under the control of the DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (yet another separate, privately owned and operated "federal" contractor) since 1946.

So they couldn't tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, even if that is what the weasels wanted to do in the first place.

You would think that as long as the DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE is taking responsibility for the content of our news, it would at least set rational standards and mandate truthful reporting of matters outside its sphere of direct concern---- body counts, foreign invasions, pollution of other countries, drug running by military subcontractors, aka, commercial mercenaries, etc., excepted----- but, no, the jackals in charge have shown no such moderation.

The purpose of our national media along with so much else that is crucial to our functioning has been redefined.  Their actual job apart from keeping us in the dark concerning what the US military is doing and how they are doing it, is to sell us goods and services provided by the "federal government" and its franchises and affiliates.

This is why some companies boom and others go bust.  This is why the corporate executives fall over themselves to buy $50,000 a plate dinner reservations at political fundraising events.

Payola.

Big time payola.

I told the story before of how I and my husband and a group of friends tracked "news" stories on the major networks back in the 1980's and found out that 95% of what we were being fed was (1) not really news and (2) concerned only two subjects--- sex and death. 

Why would multi-billion dollar businesses subjected to government regulation and gag orders serve no legitimate functions or purposes?  Why just story after story about sex and/or death?

The quick answer is that sex arouses our senses and gets our appetites churning so that biologically we are prepared to buy and fear of death however subtly invoked provides a sense of urgency to do so. 

Next time you find yourself staring at a Big Mac on your widescreen TV or an ice cold bottle of Coca-Cola, know for a fact that you are being played--- and that the "news" stories you've been receiving have served to set you up. 

Same thing with all the advertising for drugs, services, and everything else.  The major media organizations are actually not news or information services--- they are full-on, 24/7 marketing networks.  Their job isn't to inform you.  Their job is to sell you things---- and to sell you things (including government services) that probably aren't good for you and which you probably don't really need--- but which benefit their stockholders and subscribers.

That is what the one-time profession of journalism has been reduced to, and we must lament that the Fourth Estate is no more---- at least not on the public airwaves that belong to us, which are being commandeered and used for selfish private purposes by the government services corporations and all their political hangers-on.

As part of his transition Mr. Trump has set up a website to solicit our ideas on how to make America "Great Again"----- let's start with reforming the media sources in this country, shall we?

Here's my first suggestion:

1. Bust the foreign media monopolies. Break them up like Reagan busted Ma Bell. No monopoly of our business sectors should be allowed, either by foreign or domestic interests, and there is certainly no sense in allowing our media sources to be commandeered and dominated and monopolized by foreign conglomerates.

2. Require formal Notice of foreign ownership of newspapers, radio, television, and other forms of media every time these programs and printed products are aired orissued by foreign owned and/or foreign operated media corporations.  

3. Put an end to the de facto DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE gag orders. If our military is doing something dirty, we need to know as soon as the rest of the world knows.

4. Promote (and if possible, legislatively mandate) American control and ownership of all major media sources in this country, so that foreign interests no longer secretively dominate our airwaves and printing presses. The New York Times is owned by a South American drug lord.  Hello?  Other equally shady interests own large portions of the media and control the American Press Corps by default.  Time to change that, Congress.  Time to change that, Mr. Trump.  

5. Promote media consumer awareness so that the American People not only realize that they are being sold products and services under the guise of informing them, but also know who is doing the selling.

Mr. Trump has noticed and realized first-hand that the Mainstream Media is nothing but a bunch of Shinola Artists, but beyond calling them out as a bunch of liars, it doesn't appear that he knows why they are a bunch of liars---who they are, who they work for, under what restrictions, and what motivates this vile betrayal of trust. 

Let's tell him who owns the media outlets in America.  Let's tell him what the American Press Corps cannot for fear of losing their jobs as well as their souls.

Twittergate: More 'massive child porn rings' emerge on following shock discovery

TWITTERGATE: A slew of child porn accounts have been suspended since the revelation

 

Daily Star Online revealed how thousands of sick accounts hosting graphic images had been exposed by a gamer known only as Molly in an incident dubbed "Twittergate" online.

The indecent images of boys and girls, often accompanied by the caption "legalise 14", were flagged to Twitter.

Twitter has yet to make comment in response to the claims.

In one instance, Molly claimed to have discovered the "approximate location of a woman repeatedly sexually abusing and selling her child in India".

