If so, you are considered part of the 'mass affluent' by banks and your dollars are much desired by them. What are the perks for the affluent? The are as different as the bank and marketers can come up with.  I've seen any and all of the following offered: Wine and cheese; chocolate chip cookies; separate lounges; after hours appointments; good products and good service in a private setting; concierge-style service for banking chores; special lounges in airports; or  personalized service, you can always interact with your assigned financial adviser (you can also just walk into the bank and use any of the people there). Here are even more examples: A 24x7 service phone line so that you can do things like a wire transfer, get new checks and etc after bank hours. Other perks can be things such as the below Free wire transfers. Use of out of network ATMs without fees One consistent contact for any need (your adviser). Adviser recommendations on investments to make No foreign exchange fees for debit card usage outside the U.S. No charges for domestic and international wire transfers, notary services, personal checks, traveler's checks, stop payments, online overnight checks, and more Higher daily withdrawal limits on debit cards A special debit card that can be linked to your checking account and given to children, home staff or others, with specific monthly spending and withdrawal limits that are set by you for each cardholder Specialized lending products Preferred mortgage benefits Expanded credit guidelines Access to a greater variety of credit cards. How do you get those perks? All you have to do is deposit very large sums of money and get very little interest from the bank on it! Some banks allow you to combine several accounts together to reach the minimum threshold for the 'privileged' status. Others don't let you in unless they invite you. Some banks have seperate facilities to use, others combine it with there regular branches. What banks are offering special deals for the affluent? Many banks have tiered service levels depending on how much money you keep with them. Four that specifically service the mass affluent market are: Bank of America has a 'preferred' level and has a thousand Financial Solutions advisers recently hired to channel their money into Merrill investments. HSBC Premier offers perks such as helping you relocate your banking and credit information when you move, providing emergency funding and next day card replacements, premier airport lounges and more Citibank's Citgold and Citgold Select provide a personal point of contact for you, reductions on certain fees and access to more loan products, among other things. Chase offers Chase Private Client with some of the above bulleted perks. Should you sign up for affluent banking? If you like feeling privileged, want to use an investment adviser from a bank (who will recommend proprietary products) or if you travel a lot and if you don't mind not earning interest on your banked money these accounts may be for you. Brooklynmatt from the Flyer Talk online forum isn't buying into them.  He said: "All [HSBC] Premier or Citigold is really is a chance for the bank to lock in your money at no interest and facilitate sales of their proprietary products under the guise of Wealth Management." However, Chuck 2007 likes HSBC Premier. His comments on the Flyer Talk forum included: "I have been a HSBC Premier customer for just under 2 years and overall have been quite satisfied. Here are the positives as I see them: 1. Got a Kindle for signing up and depositing $50K 2. Opened a brokerage account and was able to buy US corporate bonds at a lower price than I could at either Schwab or TD Ameritrade 3. I save transaction fees every month since I do regular transfers to a foreign bank account 4. While traveling abroad, I am able to use the HSBC Premier Credit card with no foreign exchange charges 5. I opened a business account recently and have been able to do international wire transfers for a fee of $15 (compared to $30-$50 at other banks) 6. I won't be using them myself.  Too much money at no or low interest rates results in lower investment gains.  Besides, the perks aren't ones that are meaningful to my lifestyle.

  The Fukushima nuclear reactor disaster is the worst in the history of the world. And it is far from over. There are 15,000 plus spent fuel rods in process and in danger of melting down and exposing the northern hemisphere with more than 330 million Curies of radiation; 134 million Curies is from cesium 137. There has been no significant effort to decontaminate this disaster.
The danger to humans from radiation exposure is primarily from damage to the intestinal tract and the bone marrow because these are the most radiosensitive cells in the body. When the balance between free radical production from radiation exceeds our antioxidant capacity, we develop pain and inflammation that leads to chronic diseases including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
We can protect ourselves with antioxidant rich foods that contain sulfur, so our cells can manufacture glutathione and other antioxidants. Examples include garlic, onions, ginger, cruciferous veggies, eggs, ECGC, juicing, and sea vegetables that include seaweed salads, miso soup, kim chi, and water cress. We can also benefit from supplements that include vitamins, A, C, E, D3, lipoic acid, resveratrol, quercetin, l-glutamine, protiotics, and sometimes, iodine.

Just one curie can be fatal and there is a total of 336 million curies of energy in these rods; 134 million is in the form of cesium 137. This is somewhere between 10 and 85 times what happened in Chernobyl. Almost no cleanup has been done and none is planned that we know about. The fallout is poisoning our food, water, air, soil, sea and sea life. It is imperative that we prepare to protect ourselves and our loved ones from this potential radiation damage.

