The earthquake progression across the Pacific that was expected to take place this week has begun in earnest. The West coast of the United States surely needs to be on watch for greater activity this week (just in case).
Multiple (3) earthquakes above M4.0 struck the West coast of the United States over a few hours time in California , and Arizona late last night (November 1st into 2nd).
We then saw larger M5.0 movement occur in Central America near El Salvador, which resides further Southeast from the West coast USA along the "edge" of the Pacific plate.
After the aforementioned activity along the West coast of the USA + Central America, a new borderline M6.0 earthquake struck the West Coast of the Alaskan Aleutian Islands near Atka Volcano along with a subsequent swarm of M5.0 events.
With all the activity which has occurred in the past few hours (late November 1st into early November 2nd CST) Clearly the West Coast of North America is under heavy stress at the moment.
Alaska's Atka volcano is the location of an earthquake swarm which struck in early September 2015 (2 months ago). Now we see a new swarm has broken out near the same location.
This now makes two large earthquake swarms at this obvious volcanic location within the past 2 months. I'm beginning to think we could be looking at a possible volcanic event taking shape in the Aleutian Islands. Possibly something at the Atka Volcanic complex itself.
Mount Atka is the largest volcanic center in the central Aleutian islands, but hasn't erupted since 1987.
"The largest volcanic center in the central Aleutians, Atka consists of a central shield and Pleistocene caldera with several post-caldera volcanoes. A major dacitic explosive eruption accompanied formation of the caldera about 500,000 to 300,000 years ago.
The most prominent of the post-caldera stratovolcanoes are Kliuchef and Sarichef, both of which may have been active in historical time. Sarichef has a symmetrical profile, but the less eroded Kliuchef is the source of most if not all historical eruptions. Kliuchef may have been active on occasion simultaneously with Korovin volcano to the north. Hot springs and fumaroles are located on the flanks of Mount Kliuchef and in a glacial valley SW of Kliuchef."

We were expecting to see large Pacific / West Coast earthquake activity this week.
