(Thanks, Reader. :) A Reader sends us the following link to a blog article making a case for the idea that all that's happening right now is part of a long-term plan of movement toward a New World Order we wouldn't choose if we knew about it. My 'antennae' think that probably _was_ the plan, and that it was in process of being implemented - but, "the best-laid plans" don't always work out. :) I think some additional players on the world scene may have quietly watched all that was happening and then scuttled that plan.