She first made a discovery of indecent accounts on Monday afternoon, when a Twitter account named @0hours began publicly asking for them to be reported.
Molly set up a computer program that could spot all accounts that were linked to each other and made the grim discovery that there were thousands using a huge network to share graphic images.

Activist hacking group Anonymous and their followers have found a new way to attack terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS) by launching a cyber-campaign against the militant Islamist group.

After putting the names and accounts in a public database on Reddit, to be handed over to the FBI, she began to receive death threats and bribes in return for removing individual's from the list.

After Daily Star Online reported the discovery, Molly's Twitter account was suspended, sparking a campaign to get her online again.

Her account was reactivated by 8pm (GMT), when Molly found a new network from the Middle East, which she will hand over to Twitter.

The revelations have sent shockwaves through the online community, who are repulsed that the social network is being used to produce and distribute indecent images of children.

There have been concerns over the alleged censorship of whistleblowers too, as Twitter tries to remove any indecent images from the web.

Many claim it was the company's attempt to whitewash the situation.
However, Twitter explained to Molly that it had suspended her account because "regardless of intent, posting such images or links puts our users in danger of commiting a serious crime by accessing that content. This content is not allowed on Twitter and we do take action to remove it wehn it is reported to us."

It comes as founder Jack Dorsey was criticised for censoring alt-right activists including Milo Yiannopoulos, a Far-Right anti-feminist and political speaker, by removing their accounts from the site.

Reddit has banned the infamous PizzaGate civilian investigation into a potential elite pedophile group in Washington, D.C.

The alleged pedophile ring has been investigated for using Comet Ping Pong’s pizzeria to traffic children. Reddit users are now greeted with the message below when attempting to access to the sub-reddit.

“The subreddit was due to a violation of our content policy specifically the proliferation of personal and confidential information we don’t want a witch hunt on our site.”



Pizza gate was spawned after Reddit users and 4chan’s /pol/ users began digging through connections that James Alefantis, David Brock, Tony and John Podesta and various others had. Finding a number of disturbing images, research uncovered Tony Podesta’s secret stash of disturbing artwork allegedly. UPDATE: 7:50 P.M. EST – New York Times wrote an article featuring James Aefantis in which he called for the banning of this “fake information” and removal of all pictures. The NYTimes failed to mention a number of factors including the pedophile symbolism that researchers have found and pictures of children on comet ping pong’s Instagram. The Times – owned by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, Wall Street banks, and others elites potentially connected to this scandal – also failed to question Aefantis about a disturbing picture of a little girl taped down to a ping pong table and a YouTube video joking about pedophilia at Comet Ping Pong Pizzeria.

Additionally, the NYTimes failed to point out John and Tony Podesta’s connection, and Tony Podesta’s weird artwork under his house. The Times is calling everything in the Pizzagate investigation speculation by “conspiracy theorist.” The NYTimes attempted to say that every point that Wikileaks has brought up had been debunked, failing to even mention the Spirit Cooking emails that We Are Change reported on earlier this month. To sum it up, the NYTimes wrote another biased piece and this time to protect a potential pedophile ring by labeling an independent investigation as “Fake News.”

After employees and Mr. Alefantis complained to Reddit about how Comet Ping Pong was being targeted on the site, the #pizzagate discussion thread posted a warning that revealing personal information about individuals was prohibited.

Clearly the Fifth Estate is slowly emerging as the investigative arm of media worldwide. What also needs to happens is that the lives of the heady Podesta brothers need to be DISSECTED.  Their comings and goings — around the entire globe — need to be scrutinized under the microscope of a super detective.  According to the many WikiLeaks and Anonymous emails which have been released, the Podestas many interconnecting relationship(s) and dubious entanglements go way deeper than just depraved campaign events at Comet Ping Pong.

For those who are uninitiated in this subject matter, PIZZAGATE is perhaps greatest scandal EVER to hit Washington, D.C.  From all the evidence gathered thus far, PIZZAGATE represents many scandals — SERIOUS scandals — all at once.  Child trafficking, Child sexual abuse, Child rape, and Child pornography have all been identified as possible activities which were engaged in and covered up by a massive pedophilia ring run out of Comet Ping Pong.

On a much darker side, there is also good reason to believe that infants and children may have been victimized whereby the perpetrators conducted organ trafficking, tissue harvesting, and blood harvesting.

