WSBT: The reader board now displays two messages. The first reads, “Wake up Christians. Allah is not our God. Muhammad not greater than Jesus.”
The second says, “Only the Bible is God’s word. ‘Holy book.’ Koran is just another book."
“I literally had to stop and back up and make sure I saw what I saw, and I was profoundly offended and upset by it,” Eric Cohn said. Cohn, a leftie Hood River resident, first spotted the message while he was out for a bike ride. He couldn’t believe what he was reading, and he isn’t the only one.
“I was really annoyed and sad,” Hood River leftist mayor, Paul Blackburn, said. “I am annoyed that in this political season there’s a solid case of ugly going on. I think it norms up this kind of behavior like ‘oh it’s okay to be a bigot now.’”
Both men are concerned the sign sends the wrong message about their town. Cohn was so worried that he even wrote a letter to the editor of the local paper. “This one guy wrote in here that I’m a terrorist almost. You ought to see what he put in here!” Pastor Michael Harrington said, as he read from the letter.
Harrington spotted the letter and is now defending the messages he put on the sign. He says everyone is overreacting. “I’m not politically correct. I’ve never been politically correct, but I think I’m biblically correct, and that’s what matters to me,” Harrington said.
Harrington doesn’t plan to take the messages down until the first of the month, when he was planning to put new messages up anyway. He says anyone is welcome to come by his church to discuss the matter over coffee and doughnuts.

God is not correctly represented by any religion. Religion separates humanity. I do not advocate the influx of muslims. I do not advocate the irritation of them either.
If we had the luxury of talking to each muslim and explaining that all religions are faulty, perhaps we could get some where.

How can you promote peace by getting under the skin of those who you would prefer to change their behavior?
Love and understanding, an unwinding, is the key.
"Canned" Christianity, while promoting kindness in theory, is not exempt from making use of the real practice of love.
While the whole bizarre scenario is playing out, we are best served by at least being serene.
Focus on what you want and do so in a positive way. Turn your attention to something that makes you happy and forgive those who have offended you.
The words peace, love, understanding, etc are NOT in the Koran nor taught in islam. Islam does NOT teach nor practice those words, not even within their own family and social circles but, instead, are taught from birth about hatred, death and destruction to ALL who do NOT subscribe to their muhammad. There is NO 'talking' with muslims. They are instructed to say and do whatever to deceive the 'infidels' and then to kill them once their back is turned. No where in their recorded short history is there one shred of evidence of islam EVER providing peace and love to ANY one or to ANY nation. In fact, they fight against their own religion – islam being about their political position rather than being a ‘religion’. With Islam it is ALWAYS a battle to conquer and destroy for them. Muslims go in to a nation to swallow them up, to change them to islam, to destroy them, NOT to assimilate themselves in to the nation. Any nation or people are foolish to believe that there will ever be peaceful coexistence with muslims. To practice politically correct BS with muslims and to continue to allow their migration into our nation is to set ourselves up for turmoil, war and self-destruction. Truth is truth. History proves this. History repeats itself. We have but to look at what is going on in Europe and throughout the middle east right now to have the proof of this. Why on earth do we Americans believe that we can change the muslim belief system after hundreds of years? Pride cometh before a fall - are we now setting up our nation for that fall at the hideous hands of the muslims we are allowing to be brought in to our nation? We can say "NO!" and we can demand that their import STOP NOW and that those already here be given a trip home back to where they came from. They don't 'fit' here, and Americans had better not be STUPID and allow this division of our people and our land to continue at the criminal hands of those currently unlawfully in 'power' over our nation. That in itself has got to be addressed and SOON or our nation won't survive for the muslim issue even to matter. Anon 10:21 here. I'm aware of the hundreds of years of damage done to the collective psyche of this group and it may not be possible to talk muslims out of their mindset (more like years of therapy for some if it would do any good at all), but it was talking them into the religion that made them that way along with years of revenge and tradition. Even though their so-called religion, which is as well a legal system, is atrocious, I still think love is the answer, though this is tricky business at best.
Believe me, I would not have let them in this country. I would have turned military into carpenters and other construction workers and helped them live where they originate. No way would I have them come here for relief of any kind. I'm not as liberal as you may think. I believe in love, but I also love security.
I agree they don't belong among Christians of any sort.
There are many who would love to escape their own religion. This proves they are not all the same. If it was possible, it would be great to be able to extract these souls from the group, if there was a way to measure their sincerity.
It would be best for them to go to their homeland and better that the attempt be made to help them with their misleading religion from a distance or leave them to evolve on their own and stay out of their way.
There are muslims that are peaceful. I've heard it said, however, that these same people would "turn" on "infidels" if demanded by their leader. I wonder if they would after acting civilized for so long. I'm sure, like with all people, there are those with decency within that wouldn't allow them to act in a harmful way. I think many muslims, who've dribbled into the country, have come here to escape their religious traditions without upsetting the familial apple cart too much... I'm sure of it.
How can people convert to Islam? Being born into it is one thing. I believe it is because a very selective education on Islam is given to candidates for conversion. I can't imagine anyone originally Christian would convert to Islam knowing what is actually written in their book. It is not good for them nor anyone else. Bless them all and bless the world. Peace.
Believe me, if anyone was asking the Americans for permission, Americans would say "no" is right. Forgive them and stay close to God with you. Think kind thoughts for the entire world and love will abide with you. Love is for everyone who chooses it.
We are being of to a time line of peace or destruction by our own intent. If ones chooses destruction then that is their timeline. If one chooses peace then that is their timeline. I am often stunned by those claiming to being of Cheist that are driven by fear & destruction rather than by love & humanity. Now that is a true end result & billboard of what their religions end result has produced.
