The immature disrespectful unappreciative NFL players

From one of our faithful readers:

I don’t think this could have been said any better, and it definitely is about time someone said it.  Hopefully, this will go out over EVERY computer in the U.S. and maybe, just maybe, these sports people will get the message of just how ridiculous and immature they are to disrespect our flag, and how little what they do in sports compares to what our great military has done for this country.

NFL protesting the flag - POWERFUL!!

Image result for Ret Marine Col. Jeffery Powers
Ret. Marine Col. Jeffery Powers wrote to the NFL commissioners the following:

"Commissioners, I’ve been a season pass holder at Yankee Stadium, Yale Bowl and the Giants Stadium.

I missed the ’90-’91 season because I was with a battalion of Marines in Desert Storm. 14 of my wonderful Marines returned home with the American Flag draped across their lifeless bodies. My last conversation with one of them, Sgt. Garrett Mongrella, was about how our Giants were going to the Super Bowl. He never got to see it.

Many friends, Marines and Special Forces Soldiers who worked with or for me through the years, returned home with the American Flag draped over their coffins.

Now I watch multi-millionaire athletes who never did anything in their lives but play a game, disrespect what brave Americans fought and died for. They are essentially spitting in the faces and on the graves of real men, men who have actually done something for this country besides playing with a ball and believing they’re something special! They’re not! My Marines and Soldiers were!

You are complicit in this! You’ll fine players for large and small infractions but you lack the moral courage and respect for our nation and the fallen to put an immediate stop to this. Yes, I know, it’s their 1st Amendment right to behave in such a despicable manner.

https://coxrare.files.wordpress.com/2016/09/ap177600776455.jpg?w=616&h=518What would happen if they came out and disrespected you or the refs publicly?

I observed a player getting a personal foul for twerking in the end zone after scoring. I guess that’s much worse than disrespecting the flag and our National  Anthem. Hmmmmm, isn’t it his 1st Amendment right to express himself like an idiot in the end zone?

Why is taunting not allowed yet taunting America is OK? You fine players for wearing 9-11 commemorative shoes yet you allow scum on the sidelines to sit, kneel or pump their pathetic fist in the air. They are so deprived with their multi-million dollar contracts for playing a freaking game!

You condone it all by your refusal to act. You’re just as bad and disgusting as they are. I hope Americans boycott any sponsor who supports that rabble you call the NFL. I hope they turn off the TV when any team that allowed this disrespect to occur, without consequence, on the sidelines. I applaud those who have not.

Legends and heroes do NOT wear shoulder pads. They wear body armor and carry rifles. They make minimum wage and spend months and years away from their families. They don’t do it for an hour on Sunday. They do it 24/7, often with lead, not footballs, coming in their direction. They watch their brothers carted off in pieces not on a gurney to get their knee iced. They don’t even have ice! Many don’t have legs or arms.

Some wear blue and risk their lives daily on the streets of America. They wear fire helmets and go upstairs into the fire rather than down to safety. On 9-11, hundreds vanished. They are the heroes.

I hope that your high paid protesting pretty boys and you look in that mirror when you shave tomorrow and see what you really are, legends in your own minds. You need to hit the road and take those worms with you!

Time to change the channel."

Powers originally sent his letter to former Florida congressman Allen West. West then posted the letter on his news website.

As of last week, at least 18 NFL player had protested the anthem by either kneeling during the anthem or raising their fists, according to USA Today Sports.

If you agree with what Powers said, please pass this on.

Let's take a look at these ahos from another angle, shall we?  In what other nation on the planet could these immature, ungrateful, self-aggrandizing, swollen headed, selfish idiots EVER receive the kind of money and the attention that they do from the fans here in the States to throw a pigskin? What other nation has enough wealth for fans to be able to pay the exorbitant ticket prices to watch these swollen headed, ungrateful, disrespectful, even stupid idiots?  And what is wrong with the fans that they continue to go to the games, purchase the franchise apparel,  or watch them on television when these players exhibit the disrespect they do for the fans, for the nation and for their brothers and sisters in the service, many who have given their lives in an attempt to stop terrorism both abroad and here in the states?

These selfish players only care about how much money they are raking in, and how much attention they receive from screaming fans - especially the easy pick-up girls, the mansions they can buy, the Mercedes, Ferraris, multiple mansions and tons of diamonds and gold jewelry they can afford to buy. And, to top it all off, they get away with their immature disrespectful behavior because of their bosses, and only care about how much more money and better team positioning will they receive in the next draft.

The ONLY thing they care about you or me is are we still willing to pay to watch them as our purchase of the tickets increases their bank accounts.

People, make a stand. Pickett the games. Stay home - don't watch on TV. How bad would that affect you? What is more important? Doing what is right to teach immature thumb suckers about making wise decisions, to be appreciative for what the game and the fans afford them to have, respect for fellow Americans, and maturity in their acts and decisions? Or feeding and supporting their self-promoting egos so they can take it a step further and act worse then they already do now.

