Not only is there less ink, the ink cartridges have an expiration date. When the date hits, the printer shuts down and wont print until the "expired" cartridge is replaced with a new one. Talk about have a captured consumer base!!
Thats why I stop having anything to do with HP products 2 years ago...and your right about the "Expiration Date" scenario...they did that to me twice before I took it out of home and had FUN trashing the damn thing before I threw it in the garbage in little pieces!
Well I guess its time to buy something other than HP printers! They already over charge for that lil bit of ink anyway now they want to get stingy and put less than half of what they use to have in them? They can stuff their ink and their printers~
Absolutely correct with that info...
I bought new HP printer and was happy with it till it suddenly stops working, just out of the blue!!! It was less then 2 years old...
Besides, it's already wasted too much ink.
Now I have another one - Epson WorkForce 635 and just love it!!!
It's printing and printing, just what it should do!
Hp should go to hell and faster the better!

Even I had the same problem. When the expiration dated hitted my printer got shutdown. Planning to buy new one but not from hp anymore.