How much radiation does it take to make us sick?
Six Gray units (one gray unit is equivalent to one Sievert or 100 RADS) can be lethal and just one Gray is enough to cause acute radiation sickness that is characterized by nausea and vomiting within 6 hours of exposure. 

What are the symptoms of acute radiation poisoning?
Intestinal destruction that leads to nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea within a few hours or exposure
Bone marrow failure that causes bleeding and immune suppression that leads to infections within a week or two 

What is the mechanism of radiation poisoning?
Ionizing radiation destroys tissue by causing free radicals to form
Antioxidants prevent the free radical destruction by neutralizing them before they can cause pain and swelling and autoimmune and chronic degenerative diseases such as cancer
Antioxidants are depleted when there is free radical stress, which causes a deficit in our cells' ability to repair cellular damage
Thus, it is critical to keep large amounts of antioxidants in our body
Remember that regular intense exercise is the best way to increase you antioxidant levels, so stay fit!

What foods can help protect us against radiation damage?
Foods rich in sulfur such as garlic, onions, ginger, brassica veggies, and eggs; they make glutathione, the most important intracellular antioxidant in the human body
Foods rich in ECGC that is found in green and white teas
Juicing is the most potent nutrition you can consume because it is nutrient dense and rich in antioxidants (especially berries)
Fermented foods that are rich in probiotics such as sauerkraut and yogurt
Sea vegetables that include seaweed salad, miso soup, water cress, and kim chi
What supplements does Dr. Saputo recommend?
Vitamin A 5000 IU per day plus beta carotene 25,000 IU per day
Vitamin E 800 IU per day
Vitamin D3 10,000 IU per day
Lipoic acid 100 mg per day

Iodine if exposed to I 131 (see below)

Do you need iodine and how much?
If you're exposed to iodine 131 it is good to take about 65 mg of iodine in the form of SSKI for adults and half that for kids. If exposure is prolonged it is important to supplement with one grain a day of desiccated thyroid as well. Other opinions on this amount are double for adults but need to be offset as this is a temporary basis situation.

Bentonite clay helps absorb radiation.  As a first aid measure upon
exposure or symptoms onset start taking internally.  It absorbs poison
and radiation and helps gather and pass through.  Activated charcoal
also good for many toxins.  Have also been taking a liquid cq10 that is
very helpful.
We must proceed knowing our bodies are under assault and face this
challenge with as much advantage as we can give ourselves.
I also believe the ph balance is critical.  Both inside and outside our
bodies.  The chem trails are affecting ph.  Fungi grows only under
certain conditions.  The spores are always presenr-never destroyed, just
waiting for the right mileieu.
So apple cider vinegar and (not at same time) baking soda can both help.

According to this shocking story just breaking on WND, the son of a jailed Muslim Brotherhood leader in Egypt claims that “he has the goods that will land Barack Obama in prison.” What are we to think of this new development? In a thinly veiled threat, Saad Al-Shater said a U.S. delegation was sent to Cairo by Obama to press for the release of the imprisoned Muslim Brotherhood leaders, including his father to prevent the release of explosive information.
Arabic-speaking former PLO member Walid Shoebat has translated the report by the Turkish News Agency Anatolia as follows:
In an interview with the Anatolia News Agency, Saad Al-Shater, the son of a Muslim Brotherhood leader, the detained Khairat Al-Shater, said that his father had in his hand evidence that will land the head of United States of America, President Obama, in prison. He stressed that the senior U.S. delegation currently visiting Egypt, knows full well that the fate, future, interests and reputation of their country is in the hands of his father, and they know that he owns the information, documents and recordings that incriminate and would condemn their country. Such documents, he says, were placed in the hands of people who were entrusted inside and outside Egypt, and that the release of his father is the only way for them to prevent a great catastrophe. He stated that a warning was sent threatening to show how the U.S. administration was directly connected. The evidence was sent through intermediaries which caused them to change their attitude and corrected their position, and that they have taken serious steps to prove good faith. Saad also said that his father’s safety is more important to the Americans than is the safety of Mohamed Morsi.
Writing in his blog, Shoebat noted that six different Arabic sources confirmed the interview with Saad Al-Shater and the report of Al-Shater’s claims.

The king hoped that the statement, whether it was accepted or rejected by the natives, would absolve the King of all responsibility for the resulting slaughter and enslavement of these people. He used this statement as justification to confiscate their lands and possessions by his soldiers and the Pope's priests.
Apparently, the Pope, personally, did not have any feelings of guilt or responsibility in the matter.
Airl thought that such actions were those of a coward (look into your own MIRROR, love!! - Bob**) and that it is no surprise that the territory of Spain was diminished so quickly. Only a few years later the king was dead and his empire had been assimilated by other nations.

