MT. VERNON, TEXAS, WHOREHOUSE SUES LOCAL CHURCH OVER LIGHTNING STRIKE!

Diamond D's brothel began construction on an expansion of their building to increase their ever-growing business. In response, the local Baptist Church started a campaign to block the business from expanding -- with morning, afternoon, and evening prayer sessions at their church. Work on Diamond D's progressed right up until the week before the grand reopening when lightning struck the whorehouse and burned it to the ground!

After the cat-house was burned to the ground by the lightning strike, the church folks were rather smug in their outlook, bragging about "the power of prayer." But late last week 'Big Jugs' Jill Diamond, the owner/madam, sued the church, the preacher and the entire congregation on the grounds that the church ... "was ultimately responsible for the demise of her building and her business -- either through direct or indirect divine actions or means."

In its reply to the court, the church vehemently and voraciously denied any and all responsibility or any connection to the building's demise. The crusty old judge read through the plaintiff's complaint and the defendant's reply, and at the opening hearing he commented, "I don't know how the hell I'm going to decide this damn case, but it appears from the paperwork that we now have a whorehouse owner who staunchly believes in the power of prayer, and an entire church congregation that thinks it's all bullshit!"

this is too easy-the judge must find in favor of the cat house people-for the Baptists engaged in prayer-a form of magic-that was black magic because they did not pray for the highest good of all concerned-Baptists pray for what they desire/want-they prayed for God to strike down those sinners-and this is very likely their prayer because God does answer prayers. The church people got what they prayed for in hubris and self interest and they were happy until they got the karma that went with it-a lawsuit with the church peoples names on it. They publicly put themselves out as believing in the power of their prayers-an indisputable fact, and facts don't change to suit the convenience. Lesson here, if you pray-play it safe, pray for the highest good of all concerned and let God keep His?Her?It's job of deciding the details of that!

Well Big Jugs, seems you're own comments will null and void any insurance claims you may have made!

This is to easy? Not so fast there. The Church simply needs to file an affidavit on the record stating: The above signed...Church did not pray specifically for the cat house's destruction via a lighting strike. We might add, (optional)that we believe, because Satan is the primary source of destruction in this world, that he is the perpetrator of this act. In other words, their own god did it. They could never prove otherwise. The facts have just changed.

You're all wet. They didn't pray to strike down the sinners -- they prayed for the cathouse not to expand. There was no murderous intent here. And if God DID do it, then how can you sue Him? God doesn't make mistakes. Either way, the cathouse loses.