Go ahead and call the alt media "fake news". Go ahead and have Google continue denying ads to this web site (as has always been the case), and advance that to wiping out others, and go ahead and switch on the censor bots. The Alt media will beat you anyway. Want to know why? I can sum it up in a phrase:

All anyone in the alt media needs to do now is log onto youtube and get the facts straight from the President himself, as he records his own addresses and posts them for the public to see, without them getting washed by you, because he knows you are all proven liars. Oh, but I'd bet Youtube will ban him. So what. He's the President, and can just set up an equivalent and serve the truth from it. Do you think you can stop that? Anyone who blocked that with a spam filter would get busted by the NSA which is now under his control, and be jailed in minutes.

And I try to keep it all accurate, and believe I hit 90+ percent accuracy, which is unusual considering the topics are often either obscure, extracted from conflicting lies to hit a correct outcome, or totally cutting edge where no one else has them until they find it here and re-post. A prime example of this was the Newsweek report, which I had confirmed and proven accurate 2 days before anyone else mentioned it. There have only been two things lately (in the past month) that I did not nail out of the many topics covered, and one was a spoof report about an FBI agent and his wife that were added to the Clinton body count (that I accidentally posted for a day and pulled), and Hillary did not die and or was not irrevocably detained without bail. However, the body double is still a reality. But the body double would not have "smelled like a goblin" and started attacking people on election night and I'll call that confirmation that in some venues (but not all) we still get the real Hillary. Too bad.

Anyway, I'll eat a crow wing over Hillary, but not the whole crow. There was a serious attempt to appoint her as President (like I was saying months ago but not recently), but that attempt has thus far failed. Let's keep it that way and stay on top of her blatant threats to the electoral college electors. Additionally, we need to make sure they stay the same people and are not mysteriously switched out under the radar. Now is NOT the time to take a nap.

Even with it not totally prospected out, there was enough oil discovered to keep America's cars running from that ONE DEPOSIT ALONE to put 183,000 miles on every car, truck, van, and SUV in America if the average MPG with all of them bunched together is 25. Let's say this differently: The average American car gets 12,000 miles a year put on it. THIS ONE DEPOSIT IN TEXAS ALONE, BEFORE IT IS EVEN FULLY PROSPECTED OUT (so it is bound to be even larger than this) is enough, with average American driving, to keep everyone in America on the road for 15.28 years.

That's without even tapping any other American oil or importing from countries other than Saud.

Donna McCartney: Trump cannot re-vitalize fossil fuel industry, "train has left the station" [ http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/nov/21/epa-chief-trump-cant-revive-fossil-fuel-industry/ ]f;">EPA administrator Donna McCartney has issued an open statement, saying Trump will fail to re-vitalize fossil fuels and that clean energy will take over no matter what. She's DEAD WRONG.

FACT: If you took the entire Mojave wind farm in California, with hundreds if not thousands of giant wind turbines and used them to run the electrical equivalent of a large blast furnace and steel finishing line, it would not cut it. You HAVE TO use coal for that, and no green fantasy is ever going to change that reality.

The biggest enemy of American industry and "American greatness" is the EPA, which was used as a weapon against American industry to make it impossible to get anything industrial done by imposing stricter and stricter emissions standards on coal, until it became impossible to run industry. The EPA needs to be disbanded, DONE AWAY WITH TOTALLY.

Let me give you and example of why:

In America, if you want to run a blast furnace, the EPA got so invasive with emissions that you have to have the following systems: 1. A hydrofilter. This is a giant container of marbles that have water sprayed on them constantly while they are partially suspended by the force of the exhaust from the industrial process. The smoke gets stuck to the wet marbles and washes out a waste pipe and then goes to settling tanks, which is another huge system. SOUNDS GREAT. Here's why it is NOT GREAT: You have to have a GIANT, and I MEAN GIANT electrical motor to run a blower system strong enough to push the smoke through the filter. That costs an enormous amount of money in electricity. And the settling tanks have their own motors, and huge systems similar to a wastewater treatment plant for a large city. That is not cheap!

