Obama would have been better off following their lead. Not only has he been active in letting the public know who they should vote for, Obama is apparently more than willing to act as Hillary’s shield in the wake of her growing pile of scandals.
Maybe his goal is to become a super hero after his career in politics is over.
Days ago, Aine Donovan, director of the Ethics Institute at Dartmouth College, said the Obama administration definitely has a problem with the appearance that it has failed to pursue questions of misconduct by Hillary Clinton.
“We don’t want people let off the hook just because they have a public name. I think it is very important that we follow up,” Ms. Donovan said.
At least someone seems to recognize the need for our leaders to actually follow the laws they swore to uphold.
But one institute calling him out is just the start. The lawyer for the nonpartisan Project on Government Oversight, Scott H. Amey, added his own opinion saying, too.
“Certainly there are some questions about independence when the same administration that appointed Mrs. Clinton is also investigating her,…my hope is that there is enough integrity in the system to fight off any politicking and damage control, but that might be a heavy lift for some in federal government circles. Only time will tell.”Keep hoping, Mr. Amey.
So far, Obama has tried to protect Hillary Clinton as much as possible, but he is running out of lies to spew. Obama even allowed Hillary to testify without being sworn in or under oath when questioned about her secret email server.
Frankly, the Democrats don’t take anything seriously when it comes to their own people, including swearing to tell the truth. Why start now?
Obama was certainly behind the State and Justice Departments saying that poor defenseless Hillary had said enough publicly about her email scandals.
Maybe he just wanted her to shut up like the rest of us do.
In Obama’s defense, Clinton has said she thought she had permission to use her secret account. Nobody at the State Department has acknowledged giving her approval though. This discrepancy, Judicial Watch says, must be settled by Hillary in sworn testimony.
It is not an unreasonable request. Except to Obama, who said that the discrepancy wasn’t enough of a reason to force the former secretary to go under oath.
People who have nothing to hide don’t try to dodge speaking under oath.
Common sense would indicate that after everything that has been exposed between then and now, Obama would back off a little. Maybe give Hillary a chance to defend herself.
Obama continued his explanation in an interview with news outlet NowThis:
I do think that there is a norm that when there are investigations, we don’t operate on innuendo, we don’t operate on incomplete information, we don’t operate on leaks.Who exactly does Obama think he is trying to fool? Oh yes, voters.
If you are still listening to him at this point, he is still denying any wrongdoing on the part of Clinton.
Hillary Clinton, having been in the arena for 30 years, oftentimes gets knocked around, and people say crazy stuff about her, and when she makes a mistake — an honest mistake — it ends up being blown up as if it’s just some crazy thing. The only crazy thing happening here is that so many people are still fighting for her as if she is innocent. That must have been some really strong punch she handed out.
This is not a story if we are discussing a friend of Hillary’s defending her actions. If her friend from high school comes out and says these types of things, we can dismiss them as slanted and perhaps a misguided attempt to help.
This is not a friend from high school.
This is the current President of the United States of America.
Oh wait, there was something. A pesky little principle (someone give Obama a dictionary here) of judicial independence.
A line that dictates that the president shouldn’t risk the perception of influencing investigations by commenting about whether they are appropriate or how they are conducted.
Can’t anyone help him with this? Phone a friend maybe?
The Obama administration is continuing to bury itself in the dirt that is Hillary Clinton, her campaign, and her entire career for that matter. We have seen Presidents leave office as “lame ducks” or under scandals of their own.
Obama seems compelled to bury his legacy with Hillary’s scandals, though. In doing so, he will be lucky if he can find the way out of the White House through the mounds of hypocrisy and deception he has piled on his own administration while protecting Hillary.
We cannot allow the Democrats to maintain control of the United States. Each time we look, they are telling more lies to protect themselves and each other.
End the corruption here! Deny Hillary the right to continue dirtying the office of President anymore than Obama already has. We have the power to end this madness on November 8th.
Will you do your part?
