611 banking resignations, when you look at the total number of banks in the world, means nothing.

The resignations refer to the very top leaders of the banking systems and that means quite a bit. There are lots of banks but only so many banking systems and people in charge at the very top. You take down the leader of Bank of America, Chase Bank etc. and you have made a great impact and that does mean alot.