In the case of the acquisition of Earth by The Domain, the rulers of The Domain have chosen not to openly reveal this intention to the "native inhabitants" of Earth until a later time when it may, or may not, suit their interests to reveal themselves.
For the present time, it is not strategically necessary to make the presence of The Domain Expeditionary Force known to Mankind. In fact, until now, it has been very aggressively hidden, for reasons that will be revealed later.
The asteroid belt near Earth is a very small, but important location for The Domain in this part of space. Actually, some of the objects in our solar system are very valuable for use as low-gravity "space stations".

A new mainstream report from Forbes finds that the agency has financed a company called Palantir, which creates data mining programs that allow spies to sift through vast amounts of data and pinpoint individuals.

Forbes reports that the software has already been used to track down individuals, including Bin Laden and Mexican drug cartel members. The software can also track payments to their source, and Palantir is making it available to banks and other financial companies.

CIA Funded Spying Makes Money for Billionaires

The CIA put up the money to start Palantir, which is run by a Dr. Strangelove-type character named Alex Karp. Karp lives and works in Silicon Valley and has a bodyguard with him wherever he goes. Karp owns around 10% of Palantir; other investors include PayPal and Facebook billionaire Peter Thiel.

Palantir is now worth several billion dollars, and it might soon go public. Billionaires, it seems, are profiting from the military industrial complex’s assault on our privacy. Worse, the tools developed to spy on us by big government are now falling into the hands of big business. The result, as Anthony Gucciardi has reported, is corrupt corporations getting paid millions of dollars by US spying agencies to continue spying on as the US economy as a whole collapses.

From CIA to Corporations

When Palantir started, the CIA was its only customer, but now it is trying to sign up companies like JPMorgan Chase. The most disturbing customer is the New York Police Department. It isn’t clear what the police are doing with Palantir.
Forbes has exposed a dangerous relationship between the intelligence community and technology companies. One has to wonder how many of them are really funded by the CIA or NSA and what they do for Palantir.

Perhaps most disturbingly of all, Palantir actually plotted to launch a cyber attack on WikiLeaks. In other words, it tried to destroy a politically motivated group that has embarrassed the federal government on numerous occasions. NEW JERSEY — It was recently uncovered by Intellihub.com staff that the corporation of the U.S. Army, could be used to mask a massive militarized weaponization of the “enemy” in an effort to generate more wartime revenue for the privately owned military industrial complex.

What is most startling about the bid request is not only the sheer amount of AK style rifle magazines but the fact that the standard U.S. Army issue rifle is not of the AK family. The bis request called for “592,825 (approx) AK Rifle Magazines: 7.62x39mm Caliber, New Production, Steel, 30 Round Capacity”.

In fact, a write-up on MilitaryAnswers.com reads, “and fires the same round. It is essentially a shortened version with a 14.5 inch barrel that is preferable if you are in close-quarters combat. The basic M4 is a standard issue rifle for the Army. M4s have a trigger group that allows semiautomatic and three-round burst fire modes. By 2014, the Army hopes to replace all off its M4 carbines with the more advanced M4A1 variant.”

Out of the millions of rackets that the government has established in key facets of our everyday lives, the speed trap and red light cameras are among the most hated.  Some areas have even wasted thousands of dollars in tax money to buy cameras to monitor the speed cameras, because so many people were destroying them.

Now news is emerging that these cameras aren’t just a part of a government racket, but they are also rigged.

 The Newspaper reports that DC camera contractor American Traffic Solutions has started cropping photos and repositioning cameras to make the citations issued as a result of photo evidence harder to challenge in court. A court recently ruled that if any additional vehicles are visible in a gotcha photo, it can be questioned.

American Traffic Solutions began doctoring photos after one driver had his ticket thrown out because the photographic “evidence” showed two vehicles in frame — and in radar range.

Cropping photos and moving cameras doesn’t totally eliminate multiple cars in one frame, but it does cut down on them dramatically. What’s more, the camera repositioning makes it impossible to see the lines drawn on the side of the road, which are designed to act as a secondary check against the radar.
Many sources are reporting that this is not just in DC where the company in question is based, but it is in fact happening all over the country.  This practice also extends to red light cameras and other situations where traffic is monitored by video.

And it’s not just law enforcement and traffic cam contractors reaping the benefits of cropped photos and shortened yellow lights — the money goes all the way up. A reform bill aimed at red light/speed camera systems tanked earlier this year in the Maryland legislature, thanks to nearly $100,000 in direct contributions from camera companies (and their subcontractors) to lawmakers in Annapolis.

