ALERT – Ted Cruz Makes BRILLIANT Move Against Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood Allies

Texas Senator Ted Cruz just reintroduced two bills that never would have made it past the president’s desk in the last eight years, but soon a patriot will be in the White House.

Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), along with Ted Cruz, introduced two bills that WILL better protect us all from Barack Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood pals by calling them what they are: terrorists. 

The bills will also take on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is also a foreign entity supporting violent and radical Islam groups that have vowed to destroy the West.

“I am proud to reintroduce these bills that would codify needed reforms in America’s war against radical Islamic terrorism,” Senator Cruz said. “This potent threat to our civilization has intensified under the Obama administration due to the willful blindness of 'politically-correct' policies that hamper our safety and security.”

The bills sponsored by Senator Cruz require a report to be compiled to determine if these two groups, which Obama often applauded, meet the criteria to be included on the Foreign Terrorist Organizations list. If they are placed on that list, Congress could end the funding provided by American taxpayers that supports their efforts.

“A grand détente with the Muslim Brotherhood and a blind eye to the IRGC are not pathways to peace in this struggle.  They guarantee the ultimate success of our enemy. It is time to call this enemy by its name and speak with clarity and moral authority,” Cruz also said.

The IRGC Terrorist Designation Act was introduced as a piece of companion legislation in the House of Representatives. The IRGC functions as both an economic and military power in Iran. The United States Treasury Department has already designated the IRGC-Quds Force as being involved in terrorism, but the State Department has refused to do so.

“If a foreign organization looks like a terror group, operates like a terror group, and supports terrorism, then it should be called for what it is – a foreign terrorist organization,” Congressman McCaul said. “As obvious as that seems, for years the IRGC has been allowed to operate clandestinely using front companies and illicit networks to evade formal designation.”

The Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act was also filed as a companion bill in the House. It, too, urges the radical Islamic terrorism group to have levied upon it the terrorist organization designation it has long deserved.

“The Obama Administration has chosen to turn a blind eye to these activities for the sake of a flawed nuclear agreement, which Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei stated publicly would not alter Iran’s behavior. 

As a result, the Iranian-Quds Force continues to fund and train terrorist proxies abroad, such as Hezbollah and Hamas, putting our allies in the region at risk and betraying U.S. national security interests. 

The time to hold the Ayatollahs accountable is long overdue, and this legislation is a step in the right direction,” Congressman McCaul added.