You also have to have bag houses. These are rows and rows of hundreds (or thousands) of fabric bags 30 feet tall that yet another huge blower has to force the smoke through. The fabric is woven tight enough to catch the smoke particles and the bags are shaken, and the smoke falls as a black powder into catch bins below them. Aside from the money it costs to maintain these systems, the electricity costs alone will kill a business, AND THE EPA DOES IT ON PURPOSE, TO DESTROY AMERICAN BUSINESS. I HAVE PROOF:

Back in the good old days, when the EPA was just getting going, industrial processes like blast furnaces started using electrostatic precipitators. And the effect was DRAMATIC, and I mean DRAMATIC, with 90 - 95 percent of emissions knocked out by that one device alone. That one device alone, which was CHEAP to operate was enough to get rid of practically all the smoke. That one device alone, which was CHEAP TO OPERATE turned the city sky blue again. Ditto for the cheap to operate catalytic converters on cars, which were introduced at around the same time.

But that did not cut it for the EPA, and it should have been enough if the environment was the objective. But no, the EPA instead sought out (with obvious intent only for the purpose of killing the country) tighter and tighter emissions standards that required ever more complex systems to meet the standards. In the end, things got so complex (even in the 90's) that 60 to 70 percent of the cost of running industry in America was emissions cleanup.That destroyed American competitiveness, and made it possible for a bunch of comparatively pathetic Chinese to overtake America economically.

People are quick to blame America's high wages for the jobs getting shipped overseas. Folks, that was NOT IT. Americans are so productive and intelligent at work, and produce such high quality that the wages can be paid NO SWEAT, and America before the EPA became weaponized proves it. It was BOOM TIME. After the EPA was allowed to run amok, emissions cleanup ALONE often exceeded total wages paid to employees by a huge margin. High wages demanded by American workers was NOT the problem because the American worker was worth the high wage. The real problem was the EPA.

And I have personal experience which proves the EPA was the problem

When I worked at a large steel mill (at an advanced level in automation and electronic controls) one job I had was to, on occasion, switch emission control systems because due to EPA regulations, you had to have two parallel systems in case one went down. And occasionally you had to switch one off for maintenance. These systems used SO MUCH POWER that we had to call the power company first, and warn them one was going to be started because if we did not, and they were not ready to increase their output it could trigger a blackout. There were individual motors in the system that by themselves created start up demands of over 50 megawatts. Once spun up, they'd only draw 7 megawatts or so, but WOW, what an electric bill for ONE motor! There was nothing else like that in the entire facility. And yes, the system ran so clean you could not tell anything was being made, there was no smoke AT ALL.

Here's the punch line: The EPA was threatening the facility with shut down, because they could walk around the premises with hand held sensors that could tell there was an industrial process happening, even though the average person would see no smoke and not smell jack. Every one of us knew that their only intention was to destroy American industry, because the only way to make it "cleaner" was to cut our throats and shut it down.

FACT: The EPA is an enemy on American soil, which seeks only to destroy the nation.

FACT: No country on earth has ever had industry survive as long as America's did with such tight environmental controls. And only American ingenuity made it possible for it to survive as long as it did.

FACT: All of America's competitors, who can somehow do it "better and cheaper" are allowed to run straight stacks and spew smoke like an 1800's locomotive. AT MOST, (in a few countries) they have to use afterburners (which are practically free) and electrostatic precipitators (which are virtually banned in America because they are "not good enough".) Reality - they are just too cheap to operate, and won't kill industry which is the true objective of the EPA.)

FACT: Industry makes a mess. But the most basic of efforts will get rid of 95 percent of that mess. Efforts that any business could survive. But 95 percent is just not "good enough" for the EPA, AND IF 95 PERCENT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, WHOEVER IS DECIDING IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH IS AN ENEMY OF THE STATE. That much should be OBVIOUS to anyone.

FACT: The EPA is run and inspired by communists, who are probably foreign agents on American soil that have only the objective of destroying America so communism elsewhere can take over. The only way to handle the problem is to shut down the EPA and repeal American emission standards to where they were in 1979, if not 1973. It was already good enough at that time. An electrostatic precipitator paired with an after burner really is good enough.

FACT: Get rid of the EPA, and the American workers can show their worth and get paid a high wage, rather than having all their pay get siphoned off to pay for ridiculously meticulous emissions cleanup. If one thing shows Democrat hypocrisy, it is the EPA they worked so hard to make so ridiculous, which made things so expensive that the American worker (who they claimed to support) got the shaft. That alone proves the "democrat" leadership, at the highest levels, cares about no one at all.