Sure, they have their First Amendment 'right' to demonstrate their positions BUT SO DO WE. USE IT OR LOSE IT! Who wins? The ahos who disrespect America and all those who love her and have made it possible for these vermin to even have this job and income? Stand with your fellow Americans who value more than what hangs between their legs and how their game playing and money gets them opportune times to use it. Make it known that you do not appreciate their disrespectful acts and decisions and, until they change for the better, you won't be providing monies toward their salaries. We don't need them, but they DO NEED US to continue with and to maintain their high-falutin lifestyles and attitudes!  DO IT!

School taught us a history of a flag.
People pledge allegiance to a flag.
I pledge allegiance to the flag...
Folks kill people over a flag.
People died defending the honor of a flag.
If someone burns a flag, someone who fought for the flag believes they should die.

As people wake up, those who are 'set in their ways about the flag, because of everything they did for the flag', will get mad at the people waking up.

It has nothing to do with the people who think the flag is important.
It has nothing to do with the people who BELIEVE the flag is important.

It has to do with people challenging their own self.

To thine own self be true.

It those people challenging what they see, believe, support.
Those people are challenging what they have been told and what they know.

People that allow people to 'discover their self', will not be angry at someone for taking that journey.

It's like being an alcoholic and then journeying away from it
Or not being an alcoholic and drinking and not knowing when to stop.

Each direction is a personal journey.

To be or not to be, is not about anyone else or their beliefs.

I hope everyone can see that it's not about you.
It's about the one doing the walk.
It's about the one with their footprints in the sand asking Jesus if he's there with them why is there only one set of footprints.

It's not about the masses.

Please let people discover who they are and what they want to know without having a war or major disagreement or hatred.

A republic, a true republic allows people to do what they do for their own pursuits as long as they don't infringe on the rights of another or cause injury.

Not saluting, anything including a flag is a personal pursuit, protected by a republic and mentioned in a constitution of the people and would fit smugly in the Bill of Rights as a unalienable right to life (as one wants to live it)

For those that fought for a flag.
I apologize in advance, it has nothing to do with you or what you did.
You were living your life.

The Sports "figures" are supposed to set an example for the youth of America. We the American people do not like the example some of these anti-American sports figures are setting for our youth, we do not want them making big salaries, we do not want to watch them play and cheer for them, and we don't even want them in Our Great Country America the land of the Free and the Home of the Brave! Why? Because they are anti-American.

Good points! Thanks! However, by their actions - their choice to not participate - how the naysayers/demonstraters/players APPEAR to the public that becomes the issue. Most of them don't even know or understand what they are demonstrating against - but are following one of them who has a strong ability to lead others. The flag is a piece of cloth. It can look good or bad, mean one thing to one and something else to another, so what is accomplished by not simply saluting and be done with it? With the way the non-educated,uninformed and don't care to be are moving like rats after the cheese across this nation, others will follow their lead when THEY don't even know or understand what the REAL underlying issue is that they are protesting. They listen to others opinions and are easily influenced by others rather than digging the truth out to make their own personal decisions instead of others influencing them. Is saluting the flag at a game with thousands there in agreement THAT important as to be divisive and destroy the excitement for the game, or to destroy the nation over a decision to not salute a flag? Allot to ponder here. We can all think about this and more during the coming times when certain ones are shooting others, ramming people with their vehicles, blowing up homes, businesses, hospitals, emergency vehicles and more, well paid spoiled brats who simply don't know how to or care to get along with others who think differently nor care enough to go with the flow and make life work for all. Sit back and enjoy watching your nation disintegrate while we allow the problem makers to continue with their childish divisive destructive behavior.

One small problem with these self discoverers, they are Fueling an agenda. Americans wish to honor their country as it is the best country in the world. That's why immigrants come here. Those immigrants who see the value and want to give in return are a blessing to the country and people. Those that want to turn Our Country into what they came from and take, take ,take, steal and rape need not come here, because they will find they've made a terrible mistake. We don't need schism, division , and hatred, being sown here as it does affect other people and the people just want to be happy, live in peace, help others as they can, and not have someone throwing fuel on a fire of hatred.

The entire sports industry is a farce but why would you care if someone chooses to not worship a flag representing illegal criminal corporation USA?

flags? said...

Who said 'worship' the flag? Where was 'worship' implied? Standing and repeating a pledge with your fellow Americans with the flag in view is simply a reminder of who we are, where we have come from, and what this nation means to us. We don't fight for the flag but we do fight to acquire, maintain and protect the founding principles of our nation. To most Americans the flag represents our freedom, way of life, government, our Constitution, and all that our country can offer its people when the nation is not held hostage to the likes of the criminal cabal for the past 200 years. You saying it is wrong to favor and to be reminded of the above qualities? Are you one of those that wants all the historical monuments and statutes destroyed - torn down, too? If you are going to continue to espouse your 'opinions,' then at least come up with viable ones instead of this garbage. There is no 'worship' of the flag that we have seen nor participated in, and the same holds true for the historical monuments and statutes that the idiots on the left side of the turnip patch are now attacking. What a shame there are so many mindless idiots in this once great nation. Our biggest concentration right now should be to EDUCATE the PEOPLE. They have been taught via 'no child left behind' and 'CORE' lies by the leftists hell bent on destroying everything this nation stands for.