Many people who follow alternative media and don’t trust the government to begin with wont be at all surprised by these new developments.  Many of us have been saying that these set ups were total scams since they were rolled out several years ago.

Obama faces Dem backlash over latest NSA revelations

The Obama administration faced a backlash from congressional Democrats on Friday following revelations that the National Security Agency broke privacy rules and overstepped its authority thousands of times since 2008. 

The details were reported late Thursday in The Washington Post, based on an audit and other secret documents provided by NSA leaker Edward Snowden. The report challenged claims by President Obama just last week that the NSA was not abusing its authority, and complicated his effort to reassure Americans and Congress that -- with a little more oversight and transparency -- the surveillance programs are nothing to be worried about.
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi called the latest reports "extremely disturbing."
Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said: "Reports that the NSA repeatedly overstepped its legal boundaries, broke privacy regulations and attempted to shield required disclosure of violations are outrageous, inappropriate and must be addressed."
Senior lawmakers said they had been unaware of the audit until they read the news on Friday.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said he planned to hold another hearing in the wake of the report.
"The American people rely on the intelligence community to provide forthright and complete information so that Congress and the courts can properly conduct oversight. I remain concerned that we are still not getting straightforward answers from the NSA," Leahy said in a statement. "I plan to hold another hearing on these matters in the Judiciary Committee and will continue to demand honest and forthright answers from the intelligence community."
Obama has repeatedly said that Congress was thoroughly briefed on the programs revealed by Snowden in June. The two that were described vacuum up vast amounts of metadata -- such as telephone numbers called and called from, the time and duration of calls -- from most Americans' phone records, and scoop up global Internet usage data.
Proposed legislation to dismantle the programs was narrowly defeated last month in the House, and at least 19 other pending bills are aimed at restraining NSA's powers or changing how the agency is regulated, according to a count kept by the ACLU. The July legislative effort brought together Libertarian-leaning conservatives and liberal Democrats who pressed for change against congressional leaders and lawmakers focused on security.
A week ago, Obama sought to soothe concerns by promising to consider reforms to NSA surveillance.
"It's not enough for me to have confidence in these programs," he said at a White House news conference. "The American people have to have confidence in them as well."
He announced changes such as convening an outside advisory panel to review U.S. surveillance powers, although it is unclear how that would differ from the existing U.S. Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, mandated by Congress to monitor surveillance and constitutional concerns.
Obama also said the NSA would hire a privacy officer -- though the NSA already has a compliance office. None of those measures would seem likely to stop the kind of inadvertent collection of information that was described in the NSA audit.
Most of the infractions revealed late Thursday involve unauthorized surveillance of Americans or foreign intelligence targets in the United States, both of which are restricted by law and executive order, according to the May 3, 2012 audit, and other top-secret documents.
The May audit counted 2,776 incidents in the preceding 12 months of unauthorized collection, storage, access to or distribution of legally protected communications. Most were reported to be unintended, and many involved failures to take sufficient care or violations of standard operating procedure. They ranged from significant violations of law to typographical errors that resulted in unintended interceptions of U.S. emails and telephone calls.
The most serious incidents included a violation of a court order and unauthorized use of data about more than 3,000 Americans and green-card holders.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, backed up the administration on its claims, releasing a lengthy statement on Friday afternoon claiming that most the compliance problems at the NSA happen when the agency inadvertently collects records on a non-American who enters the U.S., a point when the NSA is supposed to follow different procedures.
"The majority of these 'compliance incidents' are, therefore, unintentional and do not involve any inappropriate surveillance of Americans," she said. "As I have said previously, the committee has never identified an instance in which the NSA has intentionally abused its authority to conduct surveillance for inappropriate purposes."
Late Friday, the White House issued a statement saying, "the majority of the compliance incidents are unintentional. The documents demonstrate that the NSA is monitoring, detecting, addressing and reporting compliance incidents."
 It directed questions to the National Security Council, and NSC spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden directed questions to the NSA.
NSA spokeswoman Vanee Vines said the number of incidents in the first quarter of 2012 was higher than normal, and that the number has ranged from 372 to 1,162 in the past three years, due to factors such as "implementation of new procedures or guidance with respect to our authorities that prompt a spike that requires `fine tuning,' changes to the technology or software in the targeted environment for which we had no prior knowledge, unforeseen shortcomings in our systems, new or expanded access, and `roaming' by foreign targets into the U.S., some of which NSA cannot anticipate in advance but each instance of which is reported as an incident."
"When NSA makes a mistake in carrying out its foreign intelligence mission, the agency reports the issue internally and to federal overseers -- and aggressively gets to the bottom of it," Vines said.
