BANGKOK:
— Bangkok residents will soon benefit from wireless electricity, after the
Ministry of Energy and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration today announced
plans for a major redevelopment of the capital’s electricity network.
The Bangkok Metropolitan
Administration believes that the new wireless electricity scheme, also known as
Wi-Fi Electric, will revolutionize the way people in Bangkok will be able to
use electricity in all aspects of their daily lives.
No longer will residents have
to worry about running out of battery power or having to charge their
smartphones or tablet computers using a mains adapter.
Instead they can rejoice at
being able to play Candy Crush Saga and Cookie Run on Facebook and Line, or
taking an unthinkable number of selfies on Instagram at anytime of the day or
night, without the need to recharge.

Wi-Fi Electric will be
supplied direct to an electronic device from a series of state of the art power
terminals which are currently being constructed at key strategic points across
Bangkok (pictured above).
Wi-Fi Electric will also mean
an end to the mass of untidy and dangerous power cables that create an
unnecessary eyesore throughout the city.
The voltage of the Wi-Fi
Electric is 110V in the initial BETA phase, but 220/110 converters will be on
sale for 995 THB at selected 7-Eleven stores across Bangkok, where users
will also be able to redeem 7/11 stamps towards the cost of purchasing a
converter, shown below.

Thai residents in Bangkok are
invited to sign up for Wi-Fi Electric at their local Metropolitan Electricity
Authority office, ensuring they have a copy of their ID card.
Foreign nationals residing in
Bangkok who also want to apply for the Wi-Fi Electric scheme will need to
submit the following documents along with their application:
- Original
passport, with 3 photocopies
- x3
copies of valid visa
- 4
passport photos, 4x3cm
- Copy
of yellow Tabien Ban
-
Copy of condo rental agreement where
applicable
- Photograph
of applicant stood outside place of residence
- Birth
certificate
- Map
to house, condo or place of residence (Google maps not allowed)
- Copy
Marriage certificate
- Copy
of Children’s birth certificate (where applicable)
- All
copies of documentation must be signed and dated
- Only
foreigners married to a Thai national qualify
Speaking at the launch of the
Wi-Fi Electric scheme, official spokesperson, Mr Somchai Wittiporn said “This
is a truly great day for the people of Bangkok and for the Thai nation as a
whole.
“Today will go down in history
as the day that Thailand became the worldwide hub of wireless electricity and
follows on from other successful government initiatives such as the rice
pledging scheme and providing our thriving Prathom student population with
tablet computers.”
With the initial launch of
Wi-Fi Electric set to commence in Bangkok later this week, it is believed that
plans are already at an advanced stage to introduce this new technology in
regions throughout Thailand, most notably Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket and Hua
Hin.

Many people have physical problems being in continuous WiFi environments, and don't even realize that is causing their health problems. Our body's weren't designed for these frequencies.
I shudder at the thought of city-wide WiFi. You can't get away from it. I look forward to the new technologies that will eventually be replacing these frequencies. Pat
TOTALLY INSANE!! This is yet another example of technology running totally amok!! The Thailand Ministry of Energy has clearly not done its environmental-impact due diligence. If low-power Wi-Fi is detrimental to biological life, how much more detrimental/lethal would high-power Wi-Fi be? A far better solution to the world's/Bankok's power needs would be any of the free-standing, off-grid free-energy technologies that have existed since the late 1800's but suppressed all this time by the government/industry mafias of the world. When will the walking brain-dead of this world WAKE UP?!!
Anymore new postings i am all excited, this is insane, free energy, what other technologies are hidden , that has been shown on this site for years , with abundance to come, wait it was done ,no close , no done,no waiting, no near , close,BALLOON CHASING WITH NAMES ON THEM, DONE, close, closer ,BACK IN THE ROOM TO TRY AND FIND THE NAMES WRITTEN ON THOSE BALLOONS AGAIN,FINALLY THEY GOT IT RIGHT, DONE .ABUNDANCE AND BLESSINGS AWAIT ALL. . NO BACK TO DAY, WEEK MAYBE, YEAR. TOLD NO MORE POSTINGS ABUNDANCE DONE. BY looks of free energy for only one country, the world is far off in ABUNDANCE ETC>
I am all for free energy etc.if it gets off the grid by suppressed government/industry mafias of the world as 4:00 pm states. Though 8:20 may sound a little pissed. like 4:pm.Time for the world to wake up indeed. And agree with 2:02 pm Free energy, cleaner energy.would be a delighted site.Any more knew postings.
Nice ,Wireless electricity not bad. I see a couple of reply's seems a little ticked off ,that's good .Sometimes it takes a few out spoken to wake the world up.
